This will probably come across as over-the-top for a review, but I was truly impressed by the service that we received. Had a bad experience at another Honda dealership and left a poor review accordingly. We just bought a used accord from Gary and had a great experience. The only thing that I was hoping for was a little more help on the price, but when Gary pulled a list of comparable vehicles, I agree that the price was fair. I purposely made an appointment for an inspection of my 2018 Honda. I was told it should take about 15 to 20 minutes when I made the appointment. I arrived early and then waited for over an hour. When I inquired after 45 minutes as to the delay I was told that the inspection service was "backed up". I will not bring my car back for another inspection. read more

I took my Honda accord 2002 to Ralph Honda for the timing belt and water pump to be replaced. It was around $750.00 for the work they did. When they did the work on my timing belt and water pump they gave me other service recommendations for the car and noted there was a leak in my exhaust pipe. Four months later, this January, I called them back to ask for an estimate to do the exhaust. They said they weren't sure what my car would need even though they had just looked at the car a few months ago. I was told to set up an appointment to bring it in to be looked at. When I came in for the appointment, the service advisor, Steven, told me that he already dealt with my car the previous time I brought it in and that it didn't need to be looked at. He already knew that it needed a new exhaust pipe and told me they didn't even have the part for my car to do the work. He said he didn't know who told me to bring it in for the appointment and that they couldn't help me since the part would need to be ordered. He then recommended I try to get my exhaust repaired elsewhere. I got the exhaust, muffler and links done at Vesa's Auto on University. I asked them to check out a problem with a sqealing sound one of the belts was making. I showed them the receipt from Ralph, showing them the work on the belts that I had done by them in September. He said the problem was with one of the belts that they had just replaced and that he could fix it, but I should take it to Ralph because they should do the repair for free since they worked on those belts. He also told me he could have saved me hundreds of dollars had I have taken my car into Vesa's Auto to do the timing belts instead. I called back Ralph Honda and told them I was having a loud high pitched squeaking sound coming from the belts they replaced and made ANOTHER appointment to bring it back in. I sat in the waiting room for an hour and 45 minutes waiting for them to work on the problem with my car. As I'm sitting there in the waiting room, I look up and notice my car parked in the parking lot... No one had come to get me to tell me the work was done and my car was ready. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and thought maybe they weren't completely done or he was about to come out to get me... I waited about 15 more minutes before I got up myself and went up to Steven's service desk to ask what was going on with my car. He came up and said, "Okay, you're all set." I'm just still wondering how much more time he was going to let pass, letting me sit in the waiting room for no reason while my car was ready for who knows how long.... TERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I will never take my car back here and would advise other's against bringing their car in for service here, because it is the absolute WORST!!! ALSO, after ALL THAT, I was still charged for them to do the belt adjustment, which was about $32.00. I figured after all of that they would at least fix the issue for free, especially since they did the work on those belts 4 months ago, but hey that's BAD BUSINESS FOR YA! Lesson learned. I leased my Honda Accord back in 2010, it was my first time ever shopping for a car, the sales people were great, i forget to mention the name who still keeps in touch with me. What i did not like was the service department, the mechanics seem to be very rude, did my first oil change there, did not ever go again. read more

I am extremely dissatisfied with my service in the service shop. I am leasing a 2018 Honda HRV. There was a recall on a part in the car's breaking system and I was told that my car would be in service for a couple of hours. I did not receive a call notifying me that my car would have to be in the shop for 5 days! I called each consecutive day and even asked for a rental because my car is a lease. I was told that they had no cars available, which is ridiculous. I am so dissatisfied with the service and the man I spoke to on the phone was very rude and told me that when I booked the appointment I was told there was no guarantee that they would get to the car that day (which is a total lie). We had a great experience with our Sales Rep, Nathan! We are definitely going back for our next car purchase. I hate buying used cars but it was a smooth process. We had an appointment and when we arrived, Nathan had the car out front and warming up. We negotiated for awhile and felt no pressure. He understood our budget and worked with his Sales Manager to give us a great deal! The initial value they offered for our trade in was very very low but they brought it up a lot. Our mechanic looked at the car and said they had put on new tires and new brakes. The battery was going so we asked and they replaced that before we picked up the car. Absolutely awful. Set up an appointment to talk about a car only to have them sell it out from under me and didn't bother to tell me about it until after I'd driven all the way out there. Then they said they'd ship one in from a nearby dealer for me the next day, had me go through the whole process of buying a car, write them a freaking check, only to get a call from them the morning saying they'd sold that one out from under me. Awful customer service. Takes advantage of customers, thus overcharging them. Technician's employed at a dealership should know what *really* needs to be replaced. A 13 year old car shouldn't be receiving thousands of dollars in repairs if it's only going to be on the road for another year or so, especially if the repairs cost more than the value of the vehicle. While they did do an efficient job, the technicians aren't there to help the customer, just to get a few extra (thousand) dollars from them. They deceive the customer about the price of their repair by not quoting labor prices or any potential additional fees. (Not to mention, doing this is completely illegal.) Definitely won't be returning. read more

