I worked retail for a long time so I understand things happen. The following day I come in for appointment and they said the tires are here but the paper was send to Carson city... just waiting for the manager to override this so we can help you.... I waited 1 hour and still no help... the older man said the manager knows but it busy. I waited another 30 minutes and still no answer.... I looked for the manager in the store and found her! I reminded her that the nice older man was waiting for her approval and there a line in the tire center- She was rude! She said it's not her priority and she'll get there when she does.... I told her he's been waiting for awhile and I said thank you my appointment was over an hour ago .... She was rude Again and said move out of the costumer service line. No " I'm sorry and I will help" no please set out of the line and I will get to you soon". Nothing! Just rude, nasty , older big woman barking orders . Shame !!! This lady needs to learn to desolate herself and the situation. She needs training on customer service. In my opinion she's too old and grumpy to be working anyway. Back in the Bay Area, are choices were a combination of Safeway, Trader Joes, and Grocery Outlet. We're very familiar with the Carson City Trader Joes and we've yet to visit either of the 2 area Grocery Outlets. Gayle's Mom thought we should give this Smith's a try. We did, and for now, No. Our usual factors are selection, price, flow through the store (including shopping the perimeter) and check-out service. For the couple times we've been here, it's just OK and for now, not worth the drive. We all have our shopping quirks and right now our choice is the Carson Raley's.

This is a gas station my Dad (who owned one years ago) would like as the gas pump areas, convenient store, and bathrooms are all clean and well maintained. The Carson Valley Market is part of the greater Carson Valley Inn complex with the hotel/casino and RV Park all adjacent. That may explain why the convenience store has a much better selection than expected, maybe due to "built in" clientele. And their good service clearly follows from that.

Last night I accepted an offer for $21.00 worth of a Variety of refrigerated foods for $6.99. When I arrived the employee had several bags ready for TGTG orders. She handed me a bag with two 1-gallon jugs of milk and 1 leaking quart of milk marked with a 50% Clearance tag, all expiring the next morning 7/23/26. I explained it was impossible for my wife and I to drink over 2 gallons of milk by tomorrow and was told all the bags contained only milk. TGTG is designed to help business reduce food waste, but Whole Foods uses the app to offload expiring product on unsuspecting customers. A typical family cannot drink over 2 gallons in 24 hrs so Whole Foods forces the consumer to throw it away instead. I contacted TGTG explaining what I received and they concluded that I did not receive a "variety of refrigerated items" as promised, but instead a massive surplus of a single item and a damaged food item which is prohibited per their policies. TGTG issued a refund, but the important message is not to allow Whole Foods to push their waste on to you.

When they pulled out coins to pay which isnt bad in my mind. But once Marcus saw them get the coins out of the purse this man had the AUDACITY to say "I dont got all day". EXCUSE ME. You do not have the right to talk to young girls like that. Besides that food is great and overall a great cheep store besides the low customer service.
