Zero consistency at the "build-your-own" sandwich deli…read more My first visit here was fantastic where the sandwich maker pulled out a note pad and made a list of my ingredients and produced a delicious East Coast Italian grinder in a very reasonable amount of time. Saturday early evening was the exact opposite. This gent had zero business being assigned to this department working solo and really should be in another department altogether. He had no idea what he was doing, and I had to guide him through the entire process. I recommended he make a list and he vetoed that. As a result, I showed him my list of ingredients, and he took it with his glove hand and set the dirty paper on the board where you lay the bread out to make a sandie. Woof! And then he could not read it anyway, so he had to ask me. He could not find anything and even when I pointed out obvious packaged meats in front of his face, he did not hear it or was not listening. I had to say the word and point it out three times. When he saw the list, he said he would have to use less of each because there were too many. There was no offer of "it will cost more" to do this so I just said fine, do what your able to do. In the end, he forgets the cheese entirely and when I ask for dressing (oil and vinegar) he drops a 1/4 of a tsp on the bread only and not on top of the other half. I said to myself "shine it" I'll fix this cold mess at home with a jar of giardiniera I recently bought in Chicago at a sandwich shop. I only noticed the absence of provolone cheese when I got home. What I did observe was three slices of meat, two strips of lettuce and the roll for their standard price. I am all for giving people opportunities or a shot whether young or old but if someone is not a fit for a particular department do not place them there even during the off-peak hours or to sub for someone's meal period. Another associate entered towards the end of this 25-minute fiasco. I am a rare breed in the "tech age" and very patient but this guy tested even my patience. He was not rude, but he was not very personable either. He seemed overwhelmed out of the gate, and it stayed that way throughout. In the end, I fixed it at home on my own dime with my own provolone cheese, red wine vinegar, EVO and giardiniera. I likely will not be back unless I come at the lunch hour and look for a different worker. Otherwise, I will try out Sprout's or go back to Ralph's who has done a nice job in the past. They offer the same services.

My fiancée and I were there and wanted a bottle of Tequila that was locked in the cabinet. I left to find a worker and didn't see any so I went to self-checkout to see if the young lady there may have a had a walkie or something to help. Behind an organizer of reusable bags I could see a worker just standing there. David. The young lady asked if he could help me since she could not leave her post and he said he had a customer. He didn't. He then opted to call someone to the front who didn't come. He behaved this way all thinking I did not see him. I walked over to his checkout lane and looked directly at him to which he looked down. The young lady then came to help me as self-checkout was empty. It was fairly quick. Less than 2 minutes. She told me it'd be at the front. I know at this location, I can purchase liquor with an employee at self-checkout but I purposely went to David's lane. He couldn't say "Hello," look at us directly, or say "Thank you have a good night." while checking us out despite doing just that to the person in front of us and behind. Hmmmmmm? Interesting yes? I loudly thanked the young lady for helping us and leaving her post to do so while remarking on David not helping her or us. I wish I had asked for her name. She did not have on her name tag or it was on her pant loop. I didn't get to see it. This interaction will not stop me from going to this store necessarily, but I will not forget the interaction. To be that purposely evasive so loudly is poor work ethic and customer service.

A few months ago, I noticed Cotija cheese on the back shelf that was moldy and well past its expiration date, which I immediately reported to the cashier. Then just two days ago, my son purchased bacon that turned out to be two months expired. This doesn't seem to be an isolated incident, and it appears expired items are not being removed from the shelves consistently. I hope management takes this seriously and improves their inventory checks, as this is a food safety concern.

We opened another a few days later, and it was no different. We planned to return them, but got busy, and now they'll likely end up in the trash too. After two separate experiences like this, I can't afford or justify coming back. Very disappointing.

