We've always loved this Raley's and shop here regularly... it's been our go-to for a long time. The store is clean, the selection is great, and the staff has always been friendly. That said, recently there's been a noticeable change that feels off... there's now a security guard stationed at the store, and while I completely understood it during the Rodeo when things were busier, it's still continuing... and no one seems willing to explain why. When I asked employees, they said they've been instructed not to say anything, which honestly doesn't sit right. This is a tight-knit community, and transparency matters... having a security presence without any communication makes the environment feel uncomfortable and a little unsettling, especially in a neighborhood store we've always felt at ease in. Is there new management? Is something going on customers should be aware of? It would go a long way if there was just some honesty or communication around the change. We still love this store and will continue to shop here... but I really hope management considers being more open with the community. read more

raleys has really stepped up their customer service standards. We were in there last night being super silly, laughing and having a really good time, the customer service manager was very jovial. He joined right in the fun match the mood and thanked us several times for coming in the prices again have also gotten much better. read more

My wife and I went in to purchase some chicken wings, and after two bites, I see that what I bit into is RAW chicken. Normally, this can be chalked up as an 'honest mistaken' on the part of the employees at Raley's. But people like me, who have allergic reactions when swallowing RAW food, should be taken into consideration when service food to the public (though I personally think the health and wellbeing of everyone should be taken into consideration when serving food). I'm writing this as I sit here waiting for the doctor to come back at the urgent care. I LITERALLY HAVE HIVES on my arms, not to mention the asthma attack that was triggered because of that raw piece of meat. I'll spare the horrific optics and not post the pictures I took of my arms just now. If cooked food isn't going to be inspected, or even cooked thoroughly for that matter, this place needs to close down or stop serving food altogether. If this happened to me, god only knows what else is going on in that kitchen. After spending Appx 500 dollars a week in Raleys Oakdale my granddaughter picked up the free fruit they put out for kids. The fruit is on its last legs and will probably be thrown away at the end of the day. Instead saying thanks for shopping at Raleys we got a warning that kids are only allowed one free piece of fruit from a Raleys employee. Thats fair and reasonable but we won't be going back. Most Raleys employees are fantastic and hats off to them. There are plenty of stores that want our business. read more

I have been a member of Raley's for eight years. I spend about $3000 a month there. The past couple of months, I have noticed that the lines are at least least eight customers deep with only one checkout stand open. This has occurred over the past couple of months, and I couldn't figure out what was going on. In the past, I would be able to go and do my shopping and get out quite quickly. Apparently, new management has changed this. They will not open a second stand unless eight people are in line. This is absolutely ridiculous!! Not only is it not fair for the customers, it is not fair for the employees. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I've been shopping at Oakdale's Raley's since it opened, and today was the first time ever that I've asked for help from customer service inside the store. All of membership info was outdated, and I was having a terrible time trying to update it on the internet or over the phone. I asked the employee at customer service if she could help, and she took care of it right then. Completely unprofessional, person at the register was rude, and lied to me saying I couldn't sign up for the raleys club in store. Which ended up costing me over $30 extra. This was extremely disappointing, considering I just moved to oakdale, and the is store is down the street from me. when I called I was told that was incorrect and I could. So I was pretty upset and wanted to know if they could do anything about it. The person on the Phone blamed corporate, which I corrected her and told her that it's not corporate who lied to me and who basically made me pay more money. She then began speaking rudely, as if I had just done something. Worst experience in a grocery store ever will never go back. Also will be contacting corporate with the names of every unprofessional employee I dealt with. read more

Had a pit stop here while coming back from Yosemite. The store was kept very clean and they followed all the covid-19 practices. We picked up 2 donuts and they were nicely packed in plastic to-go boxes. This ensured all the food items are well protected and doesn't come in contact with bare hands. Staff was nicely and very courteous. The lady at the cash counter was wearing a mask. There was a plastic shield between the customer and staff. The store was empty when we visited so got out pretty quickly after making the payment. read more

