First, I never review companies, however, I was so delighted by my experience with The Dent Guy that I wanted to help others realize that they have better options out there, other than larger collision type body shops. I am big on doing my diligence and reached out to 5 different places for quotes and The Dent Guy, hands down, was the most straight-forward and diligent during the process. Pros -Excellent Workmanship for a Fair Price -I contacted several body shops through Yelp to determine the best fit for repair and The Dent Guy responded so quickly and was up front and honest! -I don't know what kind of magic The Dent Guy does but it's freaking amazing quality work haha. My car looked so beautiful when he was finished!! -Dan FIRST took the time to understand what I was looking for and then proceeded to walk me through the repair options, honestly explaining each. -Dan really cares for the customer and enjoys seeing them walk away truly happy with the service/repair and overall experience. -Another thing that instantly stood out as I walked in, was the facility was SUPER clean, warm, organized, and well taken care of; as they say, what is on the inside of someone, is reflected on the outside; you can tell Dan takes pride in his company by the way he takes care of the facility. It is not only the sitting area that is so comfy (I thought I was a Java's for coffee hahaha) and clean, but EVEN the repair area was clean and all of the tools were neatly organized. I was so impressed by this, you just don't see that level of care and attention to detail these days. Cons -I seriously sat here trying to think of one, but I just did not experience any cons during my visit. I walked aways with a smile on my face and an experience that made my whole week. I wish more companies had the integrity and quality service that Dan practices. I purchased a used 2014 Lincoln MKS, the first used car I've purchased in many years, obviously the previous owner did not take advantage of the far end of the parking lots. So I took my car to Dan for an estimate, we identified 5 door dings in need of repair. Before we agreed to the repairs I informed him of how picky I am in terms of my expectations leaning towards perfection. Dan confidently assured me that I had no worries the dings would be gone. Needless to said by the (star 5 rating) I gave him....HE DID A GREAT JOB! My experience with Dan didn't stop there, after a day or so I discovered another very faint ding/shallow dent, looking down the drivers side, holding your head just right, in the proper lighting, you could see it. I returned it to Dan on a Saturday morning after he informed me that he would be stopping by the shop, ask if I could bring the car in. We agreed that, neither of us saw the imperfection at the initial evaluation. Please note that this was not his normal work day, but he planned that it would take about an hour to repair. In short it took longer than he expected, I enjoyed watching him work, the guy is a magician. He would not accept pay afterwards, since he said "he'd missed it in the estimate". In my two visits to his shop there was a down on his luck veteran that Dan helps by saving recyclables for him, lets him sweep out the shop for contributions ...So in lieu of pay, I made a modest contribution to Frank the veteran. Simply stated- Dan is the man! I had a jam packed 4th of July weekend moving into my new apartment with the addition of work being unexpectedly busy. I managed to get it all done but as I was driving up the ramp into my new parking lot that night, my front wheel sunk into an ill-placed pothole and dented my front bumper. I was beyond upset. Absolute Perfection! Here's my story. So I have a 2005 Dodge 2500 which is in amazing condition. I was checking my oil one day and i used my elbow to push the hood down and put a dent in the hood... i am a very maticulous person and ill tell you what that dent really bothered my right up untill the day i got it fixed. Now im not too trusting with workmanship these days to be honest so i was hesitant about getting the job done but how much worse could it get right? So i call Dan the Dent Guy and he was available that day. So i was very satisfied that he could get me in that same day i had the time to do so. I bought a new 2016 Mazda3 S Grand Touring and it wasn't long before I got my first ding. Something scraped by against the rear side of my car leaving a 2.5 in horizontal dent and some minor paint damage. Dan was able to fix the dent and even buffed the scratches out of the paint to the point where no damage is visible standing 2 feet away. I had originally gone to the dealer to see what they could do and they said it couldn't be fixed without doing expensive body repair. I'm happy to find out they were wrong. I did not experience any cons working with Dan. He gave me a free estimate when I first showed up and we agreed on a time to bring the car in. I brought the car in and he fixed it in the time frame he estimated. I call The Dent Guy NY not knowing whether the damage on my fender could be repaired in this kind of process . Dan, the owner of the company spent a few minutes explaining how it is done and what can be repaired. He asked my to text a few photos to him and I did. He got back to me promptly and gave me a small range of price he thought it would be. It was way less than a bodyshop price I got. (It was my fault so I didn't to turn I'm a claim to my insurance company ) we arraigned an appointment at my home and I had a garage. Dan arrived promptly, looked at damage and said the price was within the original quote. After about less than 1 hour he knocked on door and said he had completed repair. Wow, where did the dent go? Dan did an excellent job. He was very confident it what he can and can't do and would give alternate recommendations prior to committing to the job. I have a brand new truck with a crome bumber that had a large "grapefruit" size dent in it. I knew it was going to be hard for a painless dent repairman to fix but the only alternative was buying a $700 bumper from the dealer, NOT including labor! I committed to have Dan The Dent Guy do the job and he even said that it would not be 100% but he thought he can take it on. I am glad I had him do it because you can't notice that anything was done to the crome bumper. All for $300 total. He saved me at least $500-$600 and made my bumper look fresh again. Dan the Dent Guy has truly mastered the Art of Metal Straightening. He was able to completely remove a large dent that was directly on a body line of my Brand New Toyota Tundra's front fender. He was incredibly generous with his time and helped me out on a short notice despite having a shop full. He explained his process in detail and went out of his way to put me at ease. His Results amazed me as you can not tell it had such a large dent and scrape. The paint is back to brand new, the dent is gone and the body line is 100% straight. Dan is the very best in Rochester. Dan is a magician! I took my car to NuLook for a deep scratch on the front bumper. They said it could not be sanded or touched up unless they took the bumper off at a cost of $600. They gave it back to me with white paint transfer in the scratch which they said would not come off. I took it to Dan The Dent Guy, he stopped what he was doing, removed the paint from the scratch, buffed it and touched up the paint in 30 minutes. HE MADE THAT SCRATCH DISAPPEAR LIKE MAGIC! I own a 2014 Honda cb500f, my first real motorcycle, and I put a nice dent on the trank. I rode a whole season with that dent on a brand new bike. All, I can say is another great repair job by Dan. He is amazing, and his talents are unsurpassed. He was able to repair a 8" long narrow indent in the door and another more harsh dent in the drivers door of a friends 2011 Camaro SS. Not only was he able to repair the dents, he was also able to wet sand the fairly deep scratches in the door and buff them out.
