Has anyone ever carefully looked at the multitude of beer and liquor promotions that are draped…read morearound ever liquor shop until they found their drink of choice or confirmed that their drink of choice was the right price? No one has ever said, "My favorite beer is one dollar more here! I'll take my business elsewhere." Maybe the store owners just use the promotions to block out what's on the inside. I've always had a slight fear of stores that blocked out their windows. Will it be a wonderful surprise or a trap? There's only one way to find out! I can't say that Lucky Liquor was a wonderful surprise, but it certainly wasn't a trap. As advertised, and posted on its promotions, there is beer and liquor, and I imagine smokes but those don't not interest me. The store layout is more function than form. No one is hanging out at Lucky Liquor. You're in and you're out. I imagine that's just what the owner wanted. We were fortunate enough to find a Sharkinator White IPA from Lost Coast Brewery at a great price. The cashier was nice. I'm not sure if I will make it back to Lucky Liquor but I did find a brewery to look for at the next grocery store.

The beer selection here is massive and I can often browse for quite some time! There have been many visits to Aloha where I have my hands too full and have to put a few items back! Everything just looks that good! If I had to ask for one thing it would be more single serve options like build your own 6 pack or small cans/boxes of wine. Always nice to grab when you're hitting the park or beach. This is a great spot to pick up something special. Lots of great choices to browse and you won't leave her disappointed!

I had to sign up for their loyalty program, which was a quick phone number text. Easy. And made for a great value. Workers were helpful and quick with locating what I wanted, even though they weren't familiar with it at all (asti). With the price of drinks out, I avoided that and got what I really wanted, and it was 6$. Win win. My buzz balls made for a nice sunset beach watch in my snuggle chair with my boyfriend. Couldn't ask for more than that! I failed to get a pic of my buzz balls, but I did take note of revision brewerys RenoAF line that BevMo carried. It gave me a good chuckle since I live there.

Battle Born is my choice in Gardnerville, with my favorite Carson City liquor store being Aloha. As it happened, this BevMo shares the parking lot with BlueZone Sports and this weekend's ski sale. I left with 2 nice microbrew 6-packs and maybe expecting a larger beer selection for what I like. The store was spacious, clean, and well stocked. PJ's has a great selection, and a convenient drive-through. And they have the best prices in town -- even if you do have to pay the surcharge for using plastic, you're still getting your liquor cheaper than you will anywhere else nearby, including the two other liquor stores that are within a few blocks. I don't give loyalty easily, but this store has earned it.
