We haven't been here in a long time. We made a reservation for six and were sat promptly when we got there. The restaurant wasn't as busy as we thought it would be. We ordered off the main menu as well as the happy hour menu. The happy hour menu had a lot of great things on it. I ordered through the Grubhub app. But I ordered a cheese burger with bacon/ fries and some pretzels with cheese. I ate half the hamburger almost all the fries, and couldn't eat the pretzels, so I bagged up the pretzels and cheese, and the half of the hamburger for the next day. At lunch the next day I had half of the burger. It was delicious. For dinner I cut the amount of the pretzels and microwaved them for 30 seconds they came out great! Very disappointed! 2 weeks ago our meal cost $61.96 and came with 2 sides. Tonight it was $83.52 for the exact same meal. We sat at the bar and the service was amazing. After reading the reviews on the Reuben we had to try the sandwich. My boyfriend and I picked the fried pickles as the appetizer and asked to have this out before the food if possible. Our appetizer came out with the sandwiches (not a big deal). The sandwich wasn't the best and was really soggy. I got the French dip sandwich and it was really huge. The bread wasn't toasted, tasted unseasoned, was cold and didn't taste good at all. Great place to watch a game, they have lots of TVs to choose from. They open at 9:45 on Sunday a.m. we ordered crispy cauliflower that was on point. She took our food order and our food took a little bit but came out hot. We got the Rueben, a pepperoni and olive pizza, a Rambo pizza (meat lovers), French Dip, chicken Mac & cheese, and Buffalo Blue Mac & Cheese. Most everything was good. The rueben and french dips were both loaded with meat. The pizzas had lots of toppings and cheese. Unfortunately, the Buffalo Blue Mac & Cheese came without the chicken. We've gone here many times, the happy hour menu is a great deal, although perhaps not quite the amazing value it was prior to the pandemic. I've been to several of their locations over the years, and this one has become the go-to location as it is closest to home. The service on the bar side has always been friendly and easy-going, without hovering. We each have our own preferred beer but will try the rotating beers, just to see because it's fun. We almost always get the fish and chips and a skillet cookie, plus or minus another entree or an appetizer to round out the meal. They seem to be playing with the menu more often these days, so it's hard to say what will or won't be on the menu when you go in; bring back the loaded waffle fries! read more

The Ram is a great sit down offering. It's too bad the Clackamas location is now closed. We visited here for dinner and had a great experience. We were seated in the bar and the service from the bartender was excellent. Service was very friendly and attentive. The food was really good as well. The mozzarella sticks were decent but I would probably try something different next time. The BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger was very good and cooked to my preference. If you're in the south Portland area, I would recommend visiting The Ram for a great dining experience. I would advise that their hours are currently short. Seriously great service. The food was very good and plentiful. I had a bowl of clam chowder after Mandee graciously provided me a sample. It actually required a spoon which was a pleasant change from the overly-thick gruel I am often served in the name of clam chowder at competing restaurants. It was great. For my entree I ordered a blackened chicken salad which had a bed of rice. Loved it. In my previous visit (to the Clackamas Ram) I noticed "Mile High Mud Pie" on the menu. Since that is my favorite desert and either not an option at other (most) restaurants or woefully done, I was intrigued. So much so that I asked Mandee about it to which she swung by with a serving another guest had ordered so I could actually see the presentation. It was love at first sight! I couldn't leave without it and of course it wouldn't travel so I did what I had to do. I even shared it with everyone after some good-natured prodding. DELICIOUS!! So for us it was a great meal in no small part due to Mandee's wonderful service. I can't wait to go back even though it's a bit of a drive. I suppose the few brew houses I've eaten at in eugene have sorta built up some expectations for other brew houses. Applebees and ram seem to get their food from the same kitchen. I know taste is wildly subjective, but this food was about as uninspiring as any I can recall. I didn't even finish my meal and got jerky & donuts at a nearby gas station to hold me over until I was home. I ordered a chicken Cobb through door dash. The salad arrived with only greens and none of the fried chicken. I called the restaurant since I am local, and they game me to the manager who was short and told me it was door dash's issue. I inquired as to if it is his people who are responsible for making the salad and putting the chicken on top/in the bag and he admitted yes but said there is nothing he can do and did not apologize or offer anything.
