From a business perspective, I've known the family behind Emerson Collision since the mid 70's, and at the time, was into auto restoration and custom welding and paint. They were my only recommendation for collision and repair work. Their quality speaks volumes. When they moved from Emerson to Ridgeway Ave, it would not have been a good idea to change the name, as "Emerson" already had Excellence attached to it. Unlike many body shops, nothing gets taped; any glass, emblems, or trim that is in or near the affected area, is removed. This leaves no chance of any peeling or lifting. Over the years, they have done repairs for myself, family, and friends. When the vehicles are complete, the reaction is always the same, it's like having a new car again. Why? Because the vehicle is in pristine condition thanks to the thorough cleaning and detailing at the end of the repair. They treat your vehicle like one of their own. But in my book, most important is the customer service. Tony and Gina manage the incoming traffic and know the business inside and out. Tony is laid back and will make you laugh. Gina is the work horse and keeps things flowing. With today's electronic technology, their communication with the customer will exceed your expectations, as they keep you informed with the repair process with daily messages and pics. Just got my car back yesterday after needing some body work done after an accident, and I could not be happier with the results. As soon as I brought my car in everything was coordinated with my insurance company, so my repairs could be made while I was away for the week. While I was gone they updated me everyday with pictures and explanations of the repair in progress, which I greatly appreciated. The girl at the office, Gina, was readily available to answer any and all of my questions via text which was super convenient. As for the repair work itself I had a dented and rusted quarter panel which they fixed to mint condition! I honestly cannot even tell where the repair was made. When I receive EXCELLENT service I have to pass it on. This experience was a 10+, 5 Star & 2 Thumbs Up experience. I recently had an accident where someone hit the back of my car. Nothing major but it did require repair. Their insurance paid for all damage repair. I took my car to Emerson Collision, (2589 Ridgeway Ave, just East of Long Pond Rd) for an estimate, as one of several suggested by the insurance company. I did so because they were located in Greece (where I live) and I like to do business locally. This was my first experience with Emerson and I had the option to take my car anywhere to have the work done after receiving that estimate. BUT....from the minute I walked into the front office I knew this was where I wanted to have my car repaired. Gina, Tony & Jenell were all VERY personable and professional from when we first met to when I picked up my car PLUS the communication was EXCELLENT throughout the process.
