Went to the deli here at Raleys in Oroville California. Let me tell you these people know how to make a mean sandwich loaded with meat cheese. The bread was fantastic.. For us, we just needed a quick lunch for a day at the lake but let me tell you this was under promise over delivered. I was impressed - really. No pics for this journey as it was just a deli sandwich, but let me tell you the sandwich was loaded up and all for just$9.00! My wife and I cut it in half and it was enough to fill us both. We ate at 12 noon and ow it's 7:19 as I write this post and we're just starting to get hungry. I highly recommend this deli! read more

Visited May 21 2026. See my receipt. After I go to Petco next door I stop in here at the Oroville location. Still obsessed with their San Francisco pizzas in the deli aisle. The cornmeal crust is amazing! Of course since it's nearing Memorial Day I also bought Bullett whiskey ( not sure if I spelled it correctly) to bring to a Memorial Day event and as a gift to my friend! Good selection of produce. This isn't my first Raley's store. I've been to others. I don't live in Oroville, however I do like coming here when I am in this town. It's a moderately-sized store. It has all the necessities for a successful shopping trip. I really like their bakery and deli sections because they have a bunch of delectable desserts and appetizing savory foods. It's clean and bright inside. I find it fun exploring the store. Service is on par with other Raley's stores I have shopped at. read more

Today. June 06, 2025 around 9:40-9:50 am. I love raley bakery. But today I am so gross out due to a customer touching the bagel with bare hand. It would be great if there was a huge sign at the stand or glass windows to let customers know to used the " clean sheet/ tongs" before picking up the purchases of bagels and donuts. read more

Zero issues with the staff they have uniformly been very nice people and I've dealt with probably 10 different people there all of them very nice the store is relatively clean well stocked it's actually the food and I'm not sure if this is down to raley's or just the suppliers. I recently moved up to this area and have been shopping at the store now for almost a year and I've never experienced more food that I've just had to throw away than I have from this store whether it's fruit or potatoes or vegetables even a box of triscuits which were stale. The list goes on I can't even believe I'm writing this review I don't really write reviews I've probably written 10 yelps in my entire life and I'm not young. It almost feels like this store gets supplied with a lower quality of overall food which is just bananas obviously but it really feels like it and it makes no sense because we are in the cradle of food production of practically the entire world we're near the capital of the city that controls the entire Central Valley - how do we have bad food? And why does so much of it come from other countries maybe it's a seasonal thing anyway it just feels like all the really good food is going somewhere else I don't know if it's going down a hole to aliens or what lol I know I'm just kidding but not really it's just - the food here sucks, it just sucks. read more

I don't know how Raley's does it but they are consistently strong at overpricing items. Consider their wine prices: at least a third higher cost than ANYWHERE else unless you buy six bottles or more and then the price comes down. Another example is a bag of pretzels that were marked on sale for more than $7 when the week before that were not on sale for around $5...huh? Also, they now have 3 different pricing tiers - the regular price, the Raley's member sale price and now some kind of clip and save price that requires you to clip coupons on their app - it's all so confusing and frustrating. Raleys has some really nice employees and I feel bad that they probably have to deal with customers that are frustrated by the higher costs for the same products you could by elsewhere. I don't know why I keep coming back but I suspect that it's because they are the closest grocery store to my house. read more

I've been getting sandwiches from the Deli for years and they were always good but I can't say that anymore. I just had the worst tuna sandwich ever! The tuna layer was thinner than the slice of cheese. The tuna was terrible, tasted old. What a disappointment! The tuna sandwich there used to be my favorite. read more

Easily one of if not the slowest delis I have ever been to. if there is more than one person in line in front of you you're better off buying a frozen chicken, thawing it out, cut it up. Go to Walmart, buy a deep fryer and cooking the chicken faster than you can get three chicken strips from the deli. I've tried all hours of the day and it's always the same. rest of the store is pretty fair and organized. usually only two registers open, forget just stopping there for a quick stop as I usually get to bags of groceries and it takes several moon cycles to get out of there. limited options in Oroville therefore it gets a 2 read more

Thank you for contacting me and making it right I ordered my twins first birthday cakes 2 weeks in advance i was soo exited to show my husband when i got home and the pictures show what we got. The store had my sign a paper to say they were ok but never opened it to show me because the box was sealed. The icing just fell off both cakes. I have only been to Raley's twice and they seemed to be more of a pricey high end grocery store so I assumed there products would be top quality. Be CAREFUL, I bought the Raley's brand corn tortillas and saw they use GMO corn, labeled as a "bioengineered ingredient". Horrible. Read the labels closely before purchasing!! read more

