How is this grocery store location is still in business?! Incompetenceand poor service was the atmosphere at this location today. The deli can't even fill an adversed fried chicken order. The frontline deli staff, cannot even speak English. I don't care that they can't speak English, but why are they even put in that uncomfortable position? It's not their fault, it's bad management, and I felt bad for the staff for being put in that position. I had to resort to my broken Spanglish to be able to articulate a simple 12-piece order for fried chicken which was a total fiasco. Then they were unable to fill the order because they didn't have the containers, didn't have enough sides prepped, and no ability to price the order simple chicken combo as stated on the TV menu board. So I told the front end manager and he simply said, "oh the staff is new...). Finally, and the short cashier with the big eyelashes and bad attitude was just plain lazy and rude, demanding I empty the hand basket that contained only unlabeled containers from my fried chicken combo, and asking ME the price of a 12 combo. The usual west coast variation on Kroger, familiar brands, decent rewards program, unbelievable difference between staff wages and corporate, and some attempts to quickly pass on expiring items and slow selling brands. This Ralphs location looks old on the outside but it is super nice and clean in the inside. The store is much bigger when you step inside an it is very organized. I like Ralphs produce. Good quality. The grapes were huge and super sweet tonight so we grabbed two large bags on our way out with our groceries. They tasted like candy and I couldn't resist eating them while driving home. On vacation from a different state, never been to a raphls. At first we were just browsing then we got enough stuff we needed a cart. The carts are on the other side of an inside fence, to us it looked like the fence went around the whole store since they are at both entrances. We tried to grab a cart and bring it through the fence then an alarm goes off, Shannon comes says "do you like to hear that sound?" Thought she was making a joke. Then rolls her eyes and say "go around" doesn't show us how to go around didn't even know what she was talking about then walks away. It's your job to help customers, if I saw someone struggling even though I do not work at a grocery store you help your fellow human beings. Keep in mind this women is old, old enough to know kindness. We were in the store maybe 15 minutes the alarm went off multiple times, maybe put some carts behind the fence and teach Shannon how to be respectful to fellow human beings. read more

I come here pretty often, and sm reasonably happy with this store. Yes it is understaffed, and bit run-down and chaotic, but that is nothing unusual. What does annoy me and gets me to post a complaint is getting ripped off, even a little when buying meat. If a package says it has 16 ozs, it should contain at least 26 ozs, every time. The Meat Dept doesn't know how to cut a decent size steak. I'm so scared to go there now because all you have are homeless people all in the front of the store. The store Deli has out of codes. If you want a whole chicken for dinner don't stop here cause you won't get one. If you find one, it's all dried out and gross looking. Also, the managers upfront are so rude. Every time I go to Ralph's at Alicia Parkway and Paseo de Valencia, I experience the same problem with the baggers. They consistently do not put the flap down on my grocery boxes purchased from Ralph's, so the bottom is not stable. Every single time they put the bread under something heavy, so when I get home, my bread is squished. I went in on Saturday and asked them to Please be careful with my bread, and to put all of the frozen stuff in the same bag, the bagger took the bag, shoved it at me and said do it yourself. He then stood in The way so I was unable to bag my groceries, and yes, he put my bread under the bananas and 2 20 packs of flour tortillas. It doesn't matter if it's a teenager, or an elderly gentleman as it was on Saturday, do they even train baggers to sack up groceries? read more

