I was concerned about the recovery because of my age, but I feel like my recovery was right where it needed to be. I am almost 4 months post op. I was able to return to work after 2 weeks of my procedure. I would also like to say that his front office staff was always so pleasant and professional. I also had the pleasure of meeting Janell (patient coordinator) and she was nothing short of incredible, she explains everything as far as charges for the procedure and you leave with no questions. When I went in for my post op visit with Rachael everything was explained in detail and I left excited for the procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Stoeckel and Wake Plastic Surgery if you are contemplating plastic surgery.

I accept some responsibility for not being more specific than "slight". Surgery went well, but I developed complications, including a MRSA infection that created a hole in my left breast that constantly drained fluid. I contacted the office when the incision started draining and was told the doctor was out of the country and there was no one that could help me. I had to go to an urgent care center to pack the wound and give me instruction on how to change dressings (which involved inserting gauze into the hole). I went to my own physician for wound cultures when it didn't seem to be healing..that's when the MRSA was discovered (commonly caused by lack of proper sterile techniques during surgery). I had to do dressings for over 2 months until it healed, then the breast developed tethering (some lower breast tissue sticking to upper abdomen). I had a revision for this, but that breast is even smaller due to creating a new scar and cutting away the first (and another charge for this correction).

So when…read moreI went into Dr. Blanton's office to discuss my saline implants and how one had deflated recently I knew I was going to choose the least invasive option. Dr. Blanton's office staff makes you feel so at ease. Keely on the phone is so warm and friendly. You feel as if you have known her for a while. When Dr. Matthew Blanton's walked in I felt almost immediately that he is the right doctor to handle my situation. We discussed options for removing the existing implants totally and doing nothing cosmetically and how that would look as i age into my 70s. Dr. Blanton's went through videos of other patients with similar situations and other options which included a breast lift after the removal of the implants. He also offered replacing the implants with new ones and was transparent in the fact that, in the future, there is a high probability that one or both would deflate again and need attention. He spent almost a full hour listening to me, hearing the anxiety in my voice over anesthesia at my age, and truly weighing the best options for my body, age, and current physical health status. Then Summer joined Dr. Blanton's for my physical exam to confirm our pathway forward. I felt so comfortable with my new team that I inquired about extra skin removal in my abdomen area. Whichever way I go with Dr. Blanton's and his team of professionals, just the implant removal with breast lift or add in the abdominal skin/fat fix, I am confident that I have chosen the best doctor to attend to my needs with a team of dedicated health care workers who will see me through successfully from pre-op to post-op and through my rehabilitation. I have now had my breast implant removal surgery and breast lift as of 9/25. I made the BEST choice for sure. My surgery team was nothing short of spectacular. From my anesthesiologist to my care team, every single one of them was experienced and kind. Dr. Blanton has a great and caring bedside manner and his skill as a surgeon is surpassed by none. Thank you all. My post op care was very solid. I followed every instruction and healed perfectly. I am 8 weeks after my surgery and back to my physical regimen. Loving life and glad I had this done at 65 and not 75!

The whole office staff is just as friendly and very accommodating as he is. He has a very friendly personality and takes him time making sure you know everything. He shows you plenty of pictures, different aspects of the procedure, and answers all questions you have. His nurse Lisa that helped through the whole process is great too. The day of surgery he took his time before going through what was needed and made sure I had no last minute questions and called the night of surgery to make sure I was okay. I am thrilled with the job he has done and how little bruising that I have! I recommend him to anyone needing any plastic surgery!

I asked for the tip to not look as bulbous and to be moved in closer to my face and now it sticks out farther than before. I addressed my concerns with Dr. Finn, mentioned he forgot to smooth the side lumps on my bridge and flatten the bulge of cartilage on the right side of the tip and the shift in his attitude was disheartening. I then got told I was "chasing perfection"! He agreed to fix the bridge, but wanted to actually widen the tip. Absolutely not! I did/do have a big nose so widening the tip that was already too wide was not an option, especially if the bridge would have been smaller! Anyways, it's been six years and my nose looks even worse now. Nostrils flare more when I smile, a piece of cartilage is prolapsing into my left nostril, it's more crooked and droopy. I did have a complex case so I feel like if you have a simple fix or two, then he would do a good job. I just really didn't appreciate the attitude I got when discussing a revision and I feel like for 8K it should have looked much better!!!