I am absolutely disgusted with this dealership. A total of 4 vehicles have been purchased from this dealership in our family. I have been arguing with Honda and Ralph for the last 15 months about a problem that occurred 45 days after purchase. I have been continuously blamed for having an incompatible IPhone with Apple CarPlay. I was told by my salesman that "it's just the radio!" I would not have purchased this car knowing the problems I was going to have. It has been in the shop 4 times. With a complete new audio unit that still continues to not work. I was told by The home Honda office to wait for an update but it is now 15 months later with no update insight! My Lemon Law Case was dismissed saying the car was in perfect working order! So apparently me taking the problem to them and having impeccable documentation and videos of the problem means nothing and I'm suppose to keep paying for garbage with my hard earned money! Not to mention I'm not going to get anything for trade on something that has a documented issue on CarFax, but you could care less about that right? Absolutely frustrating!! read more

Worst experience of my life. I bought an 08 honda and had immediate problems. First breaks, then blown radiator, now the transmission may need replacing! We're talking thousands and thousands in repair bills. I paid almost 18000 for a hunk of junk. I recently purchased a 2017 Honda crv from ralph Honda. I am very disappointed with my experience..when I struck a deal I made it clear to my sales rep which vehicle I picked out and that's the vehicle that I wanted. When I showed up for delivery the vehicle I chose was switched on me to a vehicle that was brought in on a dealer trade. It had more miles on it and also was sitting on there lot since December of 2016. I am very upset about this. And it was very dishonest of them to do this to me. As they never disclosed this to me. I found this out on my own on delivery. And I should have refused the delivery. I have made several attemps to contact there management team and nothing accomplished. this dealer ship is crooked and I would not recommend them. read more

Linda the service department lead is a rude snarky make excuses individual. My vehicle was back multiple times for an apparent leak. Water was coming in a pooling in my rear passanger floor for nearly 2 years. They continued to make every excuse claiming "I was incorrect" and that the sun roof must be taking in water because they aren't made to withstand the "monsoon like rains in NY state" ( I kid you not this is what she claimed multiple times) We continued to complain of the standing water, musty smell and just plain oversights on their part. FINALLY the 3rd drop off uncovered that YES YOU'RE RIGHT CUSTOMER there IS water coming in and the rear passanger door seal is faulty. NEVER once did Linda apologize, or even conduct herself in a decent manner. Instead she was defensive, rude and accusatory with every trip. She is the LAST PERSON who should be the first contact with clients nor should she even be of an authority position. If I ever need to deal with their service department again I will be demanding to speak with ANYONE but her.!!!! read more

I bought a 2010 Honda Odyssey from Ralph Honda about 4 years ago. While it was under warranty, I was told I would have to pay $100. for each time I brought it in for repairs, so I should wait until I had a few things & it would only be one $100. charge. I did that, but they made separate appts. for each thing (even when I reminded Steve Peccoro that I wanted them all done for the same $100. fee). The work they did was shoddy at best, fraud at worst. Everything they "fixed" has fallen apart & had to be redone by someone reputable. They do not stand behind their vehicles & they are not very nice to their customers. They never mentioned the fact that my warranty was good in other places; they told me I had to come back there to get the work done. Do not take your vehicle here for repairs - they really don't know what they are doing & they are very nasty about it. And their charges are outrageous compared to anyone else. I take my van to Midas & they are just the opposite. I'd never buy another vehicle from these guys. read more

Great experience in a crisis on a Saturday at 3pm. I was 2+ hours away from home, my car key broke and I drove in unannounced and they were able to accommodate me within an hour. All the folks I interacted with were wonderful. The only thing I could see possibly wrong with this dealership was the small, not cozy waiting area. Just want to say what great service I have received at Ralph Honda with the purchase of my new Honda 2108 hrv..First and foremost I would like to recognize the Excellent service and care I received with Chuck Markham.He was there to answer all my emails and questions and make the deal go as fast as possible.I had been searching and getting prices etc..for over a month with all local Honda dealers.I had been told by Garber Honda that they would beat the price of Ralph and to come down.So money talks or so I thought we went down to dealer on1/20/2018 check in hand as this was a cash buy.I had a trade that I had been told was valued at 2,700.The used car manager said he would not give me that only 2,350...After being treated poorly and basically being told they did not want to make the original deal I was shocked that they would for 350$ difference throw out a cash paying customer.So enough of garber ughhhh as fate would have it we then went to Ralph Honda and 2 hours later with the help of Chuck were driving home in out new Honda Hrv..the same deal the garber said no.The whole experience at Ralph Honda is 100% better than all dealers!!!
