They were super busy today but so worth it. Had raviolis and added meatballs and that was delicious and the toast that comes with it......so good!! Wife had her usual, Leo Pastrami sandwich with a house salad and 'em side of pickles. The salad dressing are fantastic here and that sandwich always hit. Service was excellent even though they were slammed with customers. Worth the drive from Modesto and oh yeah their ice is the best.

Their sandwiches are the best. You can never go wrong with a roast beef Leo Camarillo. I try to make a stop every time I am back in town, I crave it!

As always, the food is tremendous! Sandwiches are tasty, the bread is fresh and awesome, and the side salads are very good. Can't be in a hurry however, it took us about 45 minutes to get our sandwiches.

Honestly, the sandwiches here are delicious. I've been here so many times and I'm never disappointed with the food. It is unfortunate they close relatively early and that you're almost guaranteed to wait a long time for your order but the food is worth it.

Seriously I just had the best sandwich ever here!! The sourdough roll was bomb: warm, soft & delicious. I will definitely be back to try a different one, they all looked delicious. Service was good even during the busy lunchtime. Warm, fun, old Italian vibe restaurant

They never answer their phone, so we continually give up! Just don't think it's worth the frustration.

Amazing food. It's so good that it's not out of the ordinary for there to be no available tables or chairs to sit at.

For context, I often find myself driving between San Francisco and Fresno. On one articular trip,…read moreI was craving prime rib (which happens every two weeks or so). I asked my favorite llm where I should stop by for prime rib going from Fresno to SF. It at first suggested I make a bee like for house of prime rib in sf, which I like but have been to many times. It then suggested house of beef and I'm so glad it did (cattleman's in Livermore was also a 3rd choice but I've been there several times too). Thankfully it was Fri eve and they had prime rib. I like mine rare and it was perfectly cooked, very marbled, huge, well seasoned and delicious. I pared it wth au jus and mashed with gravy. Then, what reminded me to write this review, was the tri tip from the meat counter and took to go. They were nice enough to pack it in ice for my 2 hour drive. I just cooked it on my grill in the rain and this is seriously one of the best tri tips I've ever grilled up. The meat tenderness/marbling/quality is on par with any prime grade/American wagyu I've bought and the seasoning is just super on point. Looking forward to smoking the baby back ribs I picked up as well in the next couple of days but I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Seems like other reviews had issue with service but the staff were exceptionally attentive when I was there. Seriously the only thing that wasn't top notch about my experience was the cocktails(mine was totally fine but I'm a bit spoiled when I'm in SF) but for my purposes passing through I just wanted the prime rib and meats to go to be delicious and house of beef certainly lived up to its name!

Service is fast and attentive, staff is apologetic about the wait, but the waiting time was not too late or rushed. Our server 10/10 service, even gave us extra bread to take home. Salad and soup bar were excellent and everything tasted fresh. We loved the tomato soup, but didn't like the french onion dip soup. The bread was amazing, and even tasted great as reheated leftovers. The prime rib and ribeye steak were cooked perfectly to our order, but couldnt finish eating dud to being full from the unlimited bread, salad and soup bar. Garlic fries were amazing and crispy, even after reheated for leftovers. Only a few things I didn't like was when we went to get our soup and salad, they cleared the whole table. I was warming up the butter in my hands for the bread to spread on faster, but they took it away like trash when we went to grab our salad and soups. They resetted the paper towel rolls to the side of the table when we moved it to the center, and they almost took away my husband's alcoholic drink, and then realized we were still dining. The lighting was definitely way too dark. I could see elderly people slipping if there was were liquids or food filled on the floor. The space is interestingly very small for a steak restaurant, but they seem to make everything flow well. Definitely would come again, enjoy the soup and salad bar, and then maybe share a steak instead of ordering two.

SHELLEY SAVES THE DAY! When we arrived for Mother's Day, we…read morewere initially treated rather rudely by a young gentleman named Matt, who told us we did not have a reservation when we know we did. We had to regroup and were headed to another place when we got a call back from The Fruityard stating that they had our reservation down under a different name because it was written down wrong and could not be deciphered. Matt was very rude to us at the beginning when we checked in a very condescending tone. He should definitely not be THR person who greets guests when they check in as his demeanor is deplorable! What saved the day for us was our server, Shelley, whose constant attention and sense of humor were fantastic! Her menu suggestions were all spot on, our water glasses never got under half full and she brought smiles to all of our faces. We all enjoyed our menu choices, and the salad bar was fantastic as always!

My husband and I were seated all the way in the back by an exit door when other tables were available. The decor and look of this place is old and not in a charming diner sort of way. It does not feel clean. The little pond out front needs fresh water, little water covered in algae in there currently. The food was bad. We both order tri tip sandwiches and the meat was chewy and dry. The fries were ok. Even my iced tea was overly sweet. Next time I am in Modesto, I will try a different restaurant.

I maybe due to being from Mississippi on my review so please don't @ me lol:…read more After my coworker had been raving about Oakdale's Huckleberry's, I reluctantly gave it a try. Absolutely love the NOLA ambiance. Would've great to have some more jazz to the music or something. But overall, really cute "bayou" eatery. It was so hard to choose from the menu, but I was craving some French toast. Everything was amazing including the over medium eggs and crispy bacon were cooked just right! The beignets are not deep southern/ Café du Monde, however, I approve of them as they came hot and ready with a handful of sauces. Highly recommended asking for more powdered sugar if you know what I mean. Them thangs needs to be sugared up! And they're huge! I could only eat one before I could eat my main item! They do to-go with the beignets as well! If you sign up on their website, you can get free beignets! Just show the email! Swamp Tea! It's very raspberry-tea like. My coworker said they make their drinks "super sweet". I've head sweeter- but not to knock on that Swamp Tea- it was delicious and served in a wide-mouth jar! HUGE! So delicious. There is I believe boba on the bottom which I hadn't noticed until I was pouring it in the to-go cup! I'll be back! I hadn't realized there were more than just one location and if I'd know there was a few in Fresno/Clovis, I would've been had it! I feel they def need to play the "Princess and the Frog" soundtrack. Ain't no other way, yall. But that stop my five star review for the folks that can make me feel like I'm home.
