My husband and I came here over a rainy MDW weekend. My husband frequently purchases Ralph Lauren and was looking for some summer clothes. Sales people could not have been more rude and unhelpful. No greeting, nobody willing to help you find a size, let alone the dressing room. They were all chatting with each other or only interested in helping those buying custom suits. After 45 minutes of zero customer service we left. The people that work there act as though you are an inconvenience - this is your literal job. We understand stores get busy, but basic acknowledgment and courtesy go a long way. Disappointing experience, especially given the brand and expectations for customer service. Spend your money elsewhere - we went to Burberry instead where the salespeople couldn't have been more gracious. read more

I love RL. The design of each store is so unique and inviting. But all that is trumped by the not so friendly staff. They seem to speak to each other while assisting me. And they don't pay much attention to the customer. I left feeling underwhelmed. I'm not sure why they all act like customer doesn't matter, but I won't be shopping there again. Three times is enough. I went to Burberry after, and they put you on a pedestal. If you want a good experience, either go to NYC flagship or online. read more

My daughter purchased something for my husband which didn't work out. She returned it a bit after the allotted time (they were still selling the item). They told her that she could have store credit, but had to use it that day. She chose two items for her sons, which were on sale. They said she couldn't get the sale price (everything in the store was on sale) because of the late return. She tried to speak with the manager, to no avail. She purchased something of equal value as the credit for regular price, while all of the other customers enjoyed the sale. It's amazing to me that a store/company of that caliber would treat a customer in that manner. She shops (shopped) there regularly. Unfortunately we will not be customers any longer. read more

He made My entire experience just amazing I don't know what I would have done without his help. I'm not sure about the other employees, but if they're anything like Wendy, you'd feel like you underpaid after your visit. I'm very indecisive when shopping. In addition, I went with my 2 year old. Wendy was incredibly patient and accommodating. Today was my second time around. Wendy always followed up with me and made sure to remind me of their promotions. She remembered my style and sizes and assisted me with another sizable purchase in record time. Today was my day off and even though she was off as well, she made it a priority to be there to assist me. I'd never ask that if anyone, but she insisted and it's tough to refuse her generosity. She greeted me with a hug, and assisted me as if it was her normal workday. I mean that's amazing service! I'd never shop at any other Ralph Lauren Store. And I'd never work with any other rep. Several days ago (the night of 12/13/23), I was in the area picking up an order given to me via DoorDash (trying to make some extra money for the holidays). Unaware that the Ralph Lauren store even did DoorDash orders, I went to retrieve said pickup. Upon arriving at the store, I realized the store seemed to be closed. I asked one of the associates in the front (because the door was still open) for a little guidance, in which, I was advised to walk into the store towards the register where I would be better assisted. Once I arrived at the register, I was met by one of the employees who seemed to be agitated, and proceeded to take her frustration out on me. Before I move on with the interaction, and in case you are wondering, yes, I am Before I could explain why I was in the store, she immediately let me know the obvious; that the store was closed/closing. Fully aware the store was closed/closing, I tried to explain that I was not there to purchase anything, but that an order was placed for pickup, hence why I was there at that time. The employee proceeded to ignore what I was saying and repeat that the store was closed (at this point, for the 6th time, as if I did not already make it clear that I was aware). Her attitude and behavior with me was downright rude and uncalled for, especially since the door for me to get into the establishment was still open (through the coffee shop there), not to mention, I was advised to walk into the store by one of the other employees. As someone whom not only also works in Manhasset, but was simply there for a pickup that was processed via Ralph Lauren at no action of my own, her behavior towards me reflected that of someone who is not too kind to people like myself. I've spent money at this particular location before, as well as other stores along Americana Manhasset, but I have never been belittled and ostracized the way I was last night. What made it worse was that, as I was walking out, her tone changed with another customer whom had walked in not too long after me, and that customer left pleased. Interactions like this tell me that people of color are not as welcomed in these high-end retail stores as they make it seem in their company's mission statements and social media campaigns. To be in 2023, almost 2024, and still have to deal with this behavior makes me want to let everyone I know aware that Ralph Lauren, specifically the Manhasset location, employs people that only cater to a SPECIFIC kind of people. I like to think that, that is not the case, but after my interaction last night, I am not too sure anymore. Regardless, if you are a person of color and a fan of this brand, I would highly recommend you reconsider spending your money here.......or at the very least, at this particular location. read more