But when I got home which was about 5-10 minutes away, I only had 2 out of 3, meaning I believe I dropped one sometime after I walked out of the store. I frantically drove back from my home to the parking lot trying to find my missing third salmon but to no avail. I had to accept that I lost one of my purchases... I went back in the store and frantically explained my situation to the employee at the registrar, and he deferred my issue to a store manager (I think), his name is Brendan S., who gave me 1 smoked salmon on the house to compensate for the trouble that, again, was my own fault! I instantly felt so much better and was very grateful that he understood my predicament. I cannot thank Brendan enough for fixing my issue. I have been a longtime customer of this Trader Joes, and I will be sure to continue to do a lot more shopping there in the future. However, they really need to step up the quality of staff they hire for the pizza bar (the manager or a more seasoned employee is usually at the cold deli section). On one recent visit, we placed an order for one pizza and when we dutifully came back 15 minutes later, there was literally no one at the pizza bar and one pizza was in the oven and we watched as it got progressively more and more charred. Finally, another customer got the attention of another employee who was shocked and apparently the pizza person "had an emergency" and "didn't tell anyone". So our pizza was never made and the employee just ran off with a pizza baking to literally ash. Fast forward to another incident and it's 1PM and nearly all of the self service options are empty. We ask the pizza person if we could just order an entire pizza and was told 45-50 minutes. So needless to say we left because we definitely didn't plan on shopping for an hour just for a pizza. Here's a picture of the embarrassingly empty self serve section. I did inquire if they'll be stocking more self service pizzas and that was another 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile they were still taking more phone orders. However, I'm glad this experience told me they accepted phone orders. Now I'll just order at home before leaving the house so it's all ready when we get there.

Ralphs; 26901 Aliso Creek Rd, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656 RE: Service & Products from Mid Feb- Aug 2022 NOTE Continuation of REPORT 6th Transmittal... ...Stealing of that which I have paid for as aforementioned & other items in efforts to wind or snare people making them think me remotely is part of that person's agenda & that how she is cheating people &/or bringing them unnecessary harm. She isn't an employee of Ralphs yet has sadly been an influence that Ralphs or a portion of Ralphs staff has joined in to be against someone & collaborate chaos. -Shortly after my arrival to the area & staff noticed my shopping from the clearance section & having talked with a portion of that Bakery staff who said it's all donated to the group down the street who gets it for free with a lot of other options of produce, etc. I don't have the physical ability to get to that 'non-profit' group & have a certain knowledge of certain things they may or may not be aware of. They then began to stop putting the items in clearance noticing I was shopping from there & upon mention of the reason that they stopped placing items in clearance just provided excuses of no time to place it there. Their personal vendetta or attempt upset someone doesn't cost me; it cost Ralphs their profit margin! The worse factor of this is the intentions behind the actions! A good portion of that so-called homeless group is a plant! I am aware of certain factors & their goals. I am also one of those who have been adversely affected by their way of living factors that cost good employees in the workplace while their temporary goal or projection of blame is part of their business. Being wrongfully accused or discriminated against unjustly & with ill intent is not accepted! Participation with such is not accepted! The woman attempting coordinate the instigation placed a white sheet of paper with a set of numbers written on it in permanent black marker & yet denies it. She does her tracing using people & their belongings or using minors. I wouldn't be satisfied or willing to agree to this grown adult 57 or 53 y.o.a. whispering in teenager's ears, drafting minors to trace people for her purpose. The youth of today have enough ahead of them & don't need people that add to the upcoming challenges they may have before them. The staff of any business should have the ability to exclude themselves while on the clock & representing their employer, from any such hate crime activities against a person of a different or thought to be different from them. She has recently gotten her EBT card & now shopping frequently at Ralphs & yet the card has a nickname rather than her legal name. -The Fire Extinguishers are blocked by Ralphs's merchandise stocked by staff. I once questioned the staff as placing it right in front of the fire extinguisher asking him if he was aware of the clearance from that safety device that was to be left clear & he said they always do that. -Malicious actions versus an action of need. The intentions are malicious with the intent to cause one harm. Consequences should be greater on such which are against one due to gender, race, religion, culture or placement/position or thought to be placement or position in a society, community, or area. To intentionally keep one from their nutritional needs even after seeing their physical struggle is malicious. There is no ability to gain the nutritional needs from a place that basically has boxed or canned goods in the same area of current options. -It's a shame that decent employees are having to be surrounded by that which provides them an unhealthy work environment, including the staff ruining peoples' experience or endangering customers in numerous forms. While there wanted to get in & out to not have to put up w/ the nonsense comments of a small number of staff. -The Restrooms for the most part kept clean & yet the sanitary lacking in that the laziness of the staff in placing the toilet paper roll into the covered receptacle to keep it clean was nearly nonexistent. It was all too often just placed atop the receptacle it was to be placed within. That exposure with each person grasping/lifting the entire roll & getting various forms of contaminations onto the sides of the toilet paper for future uses of same TP to potentially wipe the previous persons' contamination up to including blood onto their body in attempts to clean themselves prior leaving the RR & present spreading disease potential from such, not to mention overall risks of staff & customers this lack of sanitary TP presents as they wipe. I have pictures & videos of the electrical & ironically that Iphone that had much of my work & more on it...mysteriously got stolen & it is the woman that was aforementioned that began the instigation to Ralphs' employees who had been caught stealing from me previously. read more

