Zero stars for management. Been going here weekly for six years because it's convenient, and I've observed the manager 'Major'. His dislike of certain people is on full display every single time. He's intimidating, rude, and disrespectful if you don't have a similar skin tone as his. IYKYK. Finally have had enough last week when I had to return a bottle of Kroger apple juice that tasted like mold. It was like I was returning $100k worth of product the way he unhappily dealt with me with more grunts and side eye than words, making it clear he thought I was lying. However he will practically bring the place to a standstill to bs with customers he likes. Wow so suprised this location has such low reviews. I always find everything I need when I go. Mario in the meat department is the best and never forgets to greet me or let me know to have a good day. But today my review was actually for Gilver. She is always so helpful and goes the extra mile. I basically come in everyday because I am a Chef providing meals for locals. Wow - I was surprised to read some of the bad reviews, since I've never had an experience close to that in all the countless times I've come here. Meat selection: Much better than at the Ralph's on LA Area and Centinela (and that's a much bigger store). Deli selection: Good. I keep going back for Their turkey. Their cheeses and deli meats are also good, plus they have that deal, might be over now...where one can get a whole roasted chicken with trimmings for only $8 or $9. And not only this location, but why is produce always so damn expensive at Ralph's?? Beer, too - almost always more than Rite Aid, CVS, etc....Ralph's charges $16 for exactly what Rite Aid charges $11 for. Are they high?? The staff there is nice; they know their regulars. I had vowed not to visit this location again after my last visit and unprofessional encounter with an employee named Lyricc, but at the same time Gardena was to far at the moment so i had no choice. I wasn't going to check into yelp initially because of the last experience. I ordered my groceries for pick and as usual i called on arrival. I got the store's answering machine. I started to get flustered but notice the number that was posted on the sign in the pickup stall. I noticed that the number that is provided in the text message reminder was different from the number on the sign. So i decided to call that number instead and a beautiful yet very professional voice answered. It was a young lady by the name of Evelyn. She was very efficient in handling my call. She asked what was the make of my vehicle and what pickup stall number i was in. Now that's the way it should be done!!!! She came out in a timely fashion with the groceries. I asked her why the numbers provided to call on arrival were different and she explained that both numbers has been in use during the pandemic. She explained that this location normally would get about 15 pickup orders daily but since the pandemic, that number has risen to 100+. That made everything make sense and i started to grow in appreciation again for their service. Evelyn was very knowledgeable about the service and i appreciate management for having someone like her to handle that aspect of the business. read more

Visit the MB location for a better experience if you enjoy dealing with professional employees that are not lazy, with nasty attitudes about having to work. Do better. I love shopping at Ralph's because of their clearance section, manager's specials and excellent service. You never know what you will find on clearance here, it's always so random and goes beyond food, always worth checking out. Lines can be long, but they are usually good about having several registers open so the wait is not too long. Regular prices are a bit high, but if you shop sales only, it's on par with other stores. Great store, very clean and plenty of easy parking. read more

There's no grocery store better for one stop shop and low prices. I mean Whole Foods is great as well but that always hit my pockets. My favorite thing about Ralph's is the weekly sales that start every Tuesday. I always stack up on my meats and water, as the veggies and fruits are always on rewards prices. read more

I don't know why I continue to shop here? There's potential, but it's like staff aren't up to the task. Their grocery carts are all over the place, and the store always looks like it's in disarray. Most recently I aprended a purse snatcher. I caught him in mid act trying to steal my purse from my cart. This guy tried to play it off and say that he was just looking at my flowers, but he had his whole ass hand in my cart and was my moving my flowers to get to my bag. Sad part was I was stand right next to him and I guess he thought I wasn't gonna notice him? Anyway, I notified the first staff I saw and all this guy said was "are you serious?" he then proceeded to walk away. He didn't call security or get more info, he just walked away. I like this store, first off. The workers are, for the most part, friendly and helpful. I shop here often, so I know the aisles. Sadly, on Saturday November 27th, around 9:30 AM, I discovered not every employee is intelligent. In the pictures I've attached, you can see this worker blocking the entire aisle as he stacks a shelf. First off, that's not my typical experience. The shelf stockers have generally been helpful to customers if they're equipment is in the way. But this fella decided he wasn't going to move, refuse to acknowledge customers and just blocked everybody's path. When I kindly asked him to move, he grunts 'just wait a minute.' Then he proceeds to stacking whatever he was stacking. Another employee yelled out to him from down the aisle (who I suspect was watching security cameras) something inaudible. Then, and only then, did this guy push his cart clear so customers could barely get by. I found his behavior to be rude, disrespectful, and not a representation of the hardworking people I've dealt with at the store. Maybe some better training is needed, maybe he needs a demotion. But, please keep individuals like this away from the general public. He's beneath us. read more

