The ladies and I stopped here along the way to a church retreat to fuel up and get some good food. We got some tasty dishes and we also did a whole lot of Christmas shopping while we were in the store. So many good deals on holiday items. Make sure to check them out Before they all get bought.

Zero wait time on a Sunday morning. Super friendly staff - restaurant is clean and all the amenities are full (sugar, salt, pepper, etc) Came here twice in 3 days for breakfast since we are staying at the hotel behind the restaurant. Really wanted an iced mocha. Machine is broken and from the sound of the staff it's been like that for a while. Shame, I would have been here every day.

The service here was great. The place is clean and it was close to my hotel. I ordered the build your own breakfast and got sausage (a bit dry) scrambled eggs, hash brown casserole and biscuits and gravy. Overall, not bad. It wasn't anything amazing, but for only $15 bucks this hit the spot.

On behalf of my dad who is particular on food, he has a warm fondness for Cracker Barrel, this location specifically. Today's breakfast was delicious. I got the Benedict and it was honestly one of the best ones I've had. Nicely proportioned with two options of sides. I opted for tomato slices and grits. My dad always gets the Old Timer which is the basic necessities you want for a good old American Breakfast. The seasonal menu going on right now looks amazing and I already want to head back to try their limited options! Kathryn was our server. We actually had her a couple of times and she has always been amazing. Kind, efficient and always asked if we needed anything else. The place is decorated with the Holiday and we are loving it.

Stopped here while driving from Utah to Oregon. Service was very friendly and I loved my country vegetable platter. Would definitely come back here again!

Kinda weird there isn't a Cracker Barrel in WA state. They sell their mac and cheese at my neighborhood Safeway so I always wondered what it tasted like in the restaurant. I can't believe I had to fly to Boise just to try it though! Really friendly service. Surprisingly cheap food but large portions. I took my leftovers to go.

Had the Brussels sprouts, strawberry French toast, and the famous fried green tomatoes, which were all so yummy! The service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the overall experience was just as great as we remembered. The Brussels sprouts are a huge fav for us. The sauce is so flavorful and we order them every time! Great atmosphere and excellent service recovery!…read more I stopped by Tupelo Honey in downtown Boise for lunch and loved the vibe. The decor features beautiful artificial greenery that gives the space a light, vibrant, and welcoming feel. My server, Brayden, was fantastic--friendly, prompt, and attentive. I started with the Southern Hospitality mimosa (peach & pineapple with "Blue Ridge Bubbly"), which was incredible. For my meal, I chose the $10.99 Lunch Break Special, upgrading my side to the chicken poblano soup alongside the half honey pecan chicken salad sandwich. While I was looking at the bar, a gentleman named Scott asked how I was enjoying my food. I told him I hadn't tried it yet, but that the mimosa was rocking! The soup was delicious with great flavoring, and the biscuits paired perfectly with their tasty jam. The chicken salad also tasted great, but unfortunately, I bit into a sharp chicken bone that hurt my mouth. Because of this, I stopped eating the sandwich. When Brayden checked back in, I let him know I couldn't finish it due to the bone. He handled it perfectly, promptly took the sandwich away, and removed the charge from my bill. He also brought out some bread for my soup as requested. I finished my meal with a salted caramel craft iced latte, which was absolutely delicious. Minor food mishap aside, the outstanding customer service from both Brayden and Scott will definitely bring me back!

After hearing so many glowing recommendations, this was a disappointing Father's Day brunch…read more My husband ordered the brisket and eggs breakfast and enjoyed it. The brisket was flavorful, the grits were good, and he substituted a biscuit for toast. Oddly, the biscuit was served completely plain. When I asked a staff member if it normally came with butter or jam, they looked genuinely confused by the question. I eventually just asked for jam, but it felt like a strange interaction. I ordered the Brisket Benedict and the Monte Cristo. The Benedict looked great when it arrived, but one poached egg was perfectly runny while the other was significantly overcooked with a mostly solid yolk. The brisket was dry, the collard greens underneath were dry, and there wasn't enough hollandaise to compensate. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and fine, but nothing memorable. The Monte Cristo was the biggest letdown. When I order a Monte Cristo, I expect something rich, savory, and indulgent. This version was made with bland white bread, the bacon was very soft, and the sandwich lacked the flavor and texture that make a Monte Cristo worth ordering. It looked better than it tasted. Service was pleasant, but no one checked on our table after the food arrived, despite the restaurant not being very busy. Had someone stopped by, I would have mentioned the overcooked egg. Overall, one good dish out of three isn't enough to make me want to return. Based on this visit, I'd give it 3 stars.

