We recently had a small engagement party for my son. I ordered 2 cakes from the Bakery and they were both delicious. One was a photo cake (chocolate/strawberry) and it was a perfect capture of the picture. The other was one of their standard carrot cakes. Thanks Bakery staff for making the day special! read more

I just want to shoutout to GLADYS!! My crew and I stopped here from California EVERY day for over a week, while on our way to work. And that's thanks to the employees being super friendly and always very helpful. However, the main reaon for this review is to thank our wonderful deli worker, Gladys!! She was amazing from the start, and the only place we shopped was that Raley's because of how great she was and how she outdid all expectations. She was kind, funny, and even when her back was hurting, she hung in there and got stuff done. I was only in and out of the store but walking through the store was exceptionally clean. The cashier was very friendly. The bakery had a decent selection for a last minute birthday celebration so that's my bad for coming so late. Opted for Bundt cakes that another customer said we're very good. The store met expectations. Bright and clean. Good selection. Seemed relatively safe. Unfortunately, they do not charge for grocery bags. That means they give away a lot of plastic bags which find themselves in our waterways. read more

Today I'm walking through the produce department when I see an attractive three-tiered rack with a sign on the top that says, "Fruit for the kids, under age 12 please." I was so surprised that I added a picture of it. I'd never seen this before, but what a great thing. You've got your kids at the store and their a bit hungry. In this store you'd be able to offer them a banana, a tangerine, or an apple, at no cost. It's a great idea, thank you Raley's. What more could you possible want from a grocery store. They will custom cut your rib-eye, they're making chips in the store (and I loved the salt), really good prices on wine when you buy six bottles, and they've got healthy choices for your kids while you attempt to shop. We'll continue to make this a part of our shopping trips. read more

Raleys I find always has the best produce. Unfortunately I've bought 2 coconuts here now and they were all rotten. I told the manager I thought they should just replace them all and he told me I just bought the wrong ones. ‍ 3 stars because the store is always clean, people are mostly helpful, and they have a great variety of ethnic stuff I can't find other places in gardnerville. read more

I have been shopping at this raleys for almost 10 years now And have neglected to share the positive experiences I consistently have with the staff and store. However, Daniel and Cody from their produce department outdid my expectations, that compelled me to yelp. I do not yelp much. First, this store roasts hatch chili's annually when they are in season, which, I think is is incredible in and of itself. However, this this year due to extraordinary smoke, they had to bring their roaster inside and quit roasting for the day. Unfortunately, my order, could not get completed. When I went in to pick it up, they felt bad They had to inform me they could not complete my order. I was so surprised when they went above and beyond my expectations to make things right. The exemplary service that Cody and Daniel exhibited Instilled confidence in me that this store truly cares about all of its customers. I continue to experience that same degree of service with all of the produce employees and most of the staff at Raleigh's. They must hire excellent employees to begin with and treat them well to retain them. I hope this review is helpful in people's selection of grocery stores. read more

Raleys has good perks, coupon mailers with $money off the groceries,to points on the Extra card,.The Deli Sandwich Bar has absolutely delicious Sandwiches made up as you wait. My favorite sandwich is the Chicken Salad with grapes,lite mayo, romaine lettuce, White American cheese, on French Bread. By the time I get in line ready to pay, my adrenaline is ready for food action. All good shopping experience. Fresh produce, Fresh bakery, Fresh meats & seafood. Great Cashier's & Baggers. I have been purchasing the Gallo Italian dry salami from Raleys for the last five years. I have payed $6.99 to $9.99 for a 1.15lb. roll.. I went in to pick up another roll and the price was $10.00, OK. A small sign above the price read "Original Price $12.49 Save $2.49"... I never have paid $12.49 for Raleys salami so who do you think your fooling? Scams are not just robots calls on your phone anymore! I won't shop at Raley again... read more

Many thanks to the Raley's clerk who helped me find that box of grits. Some grocery stores put that item in baking and some near Cream of Wheat in the Cereal section. I'm sure this is not an issue in the South, but up here, Gayle makes a mean (and relatively healthy) shrimp and grits. It's always nice to walk into a supermarket where the service matches the ambiance of a really nice place to shop. My Son and I were here to buy some supplemental food items for family Easter, and also ordered sandwiches for Lunch at the Deli Counter. Nice service here too and at checkout. read more

I have been going to Raleys for almost two years now, my father started me going there, because he was disabled, and they always helped him alot. I have found that the customer service is excellent at this store, anything they can do for you, they will do it. Also, you don't have to unload your own cart, or bag it, or take it out to your car, they do it all for you. Also, they have a rewards card where they return money to you every 3 months, depending on how much you spend. Their meat is excellent, I don't buy mine anywhere else, its the freshest and best testing. Their produce and deli are also excellent. If you haven't tried Raleys, I highly recommend you do. read more

