Now most who go to the various grocery stores around the greater LA area will pretty much come to one conclusion: if you've been to one Ralph's you've pretty much been to them all. In some respects, I wouldn't contest that and for the most part say it's true. After all, most have the majority of the product that you're looking for. With many don't have are the newly infused level of customer service that I'm starting to see here! The CSA (CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL STAR) of this experience was George-pictured. I myself am up for minimally-infused stenosis surgery soon. With any luck I'll get that operation in the next month or two. Till then, I've got a bum back, and can use all the help I can get. Add that to the fact that I came with an elderly member of the family, and that's when we were blessed with the arrival of George. Because I work in the area on Fridays, I usually do my grocery shopping here at this location whether I'm on break or after I get off. I tend to find myself going at the right times, when they're stocking around the store. So they usually have everything I need when I'm shopping. The store is always neat, clean and organized. I never see any expired items on the shelves. Lines can get long tho during certain times of the day. It's normally about 3 registers open with 2 self checkout lanes as well. The fried catfish nuggets are fire. I only go on Fridays to get them. Yesterday, they were on sale for $4.99/lb. The guys back there working are real cool and do their best to fry and get all orders out as soon as possible. The earlier the better. Customer service is usually on point everywhere in store. However, I did have an incident about a month or so ago where I was accused of not paying for my nuggets as I walked thru the self checkout line on my way to walking out the store. I was very displeased and upset especially since I had previously paid for my order at a register prior to going back to pick up my food from the seafood section. Mind you, I was in my security uniform and I know the security officers working the store lol. Furthermore, I was on camera the whole time. The security officers felt embarrassed that they even had to stop me to say anything cuz they awready know how I move. Anyways lol I got a chance to express how I felt about the situation with a manager that was on duty. Never received an apology from my accuser but I'm sure she got my message. read more

This is my go to Ralphs. Came in again and it reminded me why I keep coming back. They have a lot of good options, especially when you start looking at the different sauces. Whether it is Asian, Mexican, or other styles, there are plenty of choices to work with for cooking at home. Store is clean, easy to get around, and I can usually find what I need without a problem. Wow. I just left this store. They have an EXTREMELY antagonistic security guard working there. Harassing a woman who was allegedly banned from the store from stealing the day prior. He wouldn't let her purchase a $6.49 chocolate cake with her child. He said she was banned from the store and not allowed to purchase anything. It's around 10:30 at night mind you. He was blocking the key pad with his body and cancelling her transactions at self checkout. None of the actual Ralph's staff stepped in and corroborated the story of this alleged theft or asked her to leave as far as I'm aware. The security kept saying "it's on camera", but he showed no evidence. She kept asking for a manager and none of the staff would help because the manager was apparently on his lunch. They went back and forth for a while when a couple who had recently checked out came attempting to deescalate. They would purchase the cake for the woman. When the woman in the couple scanned the cake and put it on the conveyor belt, the security guard forcibly maneuvered himself between her and the cake. So now, a couple who had nothing to do with the woman is also banned from purchasing the cake. The $6.49 cake. At this point the man in the couple becomes irate because the security guard imposed his body in a physically threatening manner on the woman he was with. Over a $6.49 cake. Now everyone is going back and forth. At this point I step in because the security guard is harassing a number of people and a child over a cake. I ask employees where the manager is at, and they say he's on lunch. I ask if they can do anything about security's behavior to which they say no. Security at this point is calling the cops. So I try to calm the couple down who was being antagonized by the security guard. Then I ask the security guard why the couple who had no involvement with the initial woman cannot buy the cake. They are trying to get this woman and her child out of this argument and the store. He says because the cake is his now. What? He says the cake is "evidence". Now multiple people are asking for his badge number, which he allegedly doesn't have. And he won't give his name either. I ask him why he had to physically impose himself and threateningly maneuver in front of the woman who was in the couple to grab the cake from the conveyor belt. He says he didn't.' I say I saw you and he says it's all on camera. Exactly, I say. Now he starts antagonizing me, asking me if I'm the conveyor belt. Huh? It was extremely inappropriate behavior from a security guard over a $6.49 cake. I know that was the price because I used the self checkout machine after the first woman, and her voided cake receipt was attached to mine. It also is important to note this was a non black man antagonizing a bunch of black PAYING customers in a store in a black neighborhood. I will be contacting the manager, because no person should be bullied by a no name, no badge contracted (I presume) security guard who feels he has unilateral ability to ban a woman trying to purchase at $6.49 cake with her child from a grocery store. New guy working the fish department needs better training. If you're not used to fast paced environments, you need to sit back and stock. Messed up my whole freaking order after waiting 20+ mins. Today was very interesting when I came into the Ralph's today in Inglewood today for lunch I have a fish order to pick up at 12:30 I clocked out at 12:31 I get there and i literally walked up the the counter with the receipt in hand to retrieve my order not once was I acknowledge not once was I asked what I was there for or anything. Both of the guys looked at me dead in my eyes and kept walking so I go to the front and ask the staff is there somebody else that can help me they called over an intercom and told him customer service I walked back over there. It's a short Hispanic guy in a black hoodie talking mess talking about why they just can't wait. They should just wait so once he looked at me, I looked at him and told him I've been waiting like I see my food sitting right there behind you when it was just simple for somebody to just grab the bag and hand it off to me. I gave him the receipt showing what I was picking up then he goes to tell me oh I had to check it to make sure that it was your order because if I would've gave you something else, you would've been mad first off how you know how I would've reacted to. I see my food sitting there and all I wanted to do was just grabbing and go. I will never go to our Ralphs again. So rude but for him and the black guy to talk shit because I wanted my order and then say I should of waited when the order was put in at 11 so what was I really waiting for when my order was sitting there they really need to have better attitude and patience with people period other then that fish nuggets were so good to bad I will not go there again because I don't wanna run into the same people again read more

