Its the best ralphs for me at least.I can't stand the one in Overland Center. I know that they have more items available for customers and its never as packed as the other ralphs. The Ralph's is very convenient for me to go to since I live across the street. But the staff is meh, they don't seem to want to work and the store itself is very dated. This Ralph's is pretty big, but their section on frozen fruits is terrible, and it's actually cheaper to buy frozen organic strawberries at Wholefoods . It's almost always busy and the lines move very slowly even if it's not busy. There' s a Starbucks inside. The customer services is 50/50 some are super great and some are super rude. I give it two starts because every time I need to make a recipe and go to Ralph I always have to go to an other grocery store after because I never can get everything I need here and I leave frustrated. read more

First off this rating is for there Starbucks inside the store. The absolute worst!! They are always out of something daily they laugh at the register when they tell you there out. Some occasions I've been there at 6 am and no one shows up till 20 min later. This location must not be managed . I shopped on Friday and didn't realize I lost my ATM till Monday. I called the store and they politely asked me what the name on the card was and told me I can come in to pick it up. They went above and beyond. Praise Jesus! The meat department is also very friendly and helpful. The stock guys are willing to grab something for me from the back and invite me to grab from the rack they are loading from. Awesome all around! read more

This is our local grocery store. It beats the Ralph's by where we used to live in the Fairfax hands down and might be my favorite grocery store ever. We love the loyalty card price savings, like the checkout staff, and have had no complaints or concerns, ever. Except for one, I guess: cart shortages. For awhile, cart thieves depleted their stock of usable carts, but that hasn't been an issue lately. I highly recommend this grocery store. Hooray for Ralph's! read more

I always go to ralphs for their prices ans good produce section. I never have a hard time cuz of the times o come to the store amd the staff is always friendly but there is one particular young man named Kenneth. Hes really great. this review is all about the day-old bread rack, located straight to the back of the store between the dairy case and the meat case. if you can get there in the morning, it's usually piled high with amazing deals; all bread & pastries on it are half-off, at least. i've never gotten anything that isn't still fresh; stock up and freeze a few loaves for later. this is a great way to get those delicious artisan breads for an affordable price! as for the rest of the store, service is usually cheerful and friendly, and selection for most grocery staples is great. produce prices can be hit or miss, but deals are usually there if you look. plus-- the parking here is plentiful, easy, and not the freakish zoo that is the Ralphs at the Overland Center. do yourself a favour and drive a few extra minutes here. you won't regret it. read more

I am giving this Ralphs a 5 star in comparison with the Ralphs on National/Sawtelle, the Vons on Centinela, and the Whole Foods on Sawtelle. I know, it's not quite in the same neighborhood but it's worth my time to drive out there. I feel like this Ralphs has great offerings to families who like to eat healthy, organic foods and use healthy, organic products without breaking the bank but who aren't in need of shopping at a brand name store. Here are the highlights! - Plenty of parking - Very fresh produce and meat, at very reasonable if not comparatively cheap prices. I went there Mon and Tues and everything is totally in stock and beautifully arranged. - Great selection of organic foods (unlike Whole Foods where things are hit or miss, and you can find moldy or over-ripe, over priced items). - Great selection of household items, even some items you cannot find at Target such as stone cleaners and natural cleaners. Competitive prices on these as well. - Great selection of organic / natural soaps, toiletries at decent prices, probably lower than at specialty stores. Really spectacular organization of OTC pharmacy items out front. - Wide selection of bread, from name brands to specialty items (like a flax seed flatbread which I now use instead of the Whole Foods lavash). - The cashiers are fast and helpful. No dawdling. I looked confused and somebody asked me what I needed - and they told me the Aisle number right away. The cashier even caught that I had picked up a leaky container of yogurt and offered to replace it for me. Really sharp! I am seriously in love with this Ralphs. Sounds lame but it's true. I don't usually buy pre made food items or pastries so I can't comment on that. read more

being fairly new to LA, i have tried several grocery stores to find a decent one. i do really like this ralphs because it is large, the staff is really friendly and it is a block away from target :) their produce and organic section is very impressive. just make sure to stock up when things are on sale... for example, my family loves Orowheat bread...regular price is like $5 a loaf, but whenever it is on sale it's only $2-$2.50 with a ralphs card. plus we drive an SUV that gets nonawesome gas mileage, but we use our ralphs card at the shell stations too and save a bit of money and earn more points. so far, of all the grocery stores in the 5 mile radius of century city, it's my first choice! read more