Where do I start ? Raleys of Oroville is like the who's who's of Oroville shopping experiences. If you want to be seen with a $500 cart full of nothing, this is your place. If you want to parade around the parking lot in your new lifted F250 with street tires, this is your place. If you think that you are small town self proclaimed royalty, this is your place. If you are a wanna be Oroville socialite, this is your place. If you are a late 30s single woman with 3 kids from 2 failed marriages and are looking to hook up with anyone from your old highschool class, this is your place. If you love snobbery with a small town mentality, this is your place. If you can see past most of this social dilemma, the Raleys of Oroville is not too bad. It's clean, staff is friendly, prices are a bit high for just a tile floor, should be a marble floor to bring out the real perceived value they are pushing. read more

This is not the first time I've been disappointed in the deli section specifically the person making the sandwhich.. typically the sandwiches there are really good.. I'd rather go to Raleys then subway any day,but the last few times that I have gone in and had a sandwich made for me it's not been the best.. I'm a huge fan of the El Dorado it has chicken breast so they shred the meat by hand and put it on the sandwich, well there was a time where they weren't too thorough and they left what looked like the "wish bone" in my sandwich lol. Ordered flowers for Mother's day and was hoping they turned out good. Nope, completely the opposite. They called and asked for color, price range and when to pick up. They didn't ask if there were certain flowers that I wanted. The lady on the phone seemed rushed and ask if I could wait, I politely said "Take your time." So that when she can get to me, we can discuss the things I had wanted in it. She seemed rushed and asked if those questions then quickly hung up. The whole order seemed. I would've waited in fact if she told me to call later I would've. I received $60 flowers that looks like $25 flowers. read more

I never had a 2 bad experiences at the same time in the same place, I would like to think, for my peace of mind, that the employees were tired, but I was too after a 12 hour shift, so no excuses for the attitude, my partner and I were looking for something to eat, when I asked if they already closed the kitchen, after a disgusted look at me she said yeah in a rude tone, my partner was targeted by that look as well from afar and didn't even had an interaction with this person in the counter, just turned around to locate me and found the rude look of that lady behind the counter. I walked away feeling uncomfortable, we just grabbed a pre packaged meal and were ready to pay in self checkout, once there, we noticed an elder man greeting every costumer but us, he drastically changed expressions when he saw us, once we finished our transaction he didn't say a thing but look at us with that same disgusted look from the previous employee. At the door was the cheerful security man, he saved the night. Definitely we left the store really uncomfortable and feeling confused, thinking of why and what just happened. This experience discourages me to go back again or even recommend this place. read more

You can never truly appreciate good customer service until you've experienced the other end of it. Such is the case at this Raley's. I try to frequent this Raley's as little as I possibly can because of that, but the convenience of the location is why I even go here. There are a select few pretty awful employees that make for a truly terrible shopping experience, those that go here likely know to who I am referring to. In regards to other aspects of the store, prices are inflated egregiously and there is a major fly problem in the Deli section. If you're not concerned about the convenience of the location, there are much better supermarkets in the area to shop at sans the frustration. read more

My family shops about once a week at this Raley's. I have had unpleasant experiences with cashiers here in the past, but last week something happened that was too much to ignore. One of the cashiers was wearing a mask with a statement printed on it that said something along the lines of "forced to wear this out of fear." I have lost two family members due to Covid-19. It is both upsetting and exhausting to see an employee mock a very serious pandemic. Please do better. read more

Raleys is the most impressive grocery store. By far the greatest customer service I have ever experienced and everyone is so friendly and really care about their customers. The courtesy clerk named Matthew is out of this world in the most awesome way. He is the dream! And so caring, helpful, and is the nicest person I have ever met. My sister who stays in Los Altos ordered me a cake for my birthday (the first picture) and I got a cake that was completely different from what was ordered (the second picture) upon arriving at the bakery we were told that our order couldn't be found. We waited for about an hour before the cake was given to us. I sent a picture of the cake to my sister and she told me that wasn't what she ordered. So I called for a replacement cake and they don't do replacements and they said they needed the card it was ordered from to get a refund. The cake seemed to have a thumbprint on the top of it. I posted to my Facebook the two photos I didn't complain on there I was just laughing about it. One of the bakery employees cyndi commented on my post and argued with my friends and family and I that the cake was an outdated picture and that it wasn't their faults but it was corporates fault. I told her the bakery department could have at least given a notice that the cake was no longer available and we could've chosen a different one instead of taking an hour to throw together whatever they wanted to give us. On the phone I talked to 4 different people before I was informed that there was nothing they could do about it without my sisters credit card. Won't be ordering cakes for special occasions from here ever again. read more