RACIST WHITE OLDER CASHIER (maybe in here 40s or 50s) WITH BLACK HAIR YELLED OUT LOUD THAT I DON'T BELONG IN THE STORE WITH MY EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOG AND MY ASIAN FIANCÉ!. This is what happened today MAY 19th at 5:37pm. I came here with my fiancé to do some grocery shopping. This was our first time here. I had my emotional support dog with me in my arms while my fiancé was doing all the shopping. At the self check out the cashier older white woman with jet black hair was working the register the one right beside self checkout and she was more the 6 feet away from us. So, while she was assisting her customers she turns around and she yelled at the top of her lungs "HEY YOU, DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE THE STORE" with an rude attitude. I responded back and said: you should've mentioned that before I entered your store and besides you shouldn't call out someone if you don't even know if it's an assurance animal. Then the cashier turned her back at me and started to speak to her customer ( a random person) at the register loud enough so I can hear her and she said: "WHY DID SHE BRING THAT DOG AND THAT ASIAN GUY (referring to my Asian fiancé) HERE, SO WE CAN ALL GET SICK)!. Woooowww THE DISRESPECT!. You know what one of the managers did while she was standing there listening to everything.... THE MANAGER DID NOTHING TO FIX THIS PROBLEM!. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY!!.I have never been more disrespected in my life!!!. By the way I'm a white female and my fiancé is Asian but I will never tolerate any type of RACIST COMMENTS!!!. From now on, we will shop somewhere else's where there are no racist people. By the way, I reported this to the local news station, Kroger headquarters and I will publish all the information all over the social media so people know in advance what kind of treatment they are getting before they come to this store to spend their hard earned money just to be racially profiled, discriminated and disrespected!!!. read more

I do shop here all the time. Store is very clean and organized. I usually buy dairy products, vegetables, meat, eggs, baby products, fruits, water. Moving through the isle is easy and convenient. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. My son make a lot of noise almost all the time we are in the store. I keep on apologizing the staff. They are very kind. They keep on making me at eaze talking about their own experience with kids. Products are mostly fresh. I usually buy a lot of stuff from organic section. Its better to shop Monday through Wednesday I found it was always fresh on those days rather than the weekend sometimes you find all chosen stuff. Overall nice store. read more

COVID CESSPOOL. uptight morons won't mask or leave their nastiness hanging out of their mask. Checkers refuse to correct and instead yuk it up with the non masked nastiness. Confronted the checker and she said so? The police won't come but go ahead and complain and smile. No manager in sight and Ralph's needs to stop the farce with the recording for employees to clean their stations. They don't - it's white noise. Try looking around - the place doesn't even get a simple disinfectant. The COVID isn't going away but customers should move to another competition that actually tries their best to keep you safe. read more

I visited the bakery at this Aliso Ralph to buy a birthday cake for my wife. After choosing the cake I wanted, I found that no staff members were available to assist me. I was then directed to speak with the manager, Renee, who unfortunately declined to help, citing staff shortages. This lack of assistance was disappointing, and it would have been more helpful to either have staff available or post a sign indicating that the bakery was closed. I brought up this situation to the managers over there, along the fact how this person does not treat the customers with Middle Eastern or African American ethnicities with the same respect as customers with white ethnicities, but they have ignored this. read more

MOTHER'S has so many Specialty Snacks, Sauces, and Frozen Food Meals to choose from! They also have a nice Variety of Delicious & Nutritious prepared meals too! Which makes eating Healthy so Easy! MOTHER'S MARKET makes it a breeze to make good food choices to maintain a healthier lifestyle. And I Love to see their Grass Fed Meat & Sustainable Seafood Selections! To be expected, the aisles are narrow! And Sadly, there was too long of a line to check out their KITCHEN offerings, towards the back of the store, but I can't wait to go back and look and see! This MOTHER'S MARKET is located in a small strip mall/shopping center called the Monarch Beach Promenade and there is limited parking! The store hours currently are 7am to 9pm daily and I recommend you go during off hours because parking could be challenging!
