    Gross sink

The absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The whole hotel smells like smoke and marijuana. The rooms were disgusting. The walls were half painted. There were spiderwebs and spiders all over the ceiling. The tub and sinks were moldy. The doors even looked like they were "under construction" . The walls were dripping in dirt. They should be ashamed of themselves. No bath towels. The only nice thing I can say was the kind young lady at the front desk on our last day. Oh and walls are very thin. Heard "guest dogs" barking all night. Please do better and don't stay here.

Called three times in advance letting them know I'm checking in early and never said it's 20$ to check in before 12pm. They also told me they "should have a room available" since I was checking in on Friday but then I got there and not only was there no rooms available, housekeeping doesn't get in until 9am and they take an HOUR to clean a room. I've worked in hotels before and that's long af. Just letting you guys all know!! when I checked in at 1pm they apologized for making me wait and it smells clean. The rooms where clean but REALLY dated with stains on the carpet. These rooms need to be re-carpeted (and the baseboards are carpet too which I personally despise but to each their own), walls need to be re-done, the bathrooms need to be re-caulked, and the furniture needs an update as well. It's like stepping into a 90's hotel. Also there's no place to put my luggage? Normally there's that foldy thing that you open and then can place your luggage on it. Breakfast was a very average continental. Also there is feet marks in the tub which gross me out! i do not wear sandals so it's not from my feet, which are in socks. After the final night it was bad. I was constantly checking for bed bugs and rodents (thankfully none). There's this gap under the front door that bugs get under, which there was a lot of, and they put me right by the door to outside (that's NEVER locked btw I checked) and it's was just too much for me. It was constantly loud, the walls are made of paper and since I was by the back door, all I heard every time I was in my room is the door loudly opening and shutting. Never staying here again.

    Coffee wrappers not cleaned up.

I knew what I was signing up for when I decided to stay at a discount motel. Still, that does not excuse the experience I had. I stayed for three nights. When I returned from my meeting on the second day, I found that my room had not been cleaned (see attached pictures). The cleaning staff had definitely been to the room, as there were clean towels on the towel rack. But the dirty towels were still laying in a pile on the floor. The bed had not been made. And the remnants from the coffee I had made the night before had not been cleaned up. They also did not replace the coffee that I had used, so I wasn't able to make fresh coffee the next morning. When I went to the front desk and told the desk clerk (her name was Toni), she apologized and said, "Yeah, we've been having trouble with our cleaning staff. I'll tell the manager." But there was no offer to get someone to come in and clean up the towels or replace the coffee. The next day, I asked to speak to the manager, but he wasn't in-even though I had been told (by Toni) that he would be in the next morning. Walter, the front desk guy was very apologetic. He seemed like a nice guy and I'm sorry he has to work at a place like this. I left my cell phone number with the front desk and told them to please have the manager call or text me. He never did. Toni told me that the best they could do for the failure to clean my room was offer me a 10% discount on the bill. That's barely what they would give to someone with a Triple A discount. Very disappointing. The continental breakfast food LOOKED fine-waffles, bagels, etc. But I only eat protein, so I tried the mini-omelettes and sausage links. They were disgusting. I took one bite of each and had to throw them away. They were lukewarm, and they tasted bad. I get to Columbus for business on a semi-regular basis, so I usually try to find an affordable place to stay. I will never stay at this place again, and I will recommend AGAINST it to anyone I know visiting the Columbus area for any reason. I will also be sending a copy of this review to the Ramada corporate headquarters.

This hotel is not clean what so ever I'm pretty shocked. Calling this The Polaris Ramada is a joke - I live at Polaris and have to stay here for a conference. There is blood or snoot on the bathroom wall? Cracks in the lamp shade? Smears all over the toilet seat, shower, and sink area? I mean come on... I did not realize this was a motel 6 and I've stayed at other Ramada's. Giving this hotel one star is a nice gesture what a mess and shit hole The staff is kind I'll give it to them but clean up the place. But come on :(

    Hair on the sink.

The staff that I did interact with were friendly for the most part. That's about where the positives stop. It seemed to be an older hotel, that has probably gone through the bare minimal of renovations. The carpets are stained. Paint is chipping all through the corridor, not only on the walls but the door frames as well. Once in my room, there was a scent. It was a cross between old mop water and mildew. I went to use the rest room and there was a dead bug on the floor. Afterwards, I went to wash my hands, there was hair in the sink and what seemed to be a dead bug inside of the nob of the sink fixture. Considering it was 4AM and I was not in the mood to travel any further, I dealt with it. Ironically, the bed was clean. It by far was the best thing in the room. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you're stuck in a bind.

You get what you pay for....and we won't be back Cheap price...74 a night. Needs maintenance badly!! Multiple lights burnt out in our room, walls need repaired, lamp shades need replaced. Free breakfast was ok....cramped, but good enough.

