Dishonest to a point bordering on fraudulent. Incompetent. We hired the company to "open our pool".....$1000 bucks (which is ridiculous)....and they leave a note that says: "Will have to come back to finish the vac, backwash, and balance the chemicals *Pool was a bit murky, so we left the system running 25/ in service until we return" Im not sure, but sounds to me as though they didn't finish the job and they are coming back, right? NO!!!!!! I called to ask when and they said they would send someone out for and additional $500 bucks...and stupid me, I agree!!!!! because Im the type of sucker that a business like this relies on taking advantage of. So thats the end, right? NO!!!!!!! They don't show up and when I call again, its my fault!!! So now we are two weeks and about $1500 bucks into getting this pool open and still no end in sight. But is that the end? NO!!!!!!! We were charged nearly $1000 bucks to replace 15 small tiles!!! Why? IDK....perhaps they flew artisans in from Italy. $2500 bucks....15 small tiles.....and a bowl of water I can not swim in.....do yourself a favor.....find someone that has some pride in their business, some sense of value for the customer, and frankly someone that will be around next year.......because these guys will go under and deserve it. AND SHAME ON YELP FOR MAKING ME GIVE AT LEAST 1 STAR!!!!

We spent over a year trying to find a fair priced, communicative, and quality contractor who was even available to do the renovation work. We had ridiculously high quotes, quotes not itemized, blatant gouging, and folks who would not even return phone calls. Then we found Brian and Northstar Pools. From the first moments, I knew this was not your average NJ contractor. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable, humble - and clearly held to their mantra of providing only caring and customer-focused service - but he really knows his stuff on top of that! His prices were fair and enumerated in detail, so I knew exactly what I was getting. But it took a couple of months while I did more research - and during that time he was ever so patient, answered all my questions, and helped me arrive at a plan that worked. Once work started, he and his crew worked very hard and efficiently to tackle this beast of a project. As I was juggling the logistics of the other related landscaping and electrical work (and not to mention the weather), Brian was super accommodating and patient in coordinating all the work with me. When the inevitable need for plan changes occurred - Brian took everything in stride to make sure I was satisfied. The DIYer and engineer in me forced me to ask a LOT of questions as work progressed (and I mean a LOT). Brian answered every single one of them patiently and professionally - even the stupid ones. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were clearly evident. He even crawled ten feet under the new liner he just installed to remove a few pebbles that had found their way underneath - on a nice hot August day no less. Thank-you Brian and your great team for the work you did - and the manner in which you performed it. We are so blessed that we found you.

Save your time and unnecessary aggravation and give your business to one of the other pool companies that need and appreciate it.

They said one thing and pretend to be nice, saying all inclusive package but turns out charging extra once you sign a contract with them. On top of that, their staff is very inexperienced that they struggled in setting up our pool equipments and cleaning our pool. They had to come back many times to get things corrected, only to log more hours and chemicals so that they can charge you more. It has never taken over 2 weeks duration from opening pool to get pool water clear and clean and vacuum to be ready for swimming. Don't ever use them if you need pool ready for party! Due to their frequent Management staff change over (3 managers change within recent past 6 months), customers are given misleading pool package contract information and make it impossible to verify additional sneaky charges that they claimed not included in their so-called "inclusive" expensive pool package, as compared to other pool companies. If you ever need a repair, their parts are 4 times more expensive than the market price. Please consider carefully when picking Lehmann Pools as your company!

But more than that I truly felt he went out of his way to make sure I received the best service possible and was happy with our new pool. In addition to pool installation, I had to have a sewer pit installed and a retaining wall with additional cement patio. Both supplied contractors were very good. The sewer pit was installed by Mikula Contracting out of Clifton, and I couldn't say enough about them. Professional, timely and completion of job was unmatched. They went above the contracted service to assist with my gutter connections and leveling my yard. The concrete work was performed by New Way Construction. Isaiah, in my opinion is a very honorable man. His work we are very pleased with, and is dedication to my ultimate satisfaction was extremely appreciated. I have and will continue to recommend his services to family and friends. Of course there were hiccups along the way, to be expected with any large undertaking, but overall my wife and I are very happy with our pool and our choice of contractor. Thanks Ed!