I love this Ralph's because of the location and I've lived in Inglewood all my life so this Ralph's has always been my favorite market up until yesterday. My girlfriend and I was headed out to a festival on Saturday 6/29 and I ordered a chicken salad from the deli department. Just when we were about to dig into the salad there was something that looked blue!!! I immediately thought that this salad should have bell peppers, onions, and carrots not a blue color in it!!!! Needless to say what ended in our salad was a rubber band!!!! That ruined our day because we didn't have anything else to eat other than crackers and cheese. At the end of our event we took the salad back and they gave me a refund! There definitely is an unsanitary problem going on in the deli department and I will never order from the deli again!!! read more

This is my neighborhood Ralph's and it used to be GREAT. In the last two years it has gone down considerably. The lines are LONG the produce is sparse and the shelves are poorly stocked. It's upsetting because the landscape of the neighborhood is mostly black and brown, so I can not help but wonder if corporate " conveniently" mismanages this location because they think we won't notice. It's our closest store besides Trader Joe's. So we go back and forth depending on who's have a sale. The parking lot is a mess. So hard to find an open spot. Usually have to walk out of the way to get a cart but thankfully they have wipes to clean them. The one thing I HATE about this place is the entrance. We are NOT in Disneyland, we do not need a turnstile. Let people come in and out freely. Half the time my purse gets caught, there's a line to get in, it's blocked. We hate it. And if this place ever catches on fire? We are all dead. But it's clean, big selection, decent prices if you have a card. Fresh produce and other items. Bakery, deli, etc. And there's machines for lotto, red box, Starbucks, and coin star. the checkout lines are always impossibly long. Why do they only have four lines open but two are 15 items or less? So those of us doing our shopping for the week end up waiting quite some time to check out. This is the closest Ralphs location to me and it's a pretty nice store in a newer plaza. Parking is easy and plentiful in the giant parking lot, and I like that I can also do my CVS shopping in the same trip since that's also in this plaza. The store itself is large and easy to get around. It's pretty well-stocked and has a decent variety of products and brands. My only wish is that they had a bigger, better selection of produce...I'd like to see more organic stuff in there. Friendly staff. read more

Starting with the Service Deli Richard and Melanie's customer service well they have always gone above and beyond and it's very much appreciated. The Bakery same can be said for JoAnna, Michelle Chadie bakery items are always fresh like the cookies and they also have always been ready to help. Their is a Starbucks in here and let's just say I prefer coming to this one rather than the other one across the way. Again, its the customer that keeps me coming And finally the rest of the check out crew, Stella A, Gilver, and Phillies I'm not a patient W-2 man but I'll wait wait it out because their worth the wait. What do they all have in common? Management Andy is a very hands on customer service/type of manager and it reflects with the rest individual department managers. This is in the Ladera center and I've gone to this location for decades. The big black guy, MAJOR, is the manager I believe. Major is unprofessional and not friendly! He doesn't make you feel welcome and he looks like he is never in the mood to help anyone. I cordially said hello to him one day, and he glared at me and walked off. I've had a few other acquaintances who had issues with him in the past as well. He looks like he handles the behind the scenes work seriously, but when dealing directly with customers, proper customer service training would be great for Major. You would expect Major to be the best example at the store considering he's worked there for years and is supposedly a "higher-up" position, but he is not. Another issue is that they don't have clear signs that customers are not allowed to purchase alcohol at the self-checkout. I guess it's a known thing by word-of-mouth, but there are only tiny labels on each checkout machine that you don't see until you are standing directly at the machine. I mention this because I spoke with an elderly woman in the store who said she waited in the self-checkout line for 20 minutes to purchase alcohol on a busy day. She was not aware of the policy. Finally, an employee told her when she got to the front that she couldn't purchase alcohol there. She made her go to a regular checkout lane, but told her she must go to the back of the line! She had to wait another 20 minutes to make her purchase! They should have accommodated her after her long wait by allowing her to purchase her items at a regular checkout stand, but without having to go to the end of another line. She was so frustrated she was almost in tears. I felt sorry for her that they handled her situation so horribly. I also had to write to corporate because multiple employees were not wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope this store makes improvements and takes the many dissatisfied complaints on Yelp seriously. On a positive note, there are two cashiers named Danny who are both professional and friendly. read more