Ralphs has definitely been on the mend and has dramatically improved since my last review. I will now be shopping exclusively at Ralphs and Sprouts and will avoid Pavilions, Culver City like the plague. The folks at Ralphs are much friendlier and helpful, cleanliness has improved, they are improving their organic section, their stock has improved, and the vegetables and fruits are much fresher now. This use to be my favorite grocery store. I cook a lot, I cater events and sell meal plans. I use to go to this Ralph's several times a week for all my cooking needs. Sadly I don't go here anymore because the cashier Rolando threatened my 6 year old that he would hit him for touching the coin dispenser. This was after Rolando held up the line for almost 5 mins to interrogate a woman making an exchange. I called the store and spoke to manager Dora and I also told her that he didn't charge me for toilet paper on the bottom of my cart and that I didn't go back in to pay cause I didn't want to deal with him but that I'd be back later to pay for it. Mind you i decided all on my own to be upfront about this. Dora was in not way concerned about my 6 year old being threatened by an employee, she did not apologize at all. All she cared about was when I would come in to pay the $4 for the toilet paper. Mind you, she never would have known if I didn't decide to be the honest person I am and tell her. Dora kept trying to make me schedule a time to come n pay $4 (helllo people don't steal and call n tell you) I was being honest and I fully intended to pay the $4 however I don't schedule my shopping. It ended with the manager Dora failing to rectify or even show concern about this situation and only made me more upset about the whole thing. read more

So, in reality, this Ralphs which recently remodeled to a FRESH FARE, is more like a 4, BUT I'm going all in because they have 6 self check out stands, count 'em 6!!!!!!!. I don't know about you, but more often then not I'm running into the grocery for milk, or eggs, or some vegetables or BBQ sauce like yesterday and I swear, I'm in and out in less than 5 minutes. Seriously, I test this almost daily. I had been going to the market 1/2 mile away(starts with a P, and yes they will be getting a review as well) for forever until they took out their self checkout and replaced with the traditional 15 items or less fast checkout. The lines have gotten longer and I swear those fast checkout lanes are never open, if they are EVERYONE has at least 15 items. We begged this store to put back the self checkout and blah, blah,blah with excuses. So now we spend most of our time at this new Ralphs Fresh Fare! It's faster, and they have a decent selection of Organic items and the fresh produce seems really fresh. Even their Organic 1/2 and 1/2 is less expensive than down the street. I'm a believer. There. While this Ralph's is maybe the best IN Culver City, I'd still rather drive to Marina Del Rey. That one at 4700 Admiralty Wy is WAY better than ANY grocery store in Culver City. The difference just one city over is like night & day. EVERYTHING is better quality & in better stock. read more

Luckily there are lots of other grocers (and even other Ralphs) within a few miles, because this one is the worst! They have a limited selection and the employees are the slowest moving, least helpful of any grocery store in the area. They are annoyed if you ask them for help finding something and offer no help. You can tell it is very poorly managed. I rarely stop by here because it's never a good experience. read more

