What an amazing menu with great prices. Fabulous sourdough bread that you can purchase. I had a chicken salad that was made with fork-sized bites of chicken. There must've been eight add-ons for which there were no charges so you can make it as custom as you like. I did order bacon which was fantastic and only $1.25 for two slices. Had a pickle on the side. And you can order these in different lengths. I have not been this impressed with such great food with and matching price. Service was very helpful. Answered all kinds of questions. Plenty of tables to sit and have your lunch. It was very busy, in other words lots of happy customers. If this isn't a chain it should be. I do my best never to eat at chain restaurants because I like to help Mom Pop, local people, one of a kind places, but I would make an exception for this. Lucky find. Will be back. Staff was very efficient and hospitable, and the ambiance was very warm and cozy! Our kids love the clam chowder bread bowls, almost a weekly stop in the winter. The sandwiches are also really good here. Service always great, simple order process at the counter. We really like the pastrami and French dip sandwiches as well as clam chowder. Cost is a bit high for what you get, only reason I put as a 4 vs 5 star. Stopped in for lunch today and was really disappointed with the drink situation. Every single diet soda option was out, and the only "diet" option available was unsweetened iced tea which was sitting uncovered and open to whatever might drift into it. When I asked about diet drinks, the employee just pointed to some boxes on the counter and said, "They're here, but I haven't filled them yet." I get that things get busy, but it's not a great look when customers have no clean or covered beverage options, and the replacements are sitting unopened right there. I had to wait over 30 minutes for one turkey sandwhich with about five other people in the store. I genuinely watched a worker sneeze in her gloves and continue working. I watched multiple people ask for a refund and walk out because of how ridiculously long it was taking for seemingly no reason (they were well staffed). I am honestly disgusted with the service provided here and will not be coming back. If you were working on 1/31 at around 2:00 you need to rethink your work ethic. The sandwiches were made with fresh ingredients. We had the roast beef and chicken salad sandwiches. They were both delicious with the roast beef being juicy and the whole sandwich creamy. My chicken sandwich was very flavorful - filled with moist chicken, juicy fresh grapes and loved the crunch that the celery brought. Sourdough bread had a crispy crust and beautifully moist interior that was easy to chew. Both the greek and caesar salad were tasty and made with fresh ingredients. We also ordered the extra bread which was still warm. Olivia made our order. She was amazing, friendly and professional. This place seemed like a local Panera, with mostly sandwiches, soups, salads. - Clam chowder sourdough bowl (4/5): sourdough was super sour which I love. So doughy and delicious. The clam chowder seemed like a small portion; there was way more bread for the small amount of soup. Friendly service my only gripe was that it was cut before it was wrapped... since I had the 6" I wasn't sure to expect it and ended up having the top half star sliding off the bottom half as I peeled the wrapper down after a few bites. We picked up soup and salad tonight and enjoyed our experience. Lots of free parking out front and signage is clear for health and social distancing. As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted. Great customer service through our ordering process. Wait time was not bad at all, they had three very active employees working hard. Naturally we went for the sourdough bread bowl. It was soft and warm inside with a nice crunch effect outside. Instead of clam chowder we opted for the cream of potato soup and it was hearty. Additionally, we ordered the Italian salad. The food here is always good. I have had several different sandwiches and have not yet been disappointed. My favorite is the Ruben. Definitely not the healthiest of offerings, but delicious nonetheless. The only reason it is not a 5 star rating is due to the fact that only several occasions I have altered the ingredients when ordering online. I had two sandwiches missing mustard and sauerkraut. It was the first time we came to the woodland location and it's in a huge complex with Costco, target, and a bunch of other restaurants! We always ask for it hot so when we take that first bite, you taste and hear that warm bread crunch!! With the fresh meats and produce with the dressing and Dijon mustard, every bite is delicious!!! We got the 8 inch sandwich and it's a perfect size to share! We made it a meal so we got a clam chowder and a beverage with it! I also added a side of chili on the side because I wanted to try it. The clam chowder is always great, creamy and always piping hot! The chili was pretty good and it goes great with the slice of bread with it! Only reason I marked off one star was because I asked for half Swiss and half pepper jack on our Italian and they gave us all Swiss but we were too hungry to have them make it over. Fresh off of a plane, too early to check in to the hotel, and HANGRY. Found this little gem on the Yelp and decided to give it a try. Sandwich shop with some awesome deli style sandwiches and lots of options for them. Several meat combinations, several cheeses, sauces, etc. All served on a magnificent baguette of toasted sourdough. I opted for the Turkey and pastrami and was rewarded nicely. Fresh ingredients and a very filling sandwich. The Mac and Cheese side was delightful and I had to take leftovers to the hotel since the portions were so large. The soups looked and smelled good but in 100 degree weather, soup wasn't on my mind. New England Clam Chowder 7 days a week?! Wow! Who does that? Usually it's only a thing available on Fridays at most places aside from Boudin SF of course. Also, they do the bread bowls. Their Friday daily soup is chili, go figure. Normally I would go to MOD Pizza if in the area, or Mr. Pickle's for a sandwich, but Gabriela T. and I decided to try out Sourdough & Co for a Tuesday lunch. I got the 6" Italian (Dry Salami, Thinly Sliced Pepperoni, Mozzarella Cheese, Balsamic Vinegar, Olive Oil) and made it a combo with the soup (clam chowder) and fountain drink. They have that fancy Coca-cola touchscreen dispenser for sodas, iced teas on the side. You could also do a chips and drink combo. Sandwiches come in either 4", 6" or 8" lengths as well. Only one type of bread, the sourdough, which should be obvious given the name of the establishment. Gabby got the Garlic Pesto Turkey and clam chowder. If there's a next time I'd go for the roast beef, pastrami or reuben sandwiches. The total cost was almost $15 after making it a combo, though. The chowder was piping hot but just okay. read more

I AM SO HAPPY that Sourdough & Co is here in Woodland. It also recently opened in Davis, but I work in Woodland so this location is much more convenient for me. Sourdough & Co offers up delicious sandwiches that come on their signature, fresh sourdough bread. And that's really the key to their amazing food. The bread has nice sourdough character that isn't too sour - it just complements the ingredients that it is paired with so perfectly. My favorite sandwich is the turkey and dry salami. The mild turkey with the saltier salami is a wicked combo. Their signature spread is also great with everything. I'd simply just ask for everything on my sandwich and be done with it. It's all very good. Pricing-wise, you'll be paying more than your typical lower end sandwich chain places, but I think the extra coinage is worth it for the quality here. I really do think Sourdough & Co. oozes out a quality sandwich. The flavors in them just meld together perfectly! You really can't go wrong with anything here! read more
