This review is long overdue. I have been a customer of RR since 2016. I worked around the corner and had discovered this place mainly due to seeing poke & juices on the menu. Coming from the W. Coast and seeing poke offered in the south.. I knew they knew what was up. They did... but my only feedback which I have noticed and they did improve overtime was the size of the fish pieces. Poke is supposed to be cut into tiny pieces not huge mouth-full sashimi pieces. I noticed I now don't have try and cut the pieces even smaller with my chopsticks. So thank you! I used to juice myself before juicing with RR. If you have ever put in that labor you will understand why they cost that much and why it's worth it. I originally started with the 3-day cleanses. Using them as a reset and helping me overcome sugar addictions. Now I have a subscription and just incorporate them into my diet. I stopped working downtown a year ago and was so sad to miss my beloved downtown Raleigh spots especially Raleigh Raw.... until... DUN dun dunnnn they came out with the meal subscriptions. When they announced it I was quick to hop on even though I knew it would be a bumpy road at first. It was... lol. But I had faith in RR and knew they would work out the kinks and they did! Now the subscriptions make a lot more sense rather than the pilot program. I am now on my 3rd and have one of each- breakfast, lunch, & dinner. I still get those downtown vibes and reminisce on being inside the cozy RR when I get my deliveries. RR has made my life so much better. I don't know what I'd do with out them. I even had some crappy days downtown and found solace at that bar (them smoothie + CBD oil days). Personal Faves: Poke- Faroe Monch with salmon Juice- Cashbah + Kale Me Maybe Smoothie Bowl- Khaleesi Acai Bowl Smoothie- CBJ I want to thank everyone there the whole team for being so awesome and delivering the most delicious and nutritious meals in the area. Thank you Emily for all your kindness and great customer service for the meal subscriptions & Megan (not sure if she's still there..) for being so nice and welcoming in the front of house in my downtown days. If you're looking for quality healthy (much of it vegan) foods and drinks either hot or cold then you'll want to give Raleigh Raw a try. The food: they have various breakfast bowls to choose from that are tasty and freshly made. Fresh fruits in either matcha, açaí, oatmeal, or granola. For lunch they offer poke bowls or sushirito. These options can include tuna, yellowtail, or salmon but there are vegan options as well such as bbq jackfruit, coconut meat, or sweet potatoes. Lots of other delicious options available in macro bowls as well. They also have a rotating soup menu which offers solid and tasty options. For desserts they offer parfait and truffles. For drinks they have plenty. Hot beverages include coffee (with or without your favorite 'mylk'), espresso, lattes, americano, cappuccino, keto coffee, etc. Other hot drink options are hot chocolate & apple cider. They offer cold nitro brew! Lastly, they have many really delicious (but pricey) cold-pressed juice options. All are very good. They have lemonades, teas, wheatgrass/turmeric shoots, juices, and even some cbd products Everything they do is great, but they are fairly expensive. THE BIG: Located in the quieter part of downtown Raleigh. Small space tucked away in the high rises. Very health oriented restaurant that serves POKE! Also juices if you roll that way. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I was CRAVING poke. Living in DC spoils me with access to a variety of ethnic foods. Although since leaving Raleigh, I do have to say that the food scene has gotten better here. Starting off with Poke! You can choose between the pre-made poke dishes or create your own. I created my own with Tuna as my protein, sticky rice as my base, and spicy ginger as my sauce. Presentation was gorgeous and I do have to say the flavors were really good. The fish is fresh :D. My buddy got one of the juices ~$8 which is a decent price. THE FINAL BAMBOO: For a tuna poke bowl, it was about $13.89. Small portions. Really small. Very fresh and delicious. But small for the price you pay. We got tuna and salmon bowls. We absolutely loved it! We never tried good poke bowls before so for us it was a great experience. The atmosphere is cool and funky. I would say you kinda want to be "the part of the club" and you feel a bit awkward when you are not. It was our first time and we felt like we were in New York cause decor and the whole vibe is definitely more "big city" type. This is one of the first locations I've dined at when I arrived to