I came here with some friends because I heard they have a huge variety. I ended up choosing the fish and chips to see if they could nail it. (Spoiler they did!)The cod here is surprisingly super huge, and very tasty plus it flakes apart in the best way which I liked. The batter was crispy, golden, and not too greasy. And the chips,Thick-cut,and perfectly salted, they also come with horseradish fry sauce, which is amazing. Add a little dill tartar sauce and malt vinegar with a side Caesar salad, which I got, and it is plenty of food to satisfy. Everyone else ended up going with burgers and sandwiches, which they enjoyed, service was quick and very friendly and the portion sizes were definitely a plus. Attitude after trying to help. I ordered 2 delivery items via uber eats. Only 1 item arrived. Instantly I reported it to UE for a refund. Upon further inspection I saw that the slip from the Ram only had one item printed on it. So I double checked my order and sure enough 2 items were ordered. So I called the restaurant to let them know that something might be wrong with their system or whatever they use to print online orders. First person was clueless trying figure out the rocket science of only getting 1/2 my order. Second person to the phone was quickly dismissive to get me off of the phone telling me to call UE for a refund. Which I stated "I never asked for that, I'm trying to help you so other orders aren't messed up," and off the call she went. We love the environment! Service was so friendly (when you got it, it gets busy so be patient, especially in the bar area). The Dunker was exceptional along with the Caesar salad. THE ONLY reason they do not deserve 5 stars from me is the fact that my trashy self likes coors light and they are $7! Also pricing was not listed on the menu so getting our bill was semi shocking, and felt a little shady. Draft beers are 5.25-5.50 so when ordering a coors light I sure as heck didn't expect to spend more than that. My husband is not happy, so here I am, also very affected. read more

I hadn't been to The Ram in years but it was an establishment my husband and I took our family often when we lived closer. My adult children were home for the weekend so we decided to make the drive from Middleton for lunch. We were seated quickly and gratefully, had plenty of room given we had a couple of babies in car seats. Our server took our order and all seemed to be good. I had a clear view of the kitchen from where I was seated. I noticed the manager was helping servers get orders on trays to go out to the patrons. I noticed the fries seemed to be not made to order but made by the bowl full and stuck under the warmer then separated into smaller dishes until the entree was done. I saw the manager taking our dishes from under the warmer well before our server was ready to bring the food out which didn't help the temperature of our food once it got delivered. Our server handed me a plate that had sweet potato fries and everyone else their dishes. I noticed that my burger had jalapeno peppers peeking out which shouldn't have been on the Oklahoma Smash Burger I'd ordered. I looked up the menu on the website to make sure and then called the server over. He stated he wasn't sure if that burger was supposed to have jalapeños on it but I showed him the menu and then he said I could choose a different burger if I wanted to. I said no, I'd just like the burger that I ordered. He went to go talk with his manager about the issue. I finally realized that the reason he gave me the wrong burger was because the manager had put the sweet potato fries on the burger that was supposed to be my son in laws and his fries on mine. I looked down the table and saw he'd already taken at least 2 large bites out of the burger that I'd ordered. But offered him his burger that he'd ordered. The manager stopped at our table and apologized for the confusion and said they'd have the burger out to me as soon as they could and said he would take that other burger off of our bill. I guess I just assumed they wouldn't charge me for my burger as I didn't get it until the rest of our party was almost finished eating. When I got the bill, I noticed that I was still charged for my burger and they'd also charged and then credited me for the burger that they'd mistakenly delivered. I questioned the server and he went to go ask manager and came back and said that "Oh no, he was just offering to take off the burger that was delivered wrong." I replied that I certainly hope they hadn't planned on ever changing for a burger they'd delivered to the wrong person." The reality was is that they delivered both burgers wrong. My burger went to my son-in-law and his went to me. He had already started to eat the burger that should've gone to me and I did not want to eat a burger that had already been bitten out of. But I was kind of shocked at the fact that they felt like it was a huge favor to not charge me for the burger that they had delivered wrong. And it wasn't even the servers fault. It was the managers fault for having put the incorrect side on the burgers to start with. We used to have fond memories of going to the ram with our children when they were young, but this experience has convinced me. It's probably not a restaurant we need to revisit in the future. At the end of the day, the food was OK although the fries were cold on delivery. They tasted fine, but it wasn't anything to write home about. read more

