I am thankful that Raleys has a great selection of organic food. I find their veggies and fruits to be less money than that Spend & Spend heath food store in Chico. They also will carry some cool items, though you will have to pay buccu bucks for them. Last Friday I picked up some Icelandic yogurt made from grassfed pastured cow's milk. It was wonderful, but 5.99: ouch. I did though use about half of it as a mother culture for homemade raw milk yogurt. It came out great! My main gripe with the store is the deli section. Why do they not have more people on staff since there is always a long line? Time is money, and money is time...and I do not have patience to wait, so I leave. I imagine they loose a lot of revenue from would be customers that simply do not have the time to wait! Oh well....I still keep it at 4 stars because of the Organic produce and organic Chicken. read more

I'm not one to normally write reviews (especially about grocery stores) but as someone who has worked and continues to work in retail and customer service, I feel like what I witnessed tonight at the Raley's in Oroville needs to be addressed. Around 7:30 this evening, my sister and I were standing in line at the self checkout and a line began forming because two of the checkout stands are currently out of service. The woman behind me (who was very kind about it) asked the young man (maybe early 20's - around my age for reference) who was standing at the self checkout stand if he was able to ring up customers. His response was, "I can...but wait." Listen, I get it, sometimes you're busy with something behind the scenes that the customers might not understand or see but the way that he responded to that customer was rude and unnecessary. The woman just nervously laughed and gave a few people in line an awkward smile. A few customers behind us muttered about the customer service but that was it. That's just not how you speak to your customers, no matter how busy you are. Maybe I'm just being over dramatic but I felt something needed to be said and some form of upper management needed to know the sort of customer service that some employees are giving. It didn't happen directly to me but I can say that if it comes between Raley's and a competitor, because of what I witnessed tonight, I'll go to the competitor. As a company, I do hope you're able to boost your customer service because it's a nice store. read more

I love Raley's because they have the higher end products , cheeses , ingredients that I need. However today , very disappointed to have Saron ring up my groceries wearing a dirty pair of blue gloves; finger tips were yellowed and tan . I felt like I had to wipe off all my groceries when I got home. I am a Registered Nurse. Saron needs to loose the gloves and use hand sanitizer between each customer . If she can not tolerated hand sanitizer , then she needs to use sanitizer on her gloves after each customer and change gloves about every 1-2 hours throughout the day . Management needs to step up . read more

The florists here at the Oroville Raley's are amazing. I asked for a beautiful colorful bouquet and they outdid themselves. Beautiful quality & smells divine. This afternoon I was in a big rush to get a floral arrangement made for a friend, and decided to try Raley's Floral Department "instead of using my normal florist". Britney quickly acknowledge me and asked if she could help, she took her time to explain to me the difference in what plant/flowers were ideal for indoor vs outdoor. She also took the extra time to run to the back of the store and look for just the right flowers that hadn't been put out yet. Britney was super sweet, helpful and seemed to truly enjoy her job! She even took the time to customize my order and made it extra special. I was beyond impressed by her customer service skills and awesome attitude!! I can't recall when I have witnessed someone in customer service exhibit such a complete lack of awareness of good manners and principles of salesmanship as occurred at the Oroville Raley's. I will never return. Selection is great, but prices are high and service abysmal. read more

Large clean grocery store. Maybe not the type of place to go if your looking for a bargain but everything is clean and well laid out. They have a deli, pharmacy and bank located inside. read more

Disappointed in this store lately. They are discontinuing a lot of the healthy, vegan type of foods. They also don't restock organic food like the have in the past. Find ourselves having to travel the the Chico Raley's to purchase these items now. Very sad read more

We're RR on Oroville CA. We eat here all the time because the sandwiches are tasty. We have left several times recently waiting for service? 15 minutes again this morning. It is 06:45, there is no customers in front of us! Getting old. Been like this the last 2 years. We don't complain much but we have a schedule to hold. Again, today we went to Subway and got a lesser sandwich. We bring 4-6 guys in 3 days a week. We all just left today. read more

My family shops here quite often. They have great specialty items that you won't find anywhere else in Oroville. I've always found the employees to be friendly and helpful as well. However, they need to check their salad mixes and produce more often. This is the second time we've bought a salad mix there that was almost completely perished even after checking the expiration date. Not to mention this place is very overpriced. But for Oroville, it's a decent store. read more

I always get greeted with kind helpful workers. All the departments usually have someone close to help with questions. They are cleaner than the other local grocery stores and have awesome customer service. Their bakery and produce is always fresh and well organized. Prices have come down a little but still higher priced than the other stores. I think it's worth the extra dollar to get treated with respect. WTG Raleys. read more

Went in today to get a few sandwiches. We grabbed our number as they were helping others before us. After they were done, they called the two numbers before ours, we were the only people in line atm so no one came up when those numbers were called. The guy working in the sandwich area just gave us a dirty look, as he knew we were the next number and looked back down. He then started walking around looking for something to do, then helped the next people who walked up after my boyfriend had explained we were there first. The people who used to work the sandwich department before were great, now it's kind of a burden every time we make a trip there and not so great customer service. read more

Horrible store! At first it was okay until after a few times I have gone recently and especially today when I bought water there because they were on sale right it came up 50 cents so assumed oh for one pack I guess it's fifty cents well later on minutes later decided to get some for family and was coming up more so I asked an employee what was going on and she had the nerve to be mad at me and say I had pay more since I must have only did one "bottle". How the heck can I just do one bottle when I scanned the whole freaking package of water? She was rude and disrespectful. My husband even said as soon as I walked out because of her attitude she told him I am being grumpy and rude... well why wouldn't I if it wasn't my fault and she acted like it was my fault to begin with maybe next time if something similar happens to someone else try and be more nicer. This review is for their ground beef. Today was the third or fourth time in the last few months that I had purchased 15% lean Angus ground beef and the inside was brownish gray. The outside (top, bottom, and sides) was very bright and fresh looking. It had that layered look...looked like old meat sandwiched between the fresher meat. Today I just had had it with this gross looking surprise tucked neatly into the fresh meat. Went back to the store and spoke with a manager, who was also surprised at the condition of the meat. We both went to the meat dept. and got some far out excuse that it was a chemical thing and they had gotten a notice about it in their dept. He rambled. Needless to say, I was not satisfied with the explanation. I will discontinue buying my hamburger there. I have shopped at that Raley's for over 30 years and been VERY VERY pleased with it. And did I mention that the hidden brownish layered hamburger was still within the sell by date and $6.49 a pound! I hope management checks into this. I know that other shoppers have surely experienced this as well. read more

i give this store one star for there customer service their employees are always friendly, helpful, most importantly know their store. however the prices are just to high and theres nothing convieniant about paying to much. so no stars for that shopping online here is a joke if you want to shop online you must first create an acount i could not even complete the sign up because i dont have an extra card number and there is absolutely not help options so no stars for that. i am now forced to take my buisness elsewhere. read more