I absolutely love this store!! They always have everything I'm looking for and their rewards points really pay off!! They also BBQ outside, I haven't tried that part yet but it smells sooo good!!! I want to mention that I buy ground beef there as well as all my other meats and groceries and I have never found brown meat, unless it has a sale and use by today label on it!!! This store was wonderful once upon a time. The music is horrendous. It's loud and aggressive sounding. The entrance/exit is hard to navigate. It's extremely difficult for people with limited mobility, elderly and people with young children. Sometimes there aren't any carts available. There aren't any baskets for customers needing a few items. The store doesn't observe the Ban on Single Use Bags--they give out bags galore. There aren't helpers for the cashiers with bagging. Basically, it's not a pleasant experience Any longer. The store needs better management! read more

Interesting trip to Raley's, our first time there picking up some things before driving back up the mountain. Prices were kind of high, but what can you do. Here is the issue: So my husband and I were waiting in line, 9:30 pm, one check out stand open. This lady who we are pretty sure was an employee being that she was counting money behind a register, that just got off of work was blabbing to the cashier about personal stuff while his line was getting bigger, you could tell he wished she would shut up and leave. So as we move closer, this woman goes to my husband with a bag of flour and says, "ppppst, can you add this to your stuff here's 3 dollars to pay for it I'm impatient I don't want to wait so you can just do this for me heres my money" and basically demanding we do that for her. No biggie- we are pretty laid back so we take the flour and cash and add it to our things. She then continues to give the cashier shit about hurrying up and she wants to go home, pretty much harassment. He asks us if we wanted bags, we tried to see if we could just run the baskets to our car and unload the stuff, bring the baskets right back, but he said store policy doesn't allow that--that's fine! We can buy some paper bags. This woman again gets involved in our decision because she is in such a hurry to get home, "I'll pay for your bag I'll bag it" very rough, rude, and continued to rush this poor cashier! Talking shit to him. You can see he is very uncomfortable and just trying to get the line out. Finally my husband decided he did not want to reward her shitty behavior and told her to get in line and wait to purchase her own damn flour and she was so mad, "I bagged your stuff for free I bought your bag I did this I did that wah wah wah" (we paid with our card and were waiting on a separate transaction with the flour, so bags were on our card hunny). Anyway the issue is, this was an EMPLOYEE who JUST got off of work and was distracting and harassing customers and her co-worker. I wish so badly that I got names but we did not. So this was a Monday night and the cashier was male he was soft spoken and nice. The woman was rude, and made our experience unpleasant. I hope I've provided enough information about this, and that something can be done about this rude employee. read more

We've been using Raley's online shopping with pickup service since the pandemic began. In the period of 10 months, with this shopping option, the service has improved 10 fold. I realized from the very start, we were all reinventing our habits. Raley's personal shoppers rose to the occasion. My husband and I are so pleased with the quality of choices that are being made on our behalf. I really enjoy this Raileys. I love the deli staff. The store is clean. The meat and produce departments are beyond pristine. Down sides, that grumpy old man who usually works the self check out. Jeez, smile and be nice life is too short Charlie.. What's up with that torturous parking lot?? Find an engineer and repaint those lines.. Everything's going in all sorts going wrong ways. If you drive in closest the west main entrance, you're going the wrong way to park. Still a beautiful store. The smell of freshness is overwhelming when you enter. Four stars. read more

I'm not one to normally write reviews (especially about grocery stores) but as someone who has worked and continues to work in retail and customer service, I feel like what I witnessed tonight at the Raley's in Oroville needs to be addressed. Around 7:30 this evening, my sister and I were standing in line at the self checkout and a line began forming because two of the checkout stands are currently out of service. The woman behind me (who was very kind about it) asked the young man (maybe early 20's - around my age for reference) who was standing at the self checkout stand if he was able to ring up customers. His response was, "I can...but wait." Listen, I get it, sometimes you're busy with something behind the scenes that the customers might not understand or see but the way that he responded to that customer was rude and unnecessary. The woman just nervously laughed and gave a few people in line an awkward smile. A few customers behind us muttered about the customer service but that was it. That's just not how you speak to your customers, no matter how busy you are. Maybe I'm just being over dramatic but I felt something needed to be said and some form of upper management needed to know the sort of customer service that some employees are giving. It didn't happen directly to me but I can say that if it comes between Raley's and a competitor, because of what I witnessed tonight, I'll go to the competitor.