I absolutely love this Raley's !! Employees are very friendly and extremely helpful . They have such a wonderful deli . Sandwiches are bomb!!Their meat department is fantastic!! I went today for groceries and could not find something and a couple employees went out of their way to find for me. Business is always clean and well stocked. Their produce department is awesome! Seriously the produce here is so good. So fresh. Love!! My only gripe is they do not have a great wine selection!! Boo.. I always end up having to go across the street to Savemart for wine . I called and spoke to the cake decorator and told her I needed a cake for a watermelon themed party . I didn't know what she would come up with but assumed she would use watermelon colors but nothing as detailed as this . I ordered a 12" sandwich from the deli. The sign says 6.99 for a 6" sandwich. 11.99 for a 12". I ordered a 12" dagwood and was charged 13.99 for one sandwich. The tag on the sandwich says custom sandwich. It was not a custom sandwich. I would have ordered two 6" sandwiches if there was no deal on a 12" menu item. Signage needs to be much clearer. DO NOT USE THE ECART SERVICE! I placed and Ecart order and the teenagers they have working in that department fully charged (NOT pending) me twice for my order, I have bank statements to prove it. I have gone back into the store multiple times and keep getting told the managers "can't do anything" because it was an online order. The multiple employees I've talked to claim to have called corporate to issue me a refund but I haven't seen anything. read more

This store is part of the outstanding Raley chain. Whether going east to the Sierras, or west from the Sierras, it is a perfect stop for rest and to buy supplies. It even offers wifi! Unlike Farmer's Markets along Hwy. 120, this store is air-conditioned and across the street from an economy Arco gasoline station. I live near another Raley store and have rated that store as five star, and this store matches the quality of the other store. There is ample selection; for example, I was on the phone with my wife in the car for three minutes discussing all the varieties of hot dogs on the shelf in this store. It is perfect eastbound heading to the Sierras or westbound coming down into the flatlands since there is a traffic signal at Maag Avenue which makes it easy and safe to turn in and to turn out from the parking lot. There is even a considerable, but not guaranteed, number of shady parking spaces. Near the west entrance, there is a dispensary for Peet's (brand) coffee including iced coffee (it does get hot in Oakdale). There is also a deli. Importantly, there are a group of air-conditioned seats near the deli and the door. We bought iced coffee, chow mein, and a rice bowl while we sent our airplane mode cell phone back into wifi and rested from a tiring drive back down from the higher Sierras. They are even, of course in the Cowboy Capital of the World, passing out copies of West Coast Horsemen magazine for your enlightenment. We left the magazine behind for the local horse owners. My wife got all of her purchases, which included some extra groceries, on her Something Extra Raley's loyalty program even 100 miles from home. There is a rest room, which could get crowded, but it least the walls are ceramic and presumably graffiti resistant. read more

I usually stop by this Raley's on my way to and from Yosemite. It's located in a center that has a decent taqueria next door and also a gas station. This Raley's is nicely stocked with anything you could need from a grocery store and what I love most is that most times I've been here, there are virtually no lines! And there's self check out and the bathrooms are clean! A great and convenient place to grab last minute groceries for a camping trip. read more

I have shopped Raley's since they opened a store in Oroville in 1989 and then continued when I moved to Red Bluff area and DID every since I moved to Oakdale 2012 . However after my experience yesterday NO MORE. On Monday I ordered a Birthday Cake for yesterday (Wednesday) to pick up at one got there NO CAKE. I was taking it to a VA care home for my Husband They finally put a cake together for me which meant I was over an hour late getting to the home and my husband who turned 96 was tired of waiting and wanted to go take a nap. I go here to use their clean bathroom. I've also bought a few things from here also. Please note: stay away from their store brand bagels. They're dry, crumbly, and bland. Stick with the brand name ones. Sorry! But your pizza bagel caught my eyes but it is so hard to swallow. I also love their free magazine by the front entrance.