Unfortunately, my Mother's Day dinner at the Ram left much to be desired, starting with how we were greeted to attempting to get an explanation on our bill. Yes, I did pick the Ram for a couple of reasons. 1) I could make a reservation, not that we needed one and 2) my husband just had had surgery, and he could dress down and not feel uncomfortable. Food was decent but the service was sub-par. Spencer was not the friendliest, didn't make us feel like he actually cared about our business and pleasing us as customers. But the worst of all was when we went to pay the bill. My husband used a $50 gift card we had, and my son was taking care of the balance of the meal. After the $50 was applied, we were not brought a bill with the balance. Spencer presented my son with the credit card payment device, the payment was made, my son was not given the opportunity to see the balance due, add a tip, see what he was paying for, was not asked to sign for the transaction and was not given a receipt afterwards. Spencer ADDED A 20% TIP on to the bill without my son approving, signing or actually seeing the receipt. When I went back in to question the situation it was basically a waste of my time. Adding the 20% tip was extremely inappropriate for sure!!! Probably will scratch the Ram off our list for good!! read more

Nothing here was impressive- honestly more of a three experience but the server was really kind (even though she seemed stressed) and the food wasn't bad tasting. Everything was slightly off. Steak a little too done, toppings chopped poorly or stacked weird on things. Cocktails aren't worth it. Stick to the basics and don't have your hopes high and it'll be a fine meal. read more

All the bad reviews are kind of shocking based off my first experience EVER dining here. We went on a thursday evening and sat at the bar. I ordered a well drink and my husband ordered a flight and the drinks were delivered right away. Husband enjoyed the flight of the house beers. We placed food order for chicken tenders and the French dip and the food was delivered super fast and was hot & fresh. We both liked our meals and were super satisfied. You left us standing up front waiting for over five minutes, making direct eye contact with two of your employees who just tuned and ignored us! I do not like the Ram because of the overpriced grease-laden hamburgers that have always left me regretting that that I ate them. My wife wanted to eat there for her birthday. Well, after over five minutes being the subjects of your apathy and utter disregard, we had a wonderful meal down the road at Hook & Reel. Showed up a little before 2 on a Saturday. We took a booth at the bar area. We were given a voucher for a 10$ burger and beer awhile back, so we asked about it. The waiter we had(bartender as well) got the manager. The manager told us the voucher was over 10 years old(we got it less than 3 years ago) and basically refused to honor it. He laughed and said that voucher is $16 now. Okay? But didn't offer anything so that was weird. We then waited a good 20 minutes before the waiter even acknowledged us again. We ordered our drinks and food. For about 15 minutes we watched the bartender/waiter work on cleaning the bar area but not make our drinks? He helped a few people at the bar and got their beer but didn't make our drinks. Alright. Also noticed an older blonde woman walking the bar area, taking care of tables, and she checked on literally every table but us. Weird but... whatever. Got our drinks eventually. Got food immediately after. We ate and the kids waited eventually brought our bill. We immediately put our card and the receipt on the edge of the table, so we could pay. Again, like 20 minutes go by, and the waiter helped other people, made drinks, checked people out, and even walked by us many times...and never rang us out. At a point I made eye contact with the woman I mentioned that didn't help us. She came over and mentioned he's new. Made a couple weird jokes about him as she rings us out. We finish paying and leave. As we're about to get in the car we hear somebody screaming from the door and it's the bartender. He chased us out as if we didn't fucking pay!!!!! We say uh we paid. He says she didn't tell him. What a joke. We just spent over $70 and were treated like shit by the manager for trying to use a voucher and after being patient and paying we were accused of dining and dashing. I will never be back. Absolutely appalling, downright weird place that is a total clusterfuck. It's sad because the food was good... but I can't support an establishment that treats every guest just like a number. So disappointing!! (RAM in Meridian) ( First time there) decided to take my husband there for Father's Day lunch..We came here in hopes for a decent lunch and was left horribly disappointed. The fish and chips were mostly breading,undercooked and greasy.. I've been searching the area for a decent burger and decided to give the Ram a try so I could also grab a drink on a Friday night. I walked in and went to sit at the bar. I was greeted by Zach who was very friendly and attentive. I asked if they had any ciders and they currently have 2Towns which is my favorite. Then I scanned the menu... sooooo many options that sound amazing, but again I was in search of a good burger. I decided on the Black and Blue... and I am telling you, it was PERFECT. I got it medium, so it was a little juicy, exactly how I like it. The flavors of the burger were fantastic. Definitely made my night and I will be back! Ok, brewery visit #200 for me. I didn't dislike Ram it just didn't have much personality. That gets pretty typical for chains though so I don't fault them too much. The beers were pretty good overall, and I apologize for not giving more detail on them but when traveling with a friend I feel bad ignoring them to do a Yelp review. For food I went with the 8oz sirloin, garlic mashed potatoes, and veggies. The steak was nicely done to a medium rare and was pretty tasty with some melted butter that I poured over that and the mashed potatoes. Because an old guy like me with hardening arteries REALLY needs extra butter, right? Well, I'll exercise some and work it off. Besides that is what cholesterol meds are for...right? Ram is not an amazing stop but the food was good and the beer was tasty. I would come back but of course it is basically a corporate experience. Pretty solid brewery/restaurant. We ordered a flight horn (wheel) and were able to try 6 of the in-house brews. Options were a little confusing because the taps had been switched but the menus weren't updated and there were no temporary labels but our waitress was friendly and we made the best of it! If you can make it for Happy Hour that is definitely the best band for your buck money-wise. We ordered the pretzels and beer cheese + HH burgers which were simple yet delicious! We came for lunch and we were seated right away by Cloey who was also our waitress, and she was lovely! She came around often enough but not too much where it was disruptive. I asked for her opinion between 2 sandwiches and she gave me her recommendation, and it was delicious! I didn't get any pics but everything was so good! We started with the pretzels and beer cheese - the pretzels were so good, the cheese was just ok; but we are picky about that so take it with a grain of salt. this was Meridian location. We used to go there a lot untill we had such a bad service that we stoped. So after a LONG time we paid them a visit again. Tuesday - Happy hour all day! they told us at seating time. I ordered their featured Cosmo, glass was half way full - it was super sour, my table companion said it was tart. I didn't make much of it and ordered RAM margarita. Glass was full but again so sour !!! Food - Even though restaurant around 7:30 PM was almost empty, it took them forever to prepare 5 meals. I was watching kitchen - as you can, if you sit in the middle of the restaurant. My Cesar salad was swimming in dressing - too much is too much. One person had 2 tacos meal and he was saying it had too much sauce so he couldn't taste the food. Hamburgers were fine, fries were tasting good - but waiters told us that they just had fresh oil. How ever they did look kind of dark for fresh oil fries. And belive me do know about that, if you change oil and do not properly clean deep frier, you will have dark colored FF. Well, if you want beer and hamburger you will get it, but dont order mixed drinks or do not deviate from hamburgers - you might not get it. read more

