Pre construction (2005-2016) - 4 stars. My only issue would have been to add more organic and gluten free options. During construction 0 stars. Couldn't find anything and when I asked I was told by three different people three aisles and never found what I needed. Post construction - barely 2 stars. They took out several registers. You'd think k the day before Father's Day they would beef up for lines into the aisles. Not so much. So I self check out hoping it would be faster. Not so much. It froze waiting for assistances 6 times. The first time there was.no one monitoring the self check out. If 7 would have happened I was gonna walk out. While self check out in occasion is nice, I'd rather have someone else do it. I'm not on the pay roll to check out and bag my own stuff when you are short staffed. Super disappointed after so many years of great service. read more

I've been shopping at this Raley's for over 6 years and they are consistent with their customer service. The store is always well maintained and clean. The carts are gathered regularly so you always have a cart when you walk in. As of March 2017, they are undergoing a face lift so it's a little chaotic right now until May 2017 when it's supposed to be finished. It was already a nicely laid out store so I can't wait to see what the finished product will look like. read more

I wanted to share about an encounter I had with a cashier named Addie. she was an older lady, who was extremely rude to me and my son. my 2 year old loves to help by handing groceries over to the cashier, he thinks he is helping. this is the highlight for him when grocery shopping with me. Every time, the cashiers always think he is very cute and always comment "how strong" he is. Addie however, was very rude. She yelled at him twice to stop. He was doing nothing wrong or harmful. She had a frown on her face and kept rolling her eyes at us. You can tell she hated her job. As busy as a store may be, people should take their time and give customer service. I'll be shopping at Trader Joes only now, where people are happy and actually like their job. read more

The car wash is touchless here! The employees are friendly and the air pumps are convenient if you need to pump up your inflatable toys for the lake. It's just annoying at night when there are random teenagers in the parking lot. read more

VERY VERY BAD! Customer service SUCKS! There is a distinct difference when you shop at this Raley's. Really bad service! Really bad attitude! It makes me feel like I am shopping at Winco except I am paying way more! I am upset because I usually go to this Raley's because it's on my way home but after a recent bad experience, I am going to go out of my way to avoid this store. What I am looking for: friendly customer service, a simple question when I check out, "Did you find everything you were looking for", and also it made me really upset yesterday when they wouldn't let me use my US passport as a form of ID to buy sherry and marsala wine to make chicken. Unbelievable! So maybe it's a store policy... whatever, but I left the store feeling very mistreated... also they have mean female cashier that yells at you, "PRESS THE DEBIT KEY" Just really bad experiences that makes me want to avoid Raley's all together...... I try to stick to Whole Foods and Nugget! read more

Ever since they flattened the organization at Headquarters, quality has suffered. Is there a correlation? I think I'm done buying salads, soups and other prepared food at Raley's Blue Ravine. Just a few weeks ago I purchased the prepared vegetable soup, got home, heated up and started eating only to pull a hair out of my mouth. I returned it and said that I didn't want my money back but rather have them learn from it. Today I purchased the seafood salad from the deli. I chose the one with the 3/16 expiration date which was in front of the two with yesterday's expiration date. When I poured the dressing it didn't look right so I tested a little on my finger and sure enough it's rancid. I'm still not going to ask for my money back but it's a shame that they're leaving expired food on the shelves. This is not the first time I've noticed. Definitely check the yogurts as well. read more

1. Sandwich counter VERY slow. Tried twice will not return. However, the end product was delicious. 2. Produce average and I've had to return items multiple times. 3. Customer Service Fantastic! 4. Everyone in Peets Coffee is friendly and efficient especially Kelly. 5. August (the pharmacist) in the Raley's Pharmacy always helpful and considerate. Customer service here is great - also a good selection of higher end and hard to find food items that typically Whole Foods or Nugget carries. A few constructive criticisms: 1) I'm not a big fan of the layout wish there was a middle aisle which would make navigating each aisle much quicker. 2) Some items are awkwardly placed. Example - some craft beers are seperated from the main beer aisle and are back with the milk and cheeses. Makes no sense. There's 3 separate cheese areas - 1) lunch slices 2) gourmet and 3) shredded cooking. Can we get them in the same area please? I find myself zig zagging all over the store. 3) Prices are higher than Safeway. Stop denying it, they are. Pros: 1) Love the sandwiches. 2) Customer service is always so friendly. 3) Great selection. read more