But the young lady whom answered the phone when I called this morning asking for the manager could have sounded and been more friendly. No complaint. Just an observation. This Ralph's is n my community. I'm literally less than 3 minutes away from it. Ive stopped shopping here due to poor customer service and lack of merchandise. Considering that this Ralph's is in an affluent area. You would think it would have been stocked with merchandise that we aren't even looking for but is appreciative when we find it! Customer service was to be desired. But, There is a particular checker who is a joy to interact with. I've called and given her commendations. See, I put my money where my mouth is. If you can take the time to give a complaint you can take time to give an employee a commendation. Anywho the young man working at the self check out today, around 1045-11am, demonstrated great customer service! I didn't catch his name but thank you! It says they close at 1 a.m. When that Major guy isn't there, the employees will sometimes just not allow anyone in after whatever time they've decided they want to close. All I was gunna get tonite was a gallon of milk. It was 12:50a.m. I understand that they don't want someone coming in there late, and filling up a cart. Tall thin security guard (with a beard and a little vest on ) tells me to get out. I told him you close at 1:00a.m. not 12:50a.m. He did not like that. He told me to get the fu** out. He pushed me out of there. Yes if Ralph's has a video of the exit at night at 12:50 a.m. on Saturday 4-29-23 they'll see him pushing me out. That same security guard has warned me before . When I've come in at 12:45a.m. he right away complains about how little time I have left to shop. I was worried when I drove up. There was hardly any cars. So, I wasn't shocked. It's happened before with fill in female manager, or lead person. If I tell Major, he'll probably claim they have every right to close early, or that they had some emergency type issue to deal with. The security guard only said that the last customer allowed in has already entered. It's all about the employees rights, wants, needs, and conveniences at this Ralphs....Clearly!!..I get along well with Major, but I think he will cover for this security guard. I wish we had other choices in this area (at night.) The employees seem to know we don't have other choices at this time of night. read more

While the store is clean and well-stocked and the employees are very nice, there is almost always only ONE check stand open for orders over 15 items, and there's always a long line. People with 15 items or under have two check stands and eight self-check-out stands to choose from. I've called about this multiple times, and their two solutions are: 1) "ANYONE" is allowed in the 15 items or less lanes (ignore the glares of the people behind you who only have 3 or 4 items), and 2) Self check-out is meant for large orders, too. Honestly, this is not at all a viable solution when you have multiple bags of groceries, produce, etc. I called Kroger Corporate, and they said it's the head manager's staffing issue. The head manager said corporate won't give him the money to hire enough checkers. Everyone is passing the buck. Very frustrating! read more

Oh my god... it is legit worse than Walmart - 75 people needing to check out and only 3 registers open. Horrible! The cashiers are nice but SO DANG SLOW! Even the "express" checkout line is awful. Worst customer service ever! The manager Major is a very nasty and condescending individual who needs some etiquette training; he does not need to be a manager. The store was crowded while the employees walked around as if they were lost. Talking and laughing and when someone asked for helped, no one knew anything. Several customers approached the manager whose name is Major and he told them to wait and stop tripping! He actually said to them, chill out and relax. How can it be that each time I come here and don't do self checkout I'm stuck in lines that do not move for over 15 minutes. This is absolutely the worst customer service of any Ralph's I've been to. Usually they are about $6 at Target or Walmart. I didn't use those and got some the next day for $6 at Target , I decided to return the $14 condoms but this time to a Ralph's store in Ventura county. The mean lady wasn't sure if they could refund the condoms because I didn't buy them there, she checked with her manager and since they carry those in their store they finally proceeded to the refund.( wtf is that policy!) I noticed that at Ralph's in Ventura the condoms were $5.99 but locked in those windows at the register near the cigarettes and blades. Conclusion of this little condoms story: if you live in Inglewood ( " you're not a billionaire..... ") you'll pay your condoms double than anywhere else in LA and they are locked in a security box. That means because you guys steal condoms you'll pay double to have safe $ex otherwise if you're a teenager and can't afford it just get pregnant or impregnate at 16 ... If you live in Ventura ( " you're not a billionaire either " ) you can buy condoms for $5.99 but since you steal a lot you'll have to ask the mean judgmental lady at the register. if you are a shy teenager then you'll just go without condoms and get pregnant or impregnate at 16. If you're a "billionaire " like me you can buy your condoms dirt cheap, with no security lock anywhere in LA, you can even buy them at Ralphs in Inglewood return them at Ralphs in Ventura anytime and have safe $ex and never have to worry about being pregnant or impregnating anyone. Review for Starbucks in the Store I normally go to the other Starbucks on N La Brea, but decided to come to this location. New to the area -and i wanted to try it out.. WELL NEVER AGAIN! The costumer service here is awful. Maybe because it was a Monday ? Thats not an excuse but still. Two ladies make the coffee and one at the register i believe her name was KIM or KimmY ? The costumer in front of me said " Good Morning and her response was " not good yet. Who says that ? She was annoyed by the costumers order and kept saying " is that all ? so rude! I was next and she too gave me this cold attitude. She was annoyed that i was there to order? If you're having a BAD day don't bring it upon other people.