If I could this store no stars, I would. So I ordered a gift for my son for Christmas and had it shipped to the store. When I came into the women section of the store one sales associate ran from me. So I asked another lady for help. The sales associate asked if I am a door dasher and I replied no. So I looked for my email and gave her the order number for my package. As I waited for my package the other two sales associate were following me through the store or was just talking about me. Once I received my package I asked for a bag then they proceeded to tell me there were none that big I would just to carry the box out of the store. Now here is the funny part of being racially profiled the next Asian lady came into the store and no one asked her if she was a door dasher. We did call to file a complaint but at this time no one has called back. However, I will remember this and I will be filing more complaints about this store. Came in to return an item i got as gift as it didnt fit my needs. I had a gift receipt. The store associate said oh its old so i cant give you store credit? Because the gift receipt is past 30 days... I said well what can you do for it she stated that i will have to purchase something and they could then proceed with an exchange... I inquired about where they had their new fall sweaters. They said oh you cant use kt on that it has to be housewares bc the item i was returning was from that department... Hmm last i checked everything was in the same store. So i found a platter and some small bowls to fit my liking... then i was able to apply the credit towards it... A little disappointed in this policy its not like i didnt have a receipt. People buy gifts well in advance and provide a gift receipt for a reason. read more

I placed an order online and I received my order som items I returned - I went to the outlet to store in Deer Park where they offer to mail your items back and handle the return - all done 9/6/2023- I call the main to store in Manhasset to Check on the return status and Mindy picks up the phone says she couldn't help me and hangs up on me after I ask for more assistance - maybe it's a sign for me to to actually make the trip to the store and see what's going on - maybe I need to have a Karen moment so I can have some real help read more

I can't believe the rudeness of the employees in this store. I walked to the front register to check out my children's clothing as no one was at the back register in the children's section. As I'm waiting, the cashier from the front comes over and tells me to go back to the back register, with no reasoning. I begrudgingly oblige. I wait and wait as the employee in the children's section completes several other tasks, such as wrapping up clothing and answering the phone before tending to my purchase. One of my items was on the sale rack but didn't say the sale price. She told me she wasn't able to find the item in the system at all. Interesting since there were several of the same item on the shelf. She acted completely bothered that she had to go beyond the scope of simply ringing me up to finally find it on their website for full price. I told her it was on the sale rack but she didn't seem to care. I put back all my items and left the store due to the poor attitude of the employees. This is a spacious and elegant boutique with a broad selection, including certain items that may not be available in the Madison Avenue flagship stores, although the ones on Madison Avenue have much broader selections. The sales associates are quite helpful. However, at times it's best to avoid them in order to explore the merchandise and ask for assistance afterwards. Very convenient parking outside in the beautiful Americana Manhasset shopping center. read more

If I can give this store zero stars I would. My husband and I came in to return a baby gift we got a few months ago for credit. The woman we dealt with (don't know her name but she had red hair and glasses and was middle aged) was beyond nasty telling us we were past the return due date and saying "this is winter stuff! What am I even supposed to do with this stuff now??" As if she was Ralph Lauren herself and owned the store. Like dude chill you are a minimum wage worker and our return of 2021 winter clothing isn't a personal affront to you. I don't know what's so hard about telling us nicely it's past due and she apologizes but there's nothing she can do. No need to be up in arms and nasty about it. I never write reviews but this experience just left such a gross taste in my mouth. You would think walking into an upscale store would at least get you decent customer service but my husband and I were treated like we had just shop lifted. I usually park in the large lot and enter through women's. Employees standing in that area usually just look me and not say a word. For the most part, if I'm buying something for my mom or sister, I'll just buy it online. The children's department is another nightmare, I knew what I wanted from visually seeing it on the website but I wanted to see it in person to get a better look at the size (somethings are cut smaller than others) it literally took me 2 minutes to pick up what I wanted and then 15 mins to checkout..... why? One woman at checkout on the phone helping a customer, other employees walking around. They need to take some training tips from the men's department because they are always a pleasure and helpful with me. read more

Courteous staff helped me exchange a Christmas present today for my niece. The sweater I had from online was too small (size 4T). Though they didn't have the same exact sweater in the store, I was able to return the sweater I had and purchase a new one (the classic cable knit in size 5). Plus, the new sweater was 40% off and came to $5 less than the other sweater. It's a beautiful store. Not sure if I would shop here on the regular however today's purpose met my needs. read more

Everyone loves Ralph Lauren because it's a great brand, me too! I saw this store while driving so after I went to the stores I originally wanted to go to I went into RL. There's a small variety of females clothing(Literally only Polo T-shirts & sweaters). They do have a variety of colors which I love but that's it. The shirts are around $80.00 and up(expected). The men's have a lot of different styles to choose from so you can get your prep on! This store also looks a bit depressing because it's so dark although I get its suppose to have an edgy sophisticated look to it but after a while it gets annoying. read more

I was extremely disappointed and hurt by the way an associate treated my three year old son today. My son is curious, friendly and enthusiastic about life. He loved the decor of the airplanes and many props in the children's section of the store. It was very hurtful when as associate asked him if he'd like to play the "quiet game" and that he's too loud. When I told her that he would never win at that game she continued to tell him "the first one to speak loses". As an early childhood educator and having my family live in Manhasset for over 60 years this customer service is not tolerated. Then I had to wait 10 days and nothing came. So I called them and the main office they said the store screwed up and the amount did go back to the original sender.