I was told that my Honors Member rate would be booked for the full stay. At check in, the reservation I made was not even for the correct number of nights. I booked for Wednesday thru Sunday but they only had my block of rooms for Wednesday and Thursday. We were told to come down and check out and check back in the following day. When we came down in the morning to take care of this, that front desk person said we should not have had to check in and check out and move rooms even though this is what we were told upon arrival. We then find out that our rate has gone from $187 to approximately $500 a night for the remaining stay. Of course we are shocked. We went to speak to the manager and he was not willing to meet us in the middle to find a solution. He gave us a hard no and said you won't find another hotel in this area for the remaining days. We found another hotel, three rooms left and did not stay and found other accommodations. I think there were enough issues with our reservations and being told a different story depending upon who we spoke with that the hotel. It is unfortunate that they seemed to not care to loose guests and two rooms. I am truly floored by the switch and bait and also that management/staff really seemed to not be bothered. We might only be 6 guests total but they just lost customers who that will never book with this hotel chain again.

This trip brought us to the LeVeque. I opened the door to my room and literally stopped in my tracks. My first thought: Can the interior designer come do my house next? The decor is gorgeous. One of my favorite discoveries was that the gold framing around the mirrors and bed? Plastic. The crisscross "marble" lamp bases? Also plastic. Honestly, brilliant. They look exactly like the kind of ridiculously heavy gold frames and marble lamps that would double as murder weapons in a Dateline episode. The bathroom is huge, the towels are fluffy, and there's a separate privacy door for the toilet--an underrated luxury when traveling. My only room complaint: the shampoo has that generic "guy cologne" scent that never quite smells as good as its creators think it does. The hotel's artwork is classy, and the bar area is comfortable with plenty of couches for lounging. The drinks, however, are pricey. At those prices, the martinis should arrive with special effects--a bubble on top that explodes into smoke, minimum. A minor annoyance: the lobby ran out of Diet Coke for purchase. Unfortunately, Marriott doesn't seem to give employees a small emergency soda fund to run out and buy a case. As for parking, valet would have been nice, but instead you park in the garage around the corner. The attached walkway makes it easy enough, though. Overall: beautiful hotel, stunning rooms, great atmosphere.

The hotel was asked if there was a conference or meeting room we could use for the day! The answer was Yes! One room was in the second floor and the other one was a meeting area in the lobby next to the library. It was between the Starbucks and the front desk. It was out in the open but we weren't discussing anything confidential. Very few people came by us as most people waited closer to the front desk if they were waiting for someone. This led to a quiet atmosphere where we could hear each other without difficulty. We used a delivery service for lunch because The Keep's kitchen was going to close in 20 minutes. They are open for breakfast and close, close for several hours and reopen for happy hour/dinner service. The valet parking for the day was about $26 before tip.

I felt $39 for valet parking was very high, especially since the first night my car was not even parked in their lot. I actually felt that they should have refunded part of the valet fee since my car was parked a block and a half away in an unattended lot. I actually felt that for $39 per night that the cars should have been in a garage. The hotel was nice, though we were looking for something to eat late at night after 10:00 p.m. and didn't realize that the sports bar stop serving food after 10:00 p.m. and the restaurant upstairs was packed and very loud. We ended up ordering out doordash which was easier and quicker especially since it was pouring down rain outside. The desk wasn't always staffed while we were there, that included when we called on the phone at 7:00 p.m. to speak with someone and the phone just rang and rang and rang, it also included daytime when we were looking to speak with someone at the front desk and there was no one there. A desk in a downtown hotel should be staffed 24 hours a day. When we booked our room I didn't realize my mother would need a handicapped room. When we finally did get a hold of someone a little bit after 7:00 on that first evening we were able to move to a room that was supposedly handicapped but wasn't quite as I expected it would be. Yes there were rails everywhere in the bathroom but the toilet was low and what really blew my mind was there was a bathtub and anyone who's handicapped like let's say in a wheelchair is not going to be able to get into the bathtub or out very easily. There was a seat underneath the sink that could be set up in the tub but how would somebody if they were handicapped get into and out of it. The first room we had had a nice shower that you could practically walk in without having to climb over the edge of a bathtub. I would have felt that would have been much better of an option for someone handicapped. Drawer space in both rooms was non-existent. In the handicap room there was one drawer underneath the fridge. In the other room there were two drawers. We were there for the weekend, we operated out of the suitcase. They were all so only four hangers. It seemed to me a bit ridiculous that there wasn't enough storage space for someone who might want to unpack if they were there for a week or longer than a weekend. In fact, I've never been in a Marriott hotel that didn't have more storage than this one. It was a bit odd to me. The staff was friendly, helpful, the little store downstairs was nice to pick up some drinks or some snacks, I'm unsure where we would have heated up the frozen dinner or pizza that were in the freezer in that little store since we didn't have a microwave in our hotel room. It was nice that the hotel was close to comfest that was happening while we were visiting the area and that North market was just a block up. It was nice that you could walk to things and weren't always reliant on your car. Again I really wanted to like this hotel thoroughly, but there were just things that didn't make sense and were problematic to me. But since we were there for an event, we didn't have a choice of the hotel for that event.