Probably one of the worst locations I've been to when it comes to customer service, one of the cashiers told me she cannot help me pick up my Western Union because she said that none of them have the training for it, I just felt like she was lying because she doesn't want to actually go through the process, I'm not sure why they have a Western Union if they don't want to accommodate picking up or sending. On Feb 3, 2026, at this Ralph supermarket I was racist insulted by a Hispanic lady clerk, as I approached, and laid my groceries on the counter there was a price difference of a product, but you can tell, she really didn't know the cash register arrangement, I told her, that my Ralph app on my phone, I couldn't find the camera to scan the digital price on the app, so by this time, the crowd was lining up behind me, at this time she was getting fizzy, all I wanted was the Digital price of the product, at this moment, she seemed like she didn't even want to help me at this point, so she literally turned her head toward the crowd of customers, while I was standing there trying to get help from her. She told the customers, if I wasn't dealing with this, I would give all of you your groceries for free, in a ruled way, remember, every customer was white, I was the only black person in her line, which I had been shopping at for the past 18yrs, and she was a new clerk working there, and then, as I was leaving her counter, I forgot to get another product, but I didn't want her help again, so I was asking another person who worked there, who's been there for many years, she was very polite, and known me for years, I asked her to get a product in front of the store that was locked up, when she was getting the product, this rude azz Latino clerk, not minding her own business, shouted out to the other clerk, and told her to take the product to the self check out, embarrassing me in front of her customers, like if I was going to walk out of the store with the product, something I've been getting from here for years, like if I was going to steal it, that's when I snap, i went the f*** off, I will never step foot in that store ever again, you would think people would come together, because of what's going on in this world today, instead of chaos, I went to the manager and I apologize, I was very piss, it felt racist to me, the way I was being treated, yes!, I went the f^k off, I've always felt like family in the past, but not this day read more

Ralph's sold a $50 gift card that was worthless and refuse to make it right! This is THEFT and FRAUD!!! I was given a gift card for my birthday, one that an elderly friend in her 80s purchased at Ralph's on Alicia Parkway. When we took the card to Target to use it the manager told us it had been tampered with and was no good, worthless. I wasn't concerned because I had a receipt for the purchase. So I tried to return the card to Ralph's and I was told by their manager that they will not refund or issue a new replacement card. It is my bad luck! I have shopped here for over 30 years, and my friend, she has shopped there over 40 years. I now plan on never shop at Ralph's again. I spend hundreds there every week for over 30 years. Found a my new favorite grocery store not far from our place in Laguawoods Ralph's on paseo De Valencia. I have a few friends that shop there, they've brought it up many times to us. it's a little further than the Stater Brothers but well with the extra mile. The store has a extensive selection of so many more products in all departments not just your majors brands Wine and liquor is awesome sundries, grocery such a greater selection I'm sold on this place The Deli and bakery really stand out They also have a full pharmacy Fresh produce Meat department is very impressive Butchers are there for special cuts We signed up for a Ralph's card while cruising through the store good discounts with their card. Finally made it up the the checkout and Barbie took real good care of us helped with the card very friendly and fun. I grew up next to this Ralphs so have been here many, many, MANY times. I've always had good experiences but felt compelled to write a review because at a recent visit, the check out staff was SO incredible. Friendly, funny, and best of all, helpful - they told me about a deal on one of my items so I went back to grab another and it was basically free! Sometimes it's the little things that stick with you because every time I stop by now I think of that interaction. There is always plenty of parking, the shelves are well stocked, and, of course, great service! read more

Stopped in here today for some laundry detergent, and first thing we noticed was it is packed with items. The walkways are very tight, which discouraged you from looking around for other things needed. We were able to find the product we went in for quickly, and they had more than enough of all things in stock. There wasn't anything that made this store stand out unfortunately. I would go here for a quick pickup, but never for a full grocery load. They could definitely benefit from the expression less is more, because overwhelming the buyer with products simply made the store look sloppy-- just trying to help. read more

This Ralphs is where I do my regular shopping. For years I have been happy with their service, selection, and prices. So I was distressed this morning when I was ready to check out and the only place I could do so was the self-checkout. I don't work there, I don't want to take the job of someone who does, and unless you are going to give me an employee discount I'm not interested in doing this work myself. The lively woman who was monitoring the self-check kiosks was kind enough to scan my groceries ( how would I have known the codes for bananas or potatoes?) but I still had to bag them myself. Ralphs is a store where you can NOT trust any pricing. Most of the hyped items (usually designated with a huge red and yellow attention-getting sign) require the Ralph's app and, therefore, a huge amount of your personal information. Checkout without sharing your personal information and you could be charged, literally, about twice as much. Since there is usually only one live checker, you will probably use self-checkout, where you are even MORE likely to be paying more than the displayed price. This is a deplorable way to run a business. read more