This isn't much of a review on the store itself. More of the cashiers. Everytime I go in I'm greated which I enjoy but I notice it's only by the self check out people. One day I went in there feeling a little down buying my normal groceries. The self check out girl Kirsten J was doing her job and asked me what was wrong. I explained to her I was having a crappy day. She looked me dead in the eyes and told me I shouldn't be because today was a nice day. I smiled. After that encounter now when ever I go in to shop, I always ask for her or go to her line. When she sees me she always greets me and makes sure I'm having a good day or not.she still continues to do an excellent job at checking out people fast but also makes sure that everyone including myself is having a good day. One day in particular I went in I seen she wasn't having a good day. I knew she was working but I still wanted to make sure she was okay.she told me "everything is fine just an off day tis all."I smiled at her and told her to have a awesome day and don't let anything get her down. This store needs more cashiers like herself. She not only does her job excellent bit makes sure that everyone is doing good. I was a manager at a gas station every customer I always asked how their day was going. While checking them out if it wasn't so good within a couple minutes time frame I would try and make it better. Even just "you have an awesome day "with a smile sometimes lifts people's spirits. She lifted mine that day and she's the reason I come to shop there honestly. That woman deserves a raise. She's a true spirited woman which the world needs more of. You will continue to see me in there shopping because of her. I just want the management and world to know how amazing she is. read more

I don't have any issues with the food but more with how this Ralph's tends to have something invariably breakdown around the holidays which requires the store to 'close early'. Been going here 3 years. Today was the topper and really quite funny! The security guard was blocking the entry to the Ralph's yelling into the parking lot that they were closed citing "electrical problems with the register". Meanwhile, the whole store was lit up like a Christmas tree and the automatic doors had no problems-hence his blocking the way. So here is the annoying bit- 1) if you want to close the store early and still want to get paid work it out with your manager. I don't mind if you close early then, but, 2) if you choose to close, come up with a better solution so you don't sound shady and completely questionable on an annual basis and, 3) if you are lying, be gracious and don't yell at your customers! Marketing 101! Don't yell at people that get you paid. Oh well! Merry Christmas Ralph's! Pavilions down the street is better to their customers thankfully. read more

Not a bad store and most of the staff is friendly. One annoying feature of this store is that the price scanner at the back of the store by the frozen food does not work. The price scanner has not been working for at least 6 months. I once told the store manager about the broken scanner, however it has still not been fixed. read more

This is the first review I write for a grocery store, but I must admit when I judge a store that is not a restaurant I judge: cleanliness, ease of finding items, parking, and helpfulness of staff. The parking is pretty easy. This specific location is part of a strip mall where there are various other establishments so parking is quite abundant. I usually head over here during lunch to get a sandwich from the deli department. The people that work in that department are pretty nice. Sometimes you might get someone that doesn't have the best attitude or isn't the most talkative, but they were never disrespectful to me. The store overall is very clean and organized. You can find everything you're going to need easily and the prices aren't bad. The pharmacy is great and never packed so you don't have to worry about waiting a long time just to drop your prescription off. I always do self checkout so lines aren't really a problem. I've recently moved offices so I can no longer go to this Ralph's but I will say it was a pleasure and please keep up the good work. read more

Yesterday, it's phone connection bogged down and nobody was there at past 4 p.m. One thing more. It doesn't carry T-Mobile refill phone cards amounting to $10, too. This is a review for the pharmacy. It is AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL - and DANGEROUS. I had an animal bite that was infected - went to urgent care. They called in the prescription to this store because it was near my home. BIG mistake. They say they are open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. I get there at 9:30 a.m. - no pharmacist, store doesn't know where they are, doesn't know how to reach them, can't help me. By 11:30 - STILL no pharmacist. But my prescriptions are in there and waiting for me. Another Ralphs can't fill them. I try calling Ralph's corporate office and I'm on hold for 30 minutes - nobody will talk to me. I finally talk to another Ralph's pharmacy in Marina Del Rey who manages to reach a district supervisor who agrees to get someone there. Meanwhile, my hand is getting worse by the minute. I can't even imagine if this was someone who needed meds for a seizure disorder or something of that nature. THIS IS INSANE. A pharmacy that pretends to be there but who knows if anyone will actually show up to run it!!! I've seen other reviews here that indicate the pharmacy is terrible. THEY ARE RIGHT. If you have a prescription here CHANGE IT to a normal reputable pharmacy. This is a JOKE. And just AWFUL. I'm not even going to shop at the store anymore based on this awful experience.
