Ralph, where have you been all my life? You were always right there! I have to admit, I've driven past you often, never giving you the time of day. Why have I deprived myself?? I finally caved in and visited for the first time the other day, and there's no looking back now! I am a fan and will most definitely be back! This shop is much smaller than it looks from the outside but wow, do they offer lots and lots of different types of ices/soft serve ice cream; and there are sooooo many interesting flavors, too! I have to admit, I was overwhelmed and had to take a step back to peruse their huge menu. You're allowed to sample 2-3 flavors (I think). I didn't sample any flavors that day but just dived in and ordered three pints (@ $7.25 each) to go. I originally wanted to try their TWISTERS (any flavored ice, layered between soft serve), but their soft serve machine was out of order at the time...looking forward to trying these next time! These are the 3 pints I ordered on this visit: - Key Lime Pie Creme Ice (Flavor of the week): Wowza, this was terrific! Sour yet sweet; so tangy! And the best part is, there are bits of graham cracker crust mixed in! - Cappuccino Creme Ice (no sugar added): Another great flavor. How did they make this?!?! Considering that there are no added sugar, it was still sweet! So good. - Watermelon water ice: Classic flavor, and among the best I've had. Delicious! Worst service, rude and clueless teenagers the adult manager is completely idiotic. Oh and the freezer at the front don't look down!!! It's disgusting! I don't believe they clean it daily! I'll never return. They have flavors with nuts that they don't tell you about that isn't in the name they gave my hubby an allergic reaction. The response from the teen oh really he's allergic with a shrug and the manager even worse. He said and I "quote" we too busy to tell customers what has nuts in it. I'm so happy to have found this Ralph's location. It's a small store but the few times I've stopped by during this pandemic have been wonderful. They have been taking orders over the phone for quick pick up with is awesome. When one of my best friends from out of town was crashing the night at my place, I knew I had to take her to Ralph's to become envious that I live so close-by to this mouth-watering mini-franchise, and she lives too far. I love every flavor I've ever ordered. I am a bit dismayed at watching their prices jump every year. I have been trying to try every flavor lately wear before I had my staple flavors like the Graham cracker, rainbow cookie, cotton candy and java chip. Most of my favorites are the creme ice's. I have had a bunch of other flavors which are all good also. Only thing I have not really enjoyed and it's not because of flavor but because of the consisitancy is there milkshakes. How has Ralphs never been reviewed?! This NY/NJ ices chain is something that I ALWAYS look forward to going home for. Usually get a medium with a scoop of peanut butter (or peanut butter cookie dough if I'm feeling feisty), a scoop of graham cracker crunch (a flavor they added one or two Summers ago. I don't even like graham crackers, but this flavor is amazing! And has fantastic pieces of graham cracker struessel in it) and a scoop of vanilla reeses. Prices are very reasonable and their shakes are decadent, but delicious! I could eat this several times a week. Who am I kidding. Several times a day. read more

You know spring is here when Ralph's is open! I am so happy that Ralph's season has started again. Each year, they come out with newer and better flavors. I usually stick with the coffee-based cream ices (mocha chip is my favorite!) and get another one to accompany. You can get two flavors in the small. Mint Cookie Crumb is also a favorite (in terms of cream ices). I recently tried their Cookie Monster Ice Cream (it's blue just like Cookie Monster himself). I think I'm going to have to go back here just for that alone. I'm a Ralph's regular as it is. Going to be trying lots of flavors I hope in the next few months. So sad that they do not have one close by to me in the city. Prices are reasonable, and if you're visiting Long Island, you have to go! I have to say..... I am very impressed. My husband and I went last night (a Saturday night) and they were crazy busy! However the employees were so fast and super friendly.