The weather was fabulous so sitting outside in the patio area was the perfect setting for breakfast. We got food ordered at the counter. The gal that was helping was kind but not very helpful. There was a gentleman that was working who stepped up to the plate and helped me out. I wanted hot coffee but since it was self serve, I couldn't have it. I decided not to get coffee but he suggested a cold brew. He had me sold the way he described it to me. So for breakfast today I got a vanilla iced cold brew with Boise Basin omelet. The patio area was perfection. Big orange umbrellas to keep us shaded. Tables nicely spaced so you didn't feel congested. And it's nicely tucked in so that you're not completely exposed to the street. You couldn't have asked for a better setting. My omelet and coffee trickled out. Mannnnn, it all looked fantastic! My omelet was hearty. Prettily garnished with fresh pico. The potatoes were golden topped with fried okra on top. My biscuit looked like it came out of the oven with a side of butter and jam. This plate of mine was going to get devoured! My omelet was fluffy stuffed with bacon, green peppers and onions. I also grabbed a side of sausage gravy to go with it and the gravy was the perfect match for my potatoes. The gravy and omelet was a winning combination too! Ughhhh it was so good. I ate so much of my omelet and potatoes that I ended up taking my biscuit home. I am planning to eat the rest of my potatoes and omelet for lunch later! I also got the pleasure of meeting Mr. John Berryhill. My friend, Tod are friends with John so it was great to see them interact and conversate with one another. I appreciate that he took time out of his duties to chat with us. He also gifted Tod a bag of birthday bacon. What a fun gift to receive! I'm so happy we got to come here for breakfast and celebrate my friend's birthday. The food was amazing. Service was fantastic and the venue is stunning! There is a huge cinnamon roll topped with bacon that's calling my name! I will have to come back soon to try it out!

He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely took the time to connect with guests. I was dining with my daughter, who uses a wheelchair, and his warmth and attentiveness made us feel especially comfortable and appreciated. The restaurant still has the lively atmosphere and unique service style that makes it stand out. The staff was friendly, and the overall experience was enjoyable. As for the food, I was a little disappointed with the beignets this time around. They were much doughier than I expected and didn't have the light, fluffy texture I was hoping for. It wasn't a deal-breaker, but it was definitely the one item that missed the mark for me. That said, Bacon continues to be a great spot for breakfast and brunch, and the hospitality we experienced during this visit left a lasting impression. Meeting the owner and seeing how much he cares about his guests made this return visit memorable, and I'll certainly be back to try more of the menu.

We dropped in for Taco Tuesday and were thoroughly impressed by both the kitchen's creativity and the charming atmosphere. The Food The star of the night was undoubtedly the OG Crispy Tacos. At a fantastic $5 Tuesday special, these are a masterclass in nostalgia done right. They feature a unique "crispy soft shell" that provides a satisfying crunch without shattering, loaded with seasoned ground beef, fresh lettuce, cheese, pinto beans, and a hot sauce that packs just the right punch. It's the ultimate elevated comfort food. I also branched out to try the Korean Short Rib Taco ($8). This is where Madre's "boutique" identity really shines. The richness of the short rib was beautifully offset by the acidic crunch of kimchee and pickled relish, while the peanut sauce added a creamy, nutty depth that tied the fusion profile together perfectly. Drinks & Atmosphere To wash it all down, I opted for a classic Daiquiri, which was balanced and refreshing--clearly made by someone who understands craft cocktails. My fiancé enjoyed The Bruce, a crisp, local beer that paired effortlessly with the bold spices of the tacos. And before we left, we split a margarita. The atmosphere at Madre is "quaint" in the best way possible. We chose to sit on the patio, which offers a lovely outdoor escape. The setting is so integrated with the neighborhood charm that we even had a local squirrel zip right under our feet across the patio--a moment that added a touch of whimsical, nature-filled character to our meal. Service The service was top-notch; our server was genuinely friendly and attentive without being overbearing, ensuring our drinks stayed full and our Taco Tuesday experience was seamless. Final Verdict Madre - Boutique Taqueria manages to feel like a hidden gem while delivering world-class flavors. Whether you're there for the high-value OG specials or the more adventurous fusion offerings, you're in for a treat. We'll definitely be back for more patio time!
