The Best Muffler Shop in Fontana! Requested service was a new muffler with install. I have visited plenty of muffler shops within the Fontana area, and this shop is by far the best shop I can think of. It is my go-to location for all my vehicles' exhaust needs - mufflers, and catalytic converters (when needed). They have always been reasonable, and the quality of the work have always been excellent. I recently had to get my muffler replaced on my Honda Civic as the previous one was possibly about 15 years old and just about to fall off. The previous muffler, the one in need of replacing, was also installed at Ralph's Muffler (15 years ago). What can I say? I've been a regular customer here. The new muffler along with the work to get it welded on, and retaining the chrome tail pipe tip was all done at a reasonable price. I could not have asked for any better service. The request was very straight forward, the service was friendly, and the work was trustworthy - that is what I got and I have no complaints. I have only excellent things to say. If visiting for any kind of service, I recommend coming here during the week as the shop can get very busy over the weekend. Trust me, it is a very reputable shop and therefore has many customers. Therefore, a 45-60 minute wait is not unusual for their busy days. Just be sure to be able to speak up and follow their process to get your service requests acknowledged. read more

You know those businesses that used to be decent but then the owner hands the shop down to their kid, and then they hand it down to theirs and eventually end up bankrupt? This is one of those shops. We used to go there years ago. Went back when we bought new cars and heard Pedro "Buns" was taking over and is the best at custom work. We'd spend hours waiting to have our exhaust worked on just to be told to come back because it'd get late. Once Pedro finally got around to mine, he "ran out of bends" after the cut. So I drove home with half an exhaust and a scuffed frame. He's one of those guys that takes credit for good work but if it's bad, "it was the other guy". I lost allot of time on this place, don't waste yours. Find a better spot that actually mandrel bends. read more

Worst experience at any shop ever. First of all, get everything in writing because if you don't, you will end up with work you didn't ask for, and once you ask about the work done, Pedro (which is another story in itself) will try to bs you into thinking the work done is ok. No, it's not ok and it's not what was asked for. Second, their customer service is very unprofessional. They will not update you on the status of your work, will get annoyed if you call to follow up and will answer with short answers like a "yup" making you feel like you're getting the run around. Who answers customers with a yup? Now Pedro, this guy... he will seem nice at first, telling you he will do this and that promising you a great job and telling you they are an honest business - far from it. He will try to finesse you, over promise and under deliver. This guy is a con-boy, do not fall for it. He will also tell you they've been in business over 30 years which means nothing if the original owners children took over the business and know nothing about running a business or doing good work. I know shops who recently opened and do a prime job. He will also tell you he will update you or for you to text him on the status of your work but will stay silent and not return your messages or calls. He will also do a crappy job and will break other parts in the process. Very unprofessional to say the least. I suggest not dealing with this shop at all. Do not waste your time and money. Take a look at other customer reviews for this shop and you will see the unhappy customer review trend. Best bet is to shop around and listen to customer reviews because they are telling you a story. read more

I was recommended this shop by so many car buddies of mine that live by the area. I came here on a Friday afternoon (Jan. 31st) for a muffler and resonator delete on my 2013 Honda Civic. The employees were very nice and got me signed in to wait like 30 minutes. There were a lot of employees at the shop and each one made me feel welcomed; asking if I was still waiting or if I needed water or anything. As my car was getting worked on, some of the guys (friends of the employees there) were sparking up conversation with me and answering my car questions, very nice guys! Just made my experience more comfortable since I was there by myself. Anyway the guy who worked on my car, I believe his name is Jose, did a fantastic job installing and welding the pipe where the stock resonator and muffler used to be. The manager there was also nice and helped me pick out an exhaust tip (for a little extra) to replace the stock tip. Overall this shop did an outstanding job and the car sounds amazing! I will definitely come back for my other exhaust needs and recommend this to my friends! I wish I could add videos on here of what the car used to and now currently sounds like LOL! read more

I've been coming to Ralph's for over 15yrs. About a month ago I went in to get a full 3" exhaust on my chevelle that had a brand new 600Hp motor built for it. Pedro was the tech installing the exhaust and they did a great job. Here is where the story gets good! Someone at the shop didn't close my hood correctly so when I drove off the hood flipped up at about 40mph. It did a good amount of damage. I drove it straight back and was treated by Pedro. He took full responsibility and didn't waist time getting ahold of Ralph to approve the repairs. After 3 weeks at the shop and over $2k in repairs my car is back and looks flawless. Ralph's muffler took care of everything and I will forever be a customer and refer to all my friends and family.