We just moved to EDH and I discovered this Raley's location just from my frequent drives onto Green Valley Rd. Although we are only a stone throw away from Safeway, I prefer to shop here because the ready-made items, i.e., deli section's potato salad, sandwiches, sushi, sizzling wok, etc. are so much better. However, when it comes to customer service, I sometimes feel that they are selective of whom they greet and speak to...just saying. read more

This Raley's is well stocked, organized, and clean. Prices aren't the best but the selection always is. Line waits are usually reasonably fast and the checkers are fast & efficient. Employees seem happier here and are more willing to help than in other places like Safeway or Whole Foods. This is my local grocery store so my family and I shop here often. The butchers are friendly and helpful. The store generally stocks what I need, though they are frequently randomly out of basil for whatever reason. The prices are probably not the lowest around but the quality of items is usually pretty good. The managers are almost uniformly terrible and rude. They scowl/glare constantly, barely acknowledge your existence, and are exceedingly gruff when you approach them for assistance. The other night when self checkout was glitching for the umpteenth time, I couldn't do anything to get the manager's help. When she finally did come over, she didn't say a word or listen to anything I was saying. On another occasion, I looked up to say hello to a different manager who decided to just keep his eyes on my cleavage. Class act. As for the rest of the staff, it's a mixed bag. Some are friendly and gregarious and others avoid eye contact and don't say a word. Most of the baggers are pretty friendly kids. Overall, the main staff is far friendlier than the managers. I've bought meat here that was supposedly good only to discover that it was rotting/very smelly well before its expiration date on at least 3 occasions. E-Cart can be convenient, but I'd avoid getting meat or produce through the service. They've repeatedly given us moldy tomatoes and other not exactly carefully selected items. So yeah it's a mixed bag, but it's a conveniently located and fairly reliable grocery store. read more

I'm pretty mid stream politically but this guy was too much. Oh, he's pushing a Newsome recall but his demeanor and representation says way more. People were simply turning around. I almost did. Horrible customer service in the meat department and with the managers. Went to get 5 lbs of boneless pork shoulder and requested it to be cut at 6:10 PM on a Wednesday. The young butcher proceeded to say he cannot help after 6 PM. Called and spoke with a female manager to ask what the policy was and explained how inconvenient this is for people that work all day, she put me on hold and never came back. I hate to say this but after 11 years shopping at this what used to be our wonderful neighborhood grocery store i can no longer shop here. My experience today was absolutely horrendous. Went in to simply buy hot dogs, ground beef and beer. I had 4 items and because they got rid of the 10 items or less line i had to wait almost 30 min to check out. They only had 3 registers working and everyone else was manning the self checkout. Because i had the beer i could not use the self check. I asked the manager if he could override the self checkout since the lines were so long and he said put back the beer and i can let you check out. The employees continue to be wonderful but the management decisions that have been made are detrimental to this store. I thought i was crazy but after talking to many of friends and family in the area they all feel the same, and actually most of the people I have talked to stopped shopping here a while ago. It is all really to bad. I now shop in El Dorado Hills at the Safeway on Green Valley and the experience is wonderful, and they have 3 lines for 10 items or less just in case you need to get in and out in a hurry. My issues at Raleys: - The Re Org was a mess and it still is - There always out of or low on inventory - No more Organics or i just cannot find them anymore - Prices have increased substantially - No more 10 items or less lines but more self check out lines - Only ever have 2 maybe 3 checkout lines going so you always have to wait longer. - And on top of everything now they have gotten rid of the rewards programs that benefit our local schools. read more

The change is not good. My former favorite store to get a FEW items. Now that a complete overhaul of shelving and layout has happened, I do not like this place at all. I shop at Winco for the majority of items, there are a few things that they do not have. Safeway is right up the street, and am finding that they have a better selection of meat and lower in price. read more

I live across the street. It's a nice store. Employees are nice. That's about it. Stopped in for the convenience, needed peanut butter. $7.99?????? For Jiff... we usually shop at Winco or Walmart, and the price is $4.80. Walked by the rotisserie chicken.... $14.99??????? Winco=$5.99, Walmart=$4.99 I had my Winco reciept from last week, $156. I went around and wrote down the Raley pricing. Most items were the same. Raleys price, $235.....that is a 30% difference. Can't justify the price difference. Maybe that is why Winco and Walmart are a lot more busy. For $70 savings, I will bag my groceries. read more

This is a great Raley's. It is clean, modern and very friendly. I am here at least twice a week. This review is about the freshly prepared food. I love their take n bake pizzas and they are all reasonably priced. The deviled eggs are addictive and I have been known to eat a whole tray on my own. The chinese food is not good unless you get there right when it is put out. Too much chance, I would stay away. The deli sandwiches are big and tasty and come on fresh baked bread and beat just about every chain out there. Today I tried a breakfast burrito. Mine came with chorizo, cheese, salsa, potato and egg and was delicious. Very generous with the chorizo and very fairly priced. read more

