Drunk cops were allowed to cut the line and were allowed to cut my pregnant wife, so that sucked. The original and the best....hands down....no debate. This location in Port Richmond is the original.....store number 1 and it has the freshest ices.....no stale Spumoni is ever served here! The Peanut Butter & Jelly Creme Ices here are one of the greatest frozen desserts ever created. Ever. I used to go to Ralph's back in the day when there was only like one in some random place in Long Island that I forget and one in Forest Hills, which I used to hit up semi-daily for a pint of that good stuff. Seriously, a pint in one sitting. After coming to one for the first time years later, I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is an even huger menu of every possible flavor imaginable now, both of the icy and creamy variety (I don't mess with that icy nonsense though). Not only are the creme ices so good they make you forget about wanting to eat ice cream, but they give you an insanely huge portion for a ridiculously cheap price. Never one to a order a small (which is just $2), I opted for a medium (just $2.50), and it was HUGE. Even I would have been fine with just a small. They are super generous with the amount of ices they stick in that cup. Come to Ralph's if you want the best tasting, most satisfying and most economical dessert you can hope for. read more

Great little stop on a hot day while passing through Staten Island. We hit up this original location of the family owned chain (since 1928) for some delicious water ice and cream ices to cool us down. They also make tempting sundaes and ice cream too. There's such a wonderful, vast variety of flavors to chose from, 150 flavors to be exact. (I heard this location offers more flavors than others). It's really difficult to decide just what to get. Luckily you can fit two flavors into their rather large small size for just over 2 bucks! I tasted pink lemonade, pineapple, Malibu Bay Breeze and strawberry margarita ice. The latter was my personal fave. It was tart and sweet, and gave the impression it was rimmed with salt :) I'm from Philly, and most recently South Philly, so I'm a tad, ok, VERY picky about my water ice, and I definitely gave this spot the thumbs up. Great consistency and awesome flavor! Very homemade tasting! The line moved swiftly midday, and for those passing through en route elsewhere, just a heads up, this spot is just a window, there's no restroom. Oh, and it's cash only! All you Instagrammers, don't forget your pic across the street at the water ice themed colorful mural! Happy to have finally checked it off the ole bookmark list and saw how easy it is to stop here! We stopped by this Italian ice place on a Saturday night before heading home to Brooklyn. They open late until 11pm so it was still open at 10:30pm when we got there. They have 70 flavors and you can get ice cream, creme ice, or water ice (dairy free). I decided to get a medium mango and passion fruit water ice ($3.25). You can get two flavors even if you order a small size. It was larger than I expected. I could've gotten a small size and it would be enough. It was refreshing and hit the spot on a hot summer day. Ralph's ice establishment has been around since I'm a young boy. I lived in the neighborhood in Port Richmond 3 blocks from Ralph's. I remember when they had 2 flavor ices Orange and lemon .25 &. 50 cents and times have changed & varieties of different ice cream's. I remember Mr. Ralph he was a good man old school , as time went on there were cherry ices and on occasions they would be chocolate ices which everybody & including my mom used to go crazy about the chocolate.