Raleigh, and I always see myself coming back here They've updated their menu since the last time I've came here, but my resolve to order a Poke has never wavered! With choosing a style, I always go with their spicy option, the Hustle, on a half rice and half salad base, with tuna as my protein! I will say it's quite delicious, especially when adding in some of their soy-free soy sauce and their vegan spicy sauce (please correct me if I'm wrong!). I love Raleigh Raw!! The fish is so fresh, and it's a very light meal. I've never tried any of the smoothies/juices, but the poke is delicious. I think that's their specialty, so it's definitely what I would recommend getting. They have 3 bowl combinations, and then you can add your protein. They also have a few vegan options you can get instead of adding fish. I always get the Faroe Monch bowl which is advertised as being sweet and savory. I usually add raw salmon because it's my favorite! It's really really excellent. Prices are a bit high, especially if you add fish for your protein. Bowl usually comes out to about $13 without tax/tip. You're paying for high-quality ingredients - this is ESPECIALLY important with raw fish, so it's understandable. Bowls are also a pretty good size so I leave feeling pretty full. It's a cool and funky atmosphere, very chill vibes, great place for young people. Similar vibes to being in LA maybe? Parking is a bit hard, but usually I only go if I'm already in the DT Raleigh area and have to park anyways. I'll definitely be back!! read more

Today there was a brunette at the front who was eating at the front in between customer- that's a big no no! The blonde girl was there too so there should be no reason she couldn't walk to the kitchen instead of eating her bowl in front of guest. I asked for a napkin and she pointed to the front, she ended up grabbing a few and bringing it to my table. Annnnndddd.... kombucha on tap! Healthy food, good drinks, & a sweet spot to chill... what could be better? Located on Hargett behind the janky CVS, Raleigh Raw is new on the scene- DTR has lacked a fresh juice bar, and Raw doesn't disappoint. They place is open & clean, and the owners are so sweet! Their fresh pressed juices are tasty ($7-10), and the fresh smoothies are tasty too (I liked the spicy green one). Sara is addicted to the butter coffee, or "crack coffee" as they call it. Most importantly, they carry Tribucha kombucha & rotate through the flavors. $4 for pints of kombucha is great, and they sell growlers too! $10 deposit & $15 refills. Oh, and they also have kombucha cocktails on the weekends (bottomless for $25). They also serve poke' and a few other salad & rice bowls... they all look so fresh & great! Oh, and they changed their M/F bathrooms to unisex (anti-HB2 yeah!). Love their bistro set out front to people watch too :) All in all, Raleigh Raw has become one of my favorite places to chill & get kombucha on tap (growler fills & pints galore). Decor was perfect. It fit my style in a way I have not seen many places in Raleigh. I'm from Maryland. Poke bowl was fresh. I got a rosarito with tuna. Next time I would get half and half rice and greens because the greens were pretty hefty and not cut up small so it was kind of hard to handle eating the bowl and looking pretty while doing it lol. I can't say it was the best poke bowl I've had, but its definitely up there. I'd have to come back and try a different variation to get a better conclusion. Prices are a bit steep here. Not uncomfortable but just know it's on the pricier side. My bowl was $13 with tax by itself. All in all, I'll be coming back to try some of the other tasty looking items on the menu. Worth the slightly challenging parking and cost. I was in the mood for a Poke bowl and was looking for a nearby restaurant. RR was close and I hadn't tried it so that made it an easy decision. I didn't order in advance, but used the app while waiting in the back. It's a hip vibe with energy. I ordered two different bowls and added tuna to both. I also removed jalapenos but thats probably too much detail. My wife and I shared them and both were great. Interesting flavors, pleasant textures and visually appealing. Such a cool vibe and atmosphere! Very hip and new. I was walking through downtown and needed a coffee so I stopped here. I was hoping for a cold brew, but they only had nitro cold brew and no iced coffee so I had an iced americano. I typically have oat milk in my coffee, but they only had almond milk. (Update: they are vegan so no oat milk). Overall, the coffee was ok and I was disappointed that they did not have regular cold brew, but the shop was a very cool place.