Best grocery store in Folsom! The staff is all very courteous and eager to help. They have a Peet's coffee to fuel my addition. The store has a self service salad bar and a HUGE natural foods section- staffed with a natural foods expert. This store truly has everything. read more

I'm a little disappointed. I purchased 2 fresh baked cookies for $1.39 each and they were stale. Everything else about this store is pretty good..clean, bright..lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Hot foods. I just won't be taking a chance on those cookies again. read more

The pharmacy has gone downhill here. I'm terrible at remembering refills so I signed up for "auto-fill", but sometimes they only do the auto-fill for the number of refills on the prescription and they don't fax your doctor when you're out. Sometimes even though you are signed up for auto-fill they don't fill the script, and I still have to request a refill every month. I also found it odd that you have to go into the store and fill out a form.. you can't do it online. read more

I find myself coming here pretty frequently! This place has those little extras that just spoil me and I find that I can't go to a place like Winco because 1) they don't have a cafe with Peet's coffee and 2) they don't have a Playcare(!) I LOVE that I can put my 4 year old into the playcare they offer and go get a coffee and casually do my shopping, knowing he's well taken care of and having a good time! Makes a huge difference with my shopping exp; turning something stressful into an actually laid back, enjoyable time! All of the staff here are super friendly--I find they are more friendly than the East Bidwell location. The people at the cafe even know my drink--I'm a little bit like Norm from Cheers over there(!) My only complaint is I wish the prices were lower--but, I justify it by reminding myself I am not paying for the hour or so of childcare and I will pay more for the conveinence factor and to get my coffee so no one gets hurt(!) read more

I usually go to this Raleys on my way home from work, and the customer service is always outstanding, especially in produce. I am a very healthy eater, so I am always trying out new fruits and vegetables and the employees who work there are always very gracious is helping me find what I am looking for. One employee, whose name I believe is Noah, is always especially helpful and always has an outstanding attitude. I look forward to continue shopping here and reccomend that others do as well! read more

I've been a Raley's shopper for over 25 years. Once they were a leader in store designs, customer service, and most importantly really good food. Today I shopped at the blue ravine store and was highly disappointed. The bakery department is very poorly stocked. It's a Saturday, warm day, grilling season, the store is right across the street from Folsom lake, yet not one Kaiser Roll, hamburger buns, hot dog buns, sub rolls, etc When I asked the manager she suggested I shop the retail bread isle! Then, out of stock of the cherry missle popscicles again! Wouldn't you consider maybe two rows of the obvious best seller? Plenty of Sunnyside brands getting freezer burned sitting on the shelf! Don't even get me started on the produce department! I've gotten rotten potatoes, wilty lettuce, too many disappointments to continue shopping here. Then I went to the Sprouts that just opened on East Bidwell. Now there is a chain that gets it. Beautiful bakery, meat department, and the produce outstanding! Sorry Raleys you're just not keeping up doing things the same old way! read more

I ONLY shop at Raley's because I love the customer service and the cleanliness. However, at this specific location they take your sandwich order all at once and then let you shop around while they make it. Normally this would be a great idea, but not when you're on your 30 min lunch break. They took 15 minutes to make my ONE sandwich. That's half my lunch break! There wasn't even a line or anyone ahead of me and the two women behind the counter proceeded to hug and chat in-between making my sandwich VERY SLOWLY. I'm disappointed with the lack of urgency when I'm standing right there. Very unprofessional. I wonder if Raley's has a policy on having them out in a timely matter? read more

I just wanted to take a moment and leave a review for Judy, who I most often see at the sub shop. She is as good as it gets! Every time she helps us she is so sweet and nice. Once we were there, she offered my boyfriend and I some dipping sauce to sample because we got the chicken strips and I have gotten addicted to one of them, now on my third bottle :) Thank you Judy for being so kind and sweet, I always hope to run into you while I am shopping! read more

This is a great grocery store with a neighborhood feel and a touch of class. They have friendly staff and a clean & organized store. The only down side; I had to wait for a little bit to check out, they could have had a few more lanes open at checkou, especially on a weekday after work. On a positive note- they have local wine! They have some of my favorite placerville wines at a great price (if you buy 6). They have a great meat department, I found some really great steaks. I am still getting use to where everything is located in the store but so far they have everything on my shopping list. Happy we have this as our local grocery store. read more