We stopped into the bakery in this store and ordered a birthday cake for our grandsons. Alicia served us and we were very pleased with her knowledge and friendliness. She was very thoughtful and want us to have the exact cake and decorations for our grandsons. We are from out of town and now would stop there everytime we are in town. Honestly about 6 hours later we were still thinking about how nice Alicia was and the great experience we had with her. The last two years I have had a prepared holiday meal from Raley's. Last year,turkey,this year prime year. Both years I have the same complaint. The green vegetables are inedible. The green beans were to tough and stringy to eat and this year the "baby" broccoli was awful. Raley's needs to figure out what baby broccoli is or don't advertise it as such. Broccoli that is the second picking after the first bunches have been harvested is NOT baby broccoli. read more

I usually like Raley's but this one isn't one I'll ever go back to. We arrived about 10 a.m. and wanted a coffee from their Pete's Coffee and something for breakfast. First off Raley's has one of the most complicated shopper card programs I have ever dealt with. Kroger, Safeway and most stores offer the shopper card if you ask and you can use your phone number if you forget the card. Raley's requires you to sign up online and wait for snail mail to receive the card. I had done this and had my card with me. The cashier watched me with my shopper card in hand after I gave her the $5.60 for the coffee and then refused to wait for me to slide the card. When I told her I needed my points she said there was no way to do it. I asked to see the manager who after about 10 minutes came back. He was a bit strange too but was able to fix the problem and award the points. The cashier wasn't truthful with me and frankly lazy in the way she handled the transaction. The other thing is after all this the coffee was terrible. It wasn't made right (I have had Pete's Coffee before many times) and was watery. YUCK! read more

This Raleys in Gardnerville, NV is the BEST grocery store in the area!! Especially during this pandemic they have behaved in an extremely clean, classy manner. They have everything set up so nicely and NOT ONCE have I ever ran into another customer that has ran into me with their cart or grabbed something out of my hand, unlike some of the competitors in the immediate area!! Full of Californians from Tahoe on my visit over the holidays. Friendly and knowledgable staff from the workers in the aisles to the checkstaff. Crowded inside and a crowded parking lot. Prices are about the same as any other market in town. Overall, besides the soccer moms in down vests it wasn't too bad. read more

This is my go to store. Yes the prices are more than the competitors in town. The advantage is I know the store is clean, shelves are stocked and if there ever is a problem, Mike the manager is willing to work with you. He is easy to talk to and available. I really love this Raleys! I especially love Jen in the bakery. I moved back after being gone for 10 years and I'm so pleased to see she still works there. She makes me laugh everytime, shes always singing and dancing her way through work. My kids love her too and the free cookies, we make sure to always swing by and say hi to her, she makes our day. The vibe is just wonderful. In fact, so many of the same employees work there that have been there since I was a kid. I love that feeling. This is a great store with awesome employees. read more

I have shopped Ralph's/Smith's for years. Recently, though, my Smith's stopped accepting Visa charge cards so I decided to try Raleys. Mistake. I am also a coupon person and according to the Raleys cashier, they don't take manufacturers coupons. I considered letting them keep those items I had coupons for, but decided to just suck it up. But, lesson learned, back to Smith's and their lower prices, sans the Visa. read more

Well, it would be five stars particularly for the meat departments help with special requests like grinding chuck roasts for a BBQ but twice now on visits when items have come up at a much higher price than the shelf price the clerks have not offered to send someone to check or to honor the price listed on the signage or even simply say sorry. Raley's has always had a reputation for satisfied customers and slightly higher regular prices and great sale prices. Why go downhill now on customer service? Last time I had a problem I was shopping the next day and the same wrong, not honored shelf price was still on the shelf. Works for Raley's I guess but it doesn't work for me. Still like the store. This review is for their take and bake pizzas. They are awesome! You get to pick your own toppers, and all have been fabulous. We have tried the traditional pizza, as well as a thin-crust wheat pizza with pesto sauce instead of marinara. That thin crust is yummy....try the margherita topper with this one. Found out today that they have a garlic sauce as well, so we will be trying that next. Price is excellent, and the topper is free with the pizza. read more

Love this Raley's. Wish, tho, they could move the store to the intersection of Hwy. 88 & 395, on the empty lot. We, in Minden, drive to Gardnerville for grocery shopping. Three other opportunities are near Raley's. Sometimes I waiver, but stop for all my natural foods from Raley's. The selection is fresh, not like the expired dates found at the valley's Trader Joe's.