Hey, Ram! Not everyone likes cayenne/jalapeños/habanero chilies on everything! Why did a Cuban sandwich have chilies in it? Why does Cole slaw, COLE SLAW need to have chilies? And why don't your POS machines do the math correctly for checks? My check came to $54.27. When asked to add a tip, it said that a 25% tip was $17.32. Hint, that's not how math works! (25% Tip on a $54.27 check should have been $14.38.) This is the second or third time your servers got the best of me. I'm not sure if you're to blame or Toast, but I'm not going to tip per your computer any longer. In fact, now that football season is nearly over, there's no point in coming back at all. read more

Okay, maybe it was because we showed up just before 5pm but service and food were outstanding! The menu and summer menu (only good for another couple weeks) had plenty of options. My fave the Turkey Havarti Melt is always a great option but opted for the Ahi Tuna Melt since it won't be available much longer. It was piled high with Tuna salad & the cheese was melted perfectly. Bread grilled perfectly too. The greens were as nice crisp & cool contrast to the melted cheese but was a little too much when biting through bunch of lettuce with melty goodness all falling out. .regardless, a fork helped! Ali the waitress was super attentive & even let my mother in law sample dressings (this is after my mil said-bring me something "exotic") and we discovered that the Serrano Grape dressing was just a little too spicy for this 86 years old & decided better just go with Bleu Cheese, Ali didn't miss a beat & was back in a flash. Waters were never empty nor did we have to ask or look for anything. Nice! Ok, I tried to take a pic of husbands Bronco burger. .but it was mostly gone by the time I remembered! He said cooked just how he likes & flame broiled. What more can a girl ask for, husband AND inlaws happy, fed & no dishes! I almost left three stars because service at the bar usually always stinks. We usually go for lunch, and the place isn't very busy. Yet, service is like a ghost town. If you checkin on Yelp you can get free Armadillo Eggs which are DELICIOUS. Their pizza crust is made from beer hops and is always crispy and crunchy. They run a great lunch deal with pizza and beer. came here today for a lunch with my coworkers and i have to say from the outside you would kind of think this place wasn't that great. I don't know why, but I thought this was like a T.G.I. friday's situation. I couldn't be more wrong- it was SO nice inside! it was big and bright and the bar was gorgeous- I could see myself sitting there all day drinking beers and watching sports. they had a ton of TVs, huge bar, huge dining room, nice decor...the manager got our drinks because they were super busy and she was really cool. our server did a great job too! I was really wrong about this place and i'm the first to admit it. the menu is a good size and they had lots of options on every category. I felt like a salad so I ordered the "olympus" with blackened chicken breast. it has artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, feta cheese, bacon, marinated red onions, avocado...I mean honestly it was fantastic. super fresh and flavorful from start to finish- I would order it again. I look forward to coming back here and trying more items on the menu- maybe sitting at that gorgeous bar. overall, I really liked this place. read more

