Oklahoma Souvenirs and food?…read more I don't believe that I have ever walked out of 1907 without some unique find. The store is a combination of touristy Oklahoma souvenirs: shirts, hats, thermal coffee tumblers, with a few antiques and collectables scattered about. Many MIO items, which is why I like the store. Today I picked up a handmade wood business card holder. The young lady working the store said her grandpa made it! My wife got some kind of "goat soap." Always very friendly service here. Over the summer months there has been a Hot Dog cart working in front of their other building. They were taking advantage of the nearby construction work and also the farmers market crowd. 1907 now has a food trailer set up there. Convenient. Just across the street, Broken Arrow's ice-skating rink is up and running for the winter months. I am not sure what 1907 will be serving, but hot chocolate would be good, after a few falls on the ice!

We had to seek them out during our Route 66 Centennial Celebration road trip in the Midwest. We found Buck Atom's Cosmic Curious on 66. Wow, that is a mouth full to say and type! It used to be a 1950's PEMCO gas station and became Buck Atom in 2019 which isn't very long ago. The front where the pumps used to be now has benches. There appears to be a food trailer or truck on its left that wasn't open when we were here. We saw the towering Buck Atom cowboy "Muffler Man" statue who stands 21 feet on the right, his space cowgirl companion Stella Atom who is slightly shorter standing at 19 feet on the left, and in the middle is a small, but cute nostalgic roadside gift shop selling Route 66 memorabilia and souvenirs. Perfect stop for my eldest daughter and I! Buck Atom's welcomes all visitors from around the world to celebrate the magic of the Mother Road Route 66 with cool apparel, fun art, great holiday and treats, nice jewelry, toys, neat souvenirs, nifty stickers, magnets and more. We noticed Buck Atom, Stella Atom, and other giants were on signages, buttons, coffee mugs and tees throughout the shop. This is a must visit iconic roadside attraction! The lady behind the counter was super friendly and sweet. Thank you Julia for the warm welcome and excellent service. I bought some magnets and coasters as keepsakes for me and gifts for friends back home. I wanted to get a t-shirt, too, but they didn't have my size. Julia sent me over to one of their sister shops for the t-shirt... Meadow Gold Mack happens to be diagonally across the street. I did end up dropping by Meadow Gold Mack and getting my Route 66 t-shirt. Thanks Julia!

As I was leaving Lids store I say to the gentleman who has done embroiderlies for me to make sure it was done right or I would be unhappy. Nothing malice. I leave the store and got on the escalator almost to the top. The young lady had a male coworker. He hollers at me in the mall out loud. Embarr me and TOLD me to come back to the store. In front of customer, he is very loud and says he is refunding me. I guess he felt he would put me in my place. And kicked me out the store. The customer is ALWAYS right unless you are Native American. LIDS! What happened to you. I have done business with you for years in Louisiana and Oklahoma. Never knew you didn't like Native Americans.

Considering it's an outlet, everything was pretty organized and easy to find. They have some fantastic brands: Kate Spade, Ted Baker, Hugo Boss, Armani Exchange, Trina Turk, to name a few. Let's talk about prices: Ted Baker t-shirts for $10, Kate Spade purse for $60, Hugo Boss polo for $50. You cannot beat those prices. We picked up a blazer that retailed for $595 down to $40. If you like to shop, this is the spot for you. I really wish this store was closer to home, I'd be there every week!