I go to Blue Water Spa, the medical spa he owns. I wanted to stay ahead of aging issues, so I got a consultation for a facelift. This man took so much time with me, answered all of my questions and he actually told me that I really didn't need a facelift! He asked about all of my concerns and I pointed out all the things that bothered me. Based on my concerns, and his evaluation, I ended up getting liposuction of the chin and an upper blephoplasty which is just a little skin from the upper eyelid removed. The change is weirdly both subtle and dramatic. My eyes are opened up more, and my jawline is perfection. My recovery was not painful at all and I could not believe how fast I was back to my normal routine. There are no visible scars as he made incisions in the regular creases. My eyes were puffy and red for about four or five days. I never even had bruises. I just wore large sunglasses for a week. People asked me about makeup or skin care. I just look better but I don't look like I've had surgery. I am so happy with my results. I think I can put off surgery for quite a few years, but when it is time for a facelift, I know exactly where to go!

This was to be able to pull the skin in both directions to avoid having to move my belly button and then have a fourth vertical incision. The surgery was not a success. I was left with an apron of skin along my bikini line. By breast were pulled down by the incisions underneath them that I then had stretch marks on my chest between my breasts. It also pulled my beasts down so that my nipples point down instead of forward. When I went back for my check up he tried to pass off the apron of skin as something that would resolve by itself but I refused to accept that. He made me feel like I was being ridiculous and picky for not being satisfied. He agreed to revise the tummy tuck by making a much wider incision and pulling down the loose skin hit by doing that he ended up having to move my belly button. He said he could fix my breasts but I would have to pay for a breast lift. At the end I am left with drooping breasts, incisions underneath them, a vertical incision on my stomach ( no bikinis for me), and having to pay another $1,400 to cover his cost for anesthesia for the second surgery. He couldn't care less. He just wanted me gone and for me to stop complaining. Next month I am having my breast lifted and a new tummy tuck to fix all this mess. Buyer beware.

I would not recommend that anyone see Dr. Gupta. To be frank it's disheartening that someone such…read moreas him is practicing medicine as he has absolutely ZERO tableside manners. I had a bad experience from the second I walk in the door. To start the receptionist was very rude, the waiting room was overcrowded with barely enough room to sit and then I had to wait 40min after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. From there the first lady that brought me back to the room was kind and understood my frustration and explained they were nearly double booked for every appointment that day which is understandable. Once I saw the doctor he walked in the room and did not even introduce himself, he immediately just started reading my referral. From there he grabbed his otoscope and checked my ears, then sat in front of me without saying a word and stuck a nasal speculum in my nose, propped it open and blew gas in my nose with ZERO warning or explanation of what he was doing. He didn't greet me, didn't explain he was about to begin the inspection, didn't walk me through what he was doing and explain that it may be uncomfortable and smell/taste odd, he didn't say a word and immediately went into it. Secondly, when it came time to scope my nasal cavity he did the same exact thing, grabbed his tools and didn't explain a thing to me. He asked me for consent for the scope using the medical terms (I'm assuming for billing purposes) but never explained what he was about to do. I knew so little that I was opening my mouth because I thought he was going to scope my throat, it wasn't until he was 1 inch from my nose that he goes "oh no its going in your nose" then 1 second later started snaking the scope up my nasal cavity. I was so ill-informed I thought he was going in my mouth.. Then as I was wincing from being uncomfortable, rather than comforting me he proceeded to tell me that "it isn't that bad." The entirety of my consultation I couldn't get a single word in as he over talked me every time I tried to engage with him. Tried to explain my sinuses, over talked me then later asked if I have sinus issues. Kept giving blanket statements like "tell me more" with no elaboration as to what he'd wanted me to expand on, seemed more like it was self validation to feel that he was trying to let me talk but was ingenuine and had no direction. The icing on the cake, after I left the office I received a notification that they had filled a prescription for me for an ear infection - I later found out this was an error. This seems to follow suit with their quality of care. Having family in the healthcare system and being engaged to a doctor I understand some things happen but this was exceptionally poor service. I've sat through white coat ceremonies and he took a pledge that he is not upholding as this is far from the best care he can provide. He was rude, arrogant and clearly had no desire to hear my story and understand what I was experiencing. He just wanted to read my referral and rip through it. I'm sorry but this is a private practice specialty, not the ER. If he is overwhelmed it is by his own doing. He clearly has a god complex and thinks everyone is beneath him. People like this SHOULD NOT be practicing medicine. I will not be moving forward with care here and will be canceling my CAT scan appointment. I would highly recommend another practice, a good friend of mine just referred me to Raleigh Capitol Ear Nose and Throat. I would recommend you take your business there as he has nothing but great things to say after having a successful surgery.