I have been to other restaurants during the covid pandemic. None have made me feel there was a problem and the were in danger of closing. Most restaurants are doing a great job of social distancing, closing down every other table to stay in line with a 50% capacity and doing other things to help. The Ram though has taken this to an extreem. Their signs and staff say this is because they are trying to cut down on waste. I suspect the real reason though is that they are feeling the pinch from Covid. While I do understand this and sympathize, there are ways to cut back without looking like you are cutting back. There are ways to do things without creating issues for your customers. Examples from The Ram of the wrong way. #1 The Ram does not have menus anymore. There are signs on the tables to go to the web site to see their menu. This is very inconvenient. I asked for a regular menu and they brought out a photocopied menu that was not printed well. #2 They did not have the normal napkins with silverware wrapped in them like normal restaurants do. The silverware was brought out in plain brown wrappers and both mine and my wives were dirty. #3 When we got our bill, they would not take our credit card. We had to go onto to an app, enter out own credit card info and pay that way. As for the food, I had a burger. The burger was fine, but overcooked and the bun was stale. My wife had a beef dip. The bun was stale and the meat was plenty, but I think it was packaged meat. Everything lacked flavor. My take from this evenings meal at The Ram is that they are having financial problems and are cutting back in every way they can. While I understand this, they are going about this the wrong way. When the going gets tough, a business should doing thing better than the competition because there is less revenue to go around. For example, when I am looking for a restaurant to eat dinner at, and I have 2 choices. Restaurant A is going the extra mile even though times are tough to make sure they produce the best food, and give the best dining experience possible. Restaurant B is also feeling a pinch, but it chooses to cut staff, cut food quality, and cut down on other things that create a poor dining experience. Was close to wrapping up an epic road trip helping my kid get from his East Coast collegiate summer ball adventure. Found the local Ram, which instantly teed up memories of youth sports tourneys in the NW, team family group dining, dads & moms grabbing a beverage before games/matches, or a late night postgame option when most other kitchens were closed (or fast food would have been the only other option). Getting there on a Wednesday had us there in the bar for the burger & beer special. When nostalgia is met with tasty food and cold beer, it's a winner. read more

I like The Ram and we have been going there for many years I especially like their fish and chip but have always had a love/hate relationship with them because they switch their suppliers so often and are not consistent BUT I decided to give them another try after not going in for over 4 months and..... the atmosphere is the same noisy, and pretty chaotic. We were seated and greeted immediately by a manager and were told about their new fish and chips without even asking so we thought we'd give them a try. We got a side salad had an appetizer crab & artichoke dip before which was pretty good, I do like their blue cheese. When the fish and chips came out there were three medium sized pieces and a nice portion of waffle cut fries along with the coleslaw and the tartar sauce on the tray. When I tasted them I was overjoyed to see it was cod again not pollock. Nice thin light beer batter breading with a good crunch and very tender and moist fish. Happy they got a good new supplier, hope they keep them. Will be back for more fish and chips. The only reason for the three star rating is because the service was a bit slow and the noise of the environment read more

We ordered take out from this restaurant. My husband waited 30 minutes before they came and told him they didn't have one of the items we ordered. They offered a different similar item which we agreed to. He waited another 20 minutes before they came out said they couldn't make the substitute item either. By this time the one meal they did make had been sitting around for 40 minutes. We asked for a full refund which they did but the service was horrible and we will never go back and don't recommend this place to anyone. read more
