Went to Raleigh Radiology on 11/7 and still no results. I would have gone to EmergeOrtho had I known. Won't be going back here again. 11/18 still no report. 11/19 still no report and can't give me a timeframe. Edit of review on 11/21- Quenita Todd, the Patient Relations Manager who replied to my review took my call and made sure my results were read that day. She was apologetic and very helful in getting things resolved. Based on my experience with her I would give them another chance. She made sure to follow up several times as well. Very unprofessional business practices. Raleigh Radiology- Clayton, NC performed and MRI and over a month later had not filed a claim with my insurance company. A call to their third party billing company in Indianapolis Indiana revealed their billing department had no record of me, my MRI, and no claim filed nor bill generated. They emailed a bill for $1470.00 one day later, after business hours on a Friday night. A call to their billing office the following Monday resulted in their telling me they filed a claim with my insurance company the date of the MRI a month earlier. This was untrue and verified by BCBS customer service. I called their local Raleigh NC office number and asked to speak with the practice manager. They disconnected the call. I have filed an official complaint with Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC. I have filed a complaint of the Raleigh Radiology website. I have filed a complaint with the Chamber of Commerce website for their Clayton, NC site. I have no problem with scheduling, completing the MRI and timely results. It is terrible that their billing practices are so poor and unprofessional. I do not recommend Raleigh Radiology. Their customer service response is equally unprofessional. There is no way to reach a Raleigh based person in charge of this practice. read more

I chose this location because of the distance from my home.. but my experience here was poor. I will not return. My test required me to "prepare" before the appointment. I pre-registered because I didn't want to hold up the appointment time. Person after person, after person....AFTER person was pulled back before me. My husband took me to my appointment and as he saw me in extreme discomfort, he asked the receptionist when I would be pulled back. He was given "in a few minutes". Well a "few minutes" turned into over 15 minutes later. When I was finally pulled back, I briefly mentioned the wait time and the tech played it off. Additionally, the floors in the patient room weren't the cleanest and neither was the bathroom. My appointment was on a Friday and the front desk/other staff were extremely casual as if they were just trying to get through the shift. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Maybe it was just this particular site...maybe it's the whole chain. Either way, beware. read more

Website advertises no doctor referral needed to make an appointment (certainly increases the chances that folks without a primary care physician might be scheduling their appointments). I set an appointment well in advance. By phone. No mention of needing a primary care physician to get a screening. I filled out the registration paperwork online in advance of my appointment. No mention of needing a primary care physician. In fact, where the paperwork asked for my doctor's name, I put none. I take off work and show up 15 minutes early for my appointment. They won't do the mammogram because I don't have a primary care physician. Also offered NO suggestions for where I might get a mammogram with no primary physician (clinics, hospitals, etc.). So much for caring about helping women detect breast cancer. Follow up: Got a call from a wonderful lady in the main office named Shawn. She didn't mention seeing this review. I explained the website info piece and the registration paperwork piece and she seemed genuinely interested in making the primary care physician requirement more clear earlier in the process. She also offered to help connect me to some folks who might be a good fit for primary care services. She even offered to see if she could find me an imaging place that would do the screen even if Raleigh Radiology - Clayton could not. This woman was top notch and I am grateful she reached out. I'm convinced she sincerely cares about screening and the patient experience. read more

My mammogram technician Barbara was a joy. She was personable and caring. Getting these is not always an enjoyable experience, so it helps when the person is nice! I've had CT and Bone Density tests done there. Always a pleasant experience! Leave a bit early because main entrance is under construction so you have to make a right turn at the light before the entrance. read more

I am writing this review more than 3 years after the experience due to Raleigh Radiology having deleted their google reviews page and I believe everyone should be aware of their bad business practices. 12/10/2021: I have enjoyed the professional and knowledgeable radiologists that Raleigh Radiology provides but I give them one star because of their EXTREMELY dishonest and incompetent billing practices. I had billing difficulties the first time where I received a bill for $320 5 months after the service date. When I called the representatives told me that I only owed $160 which was not represented anywhere on my bill. I paid this bill shortly after and then received multiple delinquency notices and threatening mail stating I was sent to a collection agency. It took me more than 45 minutes to get in contact with a representative in the billing department for them to tell me that my account balance was $0.00 but that they could not explain why I was sent to the collection agency let alone provide me proof (until I called more than 4 additional times). Months later I needed another procedure and I reluctantly had a Raleigh Radiologist because I had no other choice but I did not wish to go through the billing headache again. No more than 5 weeks after attending my appointment and fully paying my hospital bill, I received a text message from Raleigh Radiology stating that my bill was WAY over due and that I would be sent again to a collection agency. I never received a statement bill from Raleigh Radiology so there was no possible way I could be already late on my bill payment. Also the links in the text message to pay my bill said that my account did not exist. After this second round of billing practices I went to the lead of the billing department Jamie where she has not yet responded to my contact (November 22nd). I only 3 days ago received my billing statement from Raleigh Radiology in the mail and it is dated (11/30/2021) 8 days AFTER I received notifications about being sent to a collection agency. I will be reporting these multiple dishonest billing practices to the BBB and any other type of medical regulatory agency I can. read more