My experience with Lesley was quite atrocious I must say. Rolling her eyes from the second we walked into the checkout line and not even saying hi. She avoided us by going to grab some cheese-it's in the line next to us. And then roughly threw our bag down which bruised the avocados I had bought. Overall awful attitude and horrible behavior. I would rate my service a 0/10 if I could but that's not an option. If I'm being quite frank it's embarrassing to the establishment to have her as an employee. read more

They had lots of sales and deals on this grocery trip for if you bought 5 of any one item. Chicken breasts were $4 per pound vs a pavilions right now is charging almost double. Horrible customer service experience! Had to go to get flowers for my Nieces graduation and there were no one at the floral dept to help. Asked cashier three times for help and each time they ignored me. Then I saw a lady coming inside store by entrance with Ralph uniform and I asked if she can help. She rudely looked at me and said NO I can't and left. I was completely shocked! Finally I saw same lady coming toward me from back room and getting close to my face saying because of you I was going to loose my job. I asked why she said because you asked me to help you. Then she start giving me hard time over putting ribbon on my flower. I told her I have my own in the car. Once I brought mine from car she was not willing to let me use the scissor she was holding or even cutting the ribbon I was holding in my hand. This lady Carroll looked very miserable at her job. People like her don't need to put others in hell to satisfy themselves! I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Disappointing first and last visit to this Ralph's location. Woman at the deli counter was extremely accommodating and friendly! Selection was good, pretty standard grocery store, so no complaints there. However, after my fiancée and I helped our cashier bag up $200 + worth of groceries, we checked our receipt and saw : 'POTENTIAL SAVINGS: $32.52.' Normally, before receiving payment, a cashier will ask for a store card, phone number, or even if the patron would like to use the store courtesy card. Sadly, that was not the case yesterday. We returned to our cashier, Ben, and asked if we could be refunded the difference. To his chagrin, he obliged and asked his I'm assuming manager for an override. He made us sign what looked like a log sheet for customers who have been charged too much, and refunded the savings difference into our card. We thanked him and headed towards the door, but under his breath we hear him say 'that's the discount you would have gotten if YOU DIDN'T FORGET TO SCAN YOUR CARD.' Totally unnecessary comment for an error that was on his behalf - do better, Ben. For your other customer's sake, because we won't be back to this Ralph's-ever. We'll stick to the Crown Valley location. read more

Tonight I stopped by to get treats for movie night and snagged some awesome clearance yogurt that are our favorites. Joann was my cashier and she definitely went the extra mile to bag my items to fit in one bag....I would have just thrown it in lol 4 bags later. Superstar Alert!! If you shop at the Ralph's store on 25539 Paseo de Valencia In Laguna Hills, you probably already know Carla and Lubana. Although they are my two favorite people that work there, everyone that works there is AMAZING! Everyone has been working long hours and is helping out wherever they are needed. They all have smiles on their faces and great attitudes all the time. I alway hear Carla encourage everyone who comes through her line and she always has a very positive and sweet way about her. I even hear her reciting of the customer's Ralph's card number because she has a lot of those numbers memorized. She cares to remember:-) I don't think I've met a more caring and loving individual. Lubana is always helping out in so many different departments and I even see her collecting all the carts....even when it's raining. She is super sweet and always has a smile on her face. She is an angel:-) This is one of my favorite places to shop because everyone is so supportive and they love their customers. I love my neighborhood Ralphs Supermarket BUT I have one complaint. I am a senior citizen and whenever I visit the store usually extremely early in the morning I have to check myself out!! This is extremely upsetting to me, because I am retired and don't work for Ralphs. I feel that the store should have at least one register open to accommodate those who do not want to check themselves out. I spoke with the store manager and she said she is only following directions from the corporate headquarters in which they can not open a register until after 7:00, even though I was thereafter 7:00 a.m. If your store is open please have a register open!