I came here to make a return. I walked in and asked a woman in self-checkout where should I go to make a return for a purchase I made a week prior WITH a receipt. She informed me that I could go to any check out lane I preferred to but made sure to let me know that checkout 10 was where the manager was. I saw a familiar face (Shaun) so I proceeded to go to his line, it was also a little shorter than the others. I waited a few minutes and when it was my turn I greeted him by name and thought it would go smoothly. Once I told him I was making a return, he demanded that I go to lane 10. I informed him what I was told, that it could be any lane. (I had already waited) he didn't offer an explanation as to why he sent me off rudely and I was in disbelief because I specifically chose his lane as I recognized him from a previous time at the store and we made small talk. I also watched him interact normally with the previous customer before me. It was disappointing to have had this experience. I'm not sure if he isn't well trained on the procedure because I can't think of any other reason why I was treated that way. Prior to coming I checked the Ralph's return policy online. I wouldn't have come if I had been ineligible. However, when I went to lane 10 the manager Michael did reassure me that I was informed correctly of the return process. He had a calm demeanor and handled the return for me. Hopefully Shaun handles matters better in the future, it's the principle. I didn't get disrespectful with him at all but I did show confusion for his unprofessionalism. Funny thing is - I saw him talking about me to the next customer & he walked over to lane 10 to get something from the manager because he needed to check the customers ID but didn't send them over. For the last couple of months, my favorite all-time fish Dept that indicates that they serve wild fish has been tasting like farm raise very rubbery on Friday I requested $40 of wild fish V staff member who is usually so great was working by himself but he cut my fish up and nuggets It taste horrible was the worst ever and had a file smell to it I returned. It was very disappointed in that I had spent $46 paid cash for it returned it and they only gave me a credit on their credit card which I believe is illegal. Poor customer service in addition to I purchased some flowers on sale. They charge me the full price now I have to go back and return with my receipt overcharging me for two items although I came to return the items the fish and the manager on at the time Isaiah was very nice and helpful but again I was not refunded fairly. I shop here all the time. There's good employees and not so good. There are never any baggers and the cashiers will not bag your items until you pay. I will bag my items to help out but when I go to pay the cashiers will just stand there and won't finish bagging. When i get my receipt they push the rest of my stuff and move on to the next . I feel the manager needs to retrain their team on customer service most of them doesn't seem they want to be there understandable but they are hired for customer service so that's what they need to give . read more

This is one of the largest Ralph's in the area. I love that that there are two areas for self checkout. I stop in here on my lunch and I wish not to spend my lunch in long lines. This store also has been reorganized. The isles seem to be a little tighter with this reorganization of the store. The deli is fast and has fresh food. This store is clean and stocked with fresh food. This location will fry your seafood if you wish. The employees are helpful. The price are reasonable but the great savings come when you use your rewards card. Those points can be redeemed at a local Shell gas station or a Ralph's gas station. The app is a great way to purchase your groceries and have it ready when you arrive to the store. This is my morning Starbucks. You can order via the Starbucks app and your order is ready when you arrive. read more

I always seem to have a weird experience at this location. I think it's extremely weird that you have employees standing around doing nothing but they refuse to help you out. For example tonight there was 1 line open, lots of people and I wanted to get something out of the alcohol case. I understand the protocol but it's so weird that your employees can't even grab something for you and bring it to the register. This place deserves higher ratings but people aren't inclined to leave positive reviews as much as negative unfortunately. However, I've been going here for years and the staff has always been very kind. There was one worker who was weird and harassed my roommates and I but he stopped working soon after. Some selections of meat and produce aren't the greatest, but that is the fault of food deserts, not this store. All things considered this is a nice local grocery store with friendly workers.
