Miso Ramen (Soy Bean Base) + medium spicy
    Phong T.

Ramen 101 is located in a shopping plaza opposite SF Premium Outlets. My friend and I shopped until we dropped and then had a late lunch here. We arrived around 2 PM, and the restaurant was about 75% full. Fortunately, we ordered at the front and were seated quickly. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered Tonkatsu and Miso Ramen. I chose the Miso with medium spiciness, which was topped with Sichuan chili oil. While I like Sichuan chili oil, I prefer my ramen this particular chili oil; without the peppercorn and Mala flavors in my ramen broth. Both bowls had generous portions and tasted great. The pork chashu slices were flavorful, likely marinated and pan-seared to enhance their taste. They didn't taste gamey, which was a plus. 3.8 rounded to 4 stars. In addition to ramen and other Japanese dishes, this place also offers Hawaiian BBQ, which was a surprise when we ordered at the counter.

Ramen 101 is one of my favorite places to eat whenever I'm in the area. The tonkotsu ramen (medium spicy) and the crab rangoons are my go-to. I always dine-in, and the food comes out super fast.

Stopped by after a nearby round of golf. Ramen always hits the spot. This place also serves Hawaiian bbq too. We ordered at the counter and our food came out quickly. Broth was piping hot, noodles were chewy, and the extras in the soup were tasty. Good portions too!

I happened to be in the area by San Francisco Premium outlet. This place is an order before you sit down. Food: I had a Tonkotsu ramen, did not taste like it at all. Did not have that sweet umami broth flavor at all. I mainly tasted the oil, something's lacking for sure. The egg, bamboo, and pork slices were decent though. Service: Wasn't that great. When the ramen came, the server asked who had which ramen, just for them to place it in the middle of the table. The server looked like they did not want to be there. Overall wouldn't go back, I'd go elsewhere in the area.

Have not been here in a while. Still think this is better than the Pleasanton and Dublin stores. Quick dinner meal was convenient. Seating was casual and ambiance is casual. Service was fast. Staff was friendly even close to closing time. The broth for Tonkatsu was flavorful yet not too thick or too much. Pork Rins Ramen was tasty, Not too overpowering. The fried Squid and Takoyaki balls were tasty. The balls could be slight less shaky. Parking just across the outlets, was very easy. And there were plenty of spots. Convenient location too.

This place happens to be near something else I was already at and I decided to stop in and give it a shot for lunch. There seemed to be a lot of people (a few already sitting, some already gone with tables to clear and some at counter waiting to order) so I figured it was good to try! The menu had a lot of great looking choices. While the service was fast and friendly, unfortunately the taste and flavors just weren't there for me! Here's what I got: Tonkatsu ramen - the broth had a weird flavor to it, not sure if it's the water being used in the broth or what but I typically love the creamy tonkatsu flavors and this one didn't do it for me. I honestly didn't even want to finish it... ended up packing it up to go after about 5-10 bites (leftovers larger than togo box given) *eaten in the restaurant (and took to-go the leftovers) Hawaiian BBQ mixed plate - nice portion however all the meats had no flavor, as if they weren't marinaded and no sauces on them. I requested extra sides of teriyaki sauce. *taken to-go Spam Musubi- one order included 2 PCs. All the rice was on the bottom so it seemed there was a ton of it and ended up falling out and all over before I could get half way done. Again, no flavor or sauces. *eaten in the restaurant (and took to-go the leftovers) It was a cold and rainy day, I really wanted to like it but unfortunately everything I tried was meh!

So freaking tasty! Nothing better than a warm creamy ramen on a cold day. Place is always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful but to the point. The menu is on the wall with pictures for east ordering. The portions are huge so bring your appetite. It's a little in the pricey side but it's def worth it. They have disposable chopsticks on the table which I love. Also you can get unlimited refills on water from the fountain if you don't want to purchase a drink.

We come here for our ramen fix... shop at the outlets across the street then eat ramen lol. My hubby always gets the seafood ramen with extra shrimp and I usually get the ramen with ribs in medium spice. It always hits the spot. They have some good rice dishes as well. We get our food pretty quickly too.... We were the only ones here on Valentine's Day. Haha.

Solid ramen. Better than some from Japan town I've had. It's a fast type of eatery, order and pay before you take your seat. No need to wait for a waiter to bring you a menu. Service is fast, and before I could fill up my cup sip my water, my bowl was ready. Pros: umami Emulsified tonkatsu broth Spice levels (medium was super mild to me) Ramen comes with corn, bean sprouts, mushrooms and chasu Egg was seasoned Black garlic oil (yum) Clean tables, a nice amber lighting, and decor The mural was a nice touch Broth was 3.5/5 Cons: Broth was a bit bitter, kinda like when you boil bones at too high a heat to dish out fast broth for fast service Egg was cooked all the way through. I need my jammy eggs folks! Corn was not sweet, it had no taste The ramen noodles were probably over cooked because it was not as chewy as I'd like Overall this is a 4/5 establishment with a 3/5 ramen. Not bad but nothing stellar. I'd love to try the unagi don. Looks delicious

Food (4/5 stars): We went shopping at the Livermore Outlets and Ramen 101 was conveniently located across the street! The Black Garlic Ramen didn't exceed my expectations. The pork wasn't tender or flavorful and the broth wasn't as spicy or rich as I would've liked. I'd be interested in trying their rice plates or Hawaiian options Experience (4/5 stars): * Price: kinda pricey * Wait Time: minimal on a Sunday at noon for a party of 6 * Service: good and friendly * Parking: there's a parking lot * Ambiance: it's a nice, casual restaurant

Service overall was okay it wasn't the best but they seemed a little understaffed as it seemed as if there was only one server so it makes sense. The service was just a bit slow and they didn't check up on us and we had to call them over but the waitresses was very nice and I wouldn't say it impacted our meal greatly. The restaurant was clean and seemed well maintained it was pretty big, the lighting was pretty dim making it a great late night sushi date spot. A lot of ramen places take pride in presentation but Fujiwara called it a day and sent it out. I was skeptical until I took my first bite. I was pleasantly surprised. Severe Food Poisoning -- And a Complete Lack of Compassion From the Owner…read more On Friday, July 31st, we ordered three sushi rolls and a bento box from Roppongi Sushi for pickup. My husband waited almost 40 minutes longer than expected for the food. We have eaten here several times before and liked it. I ate significantly more of the sushi than he did. The next morning, I felt absolutely terrible. After about 12 hours, I became violently sick and threw up all of the sushi. I couldn't believe that after all that time, it was still coming back up. I have never been that sick. I was extremely weak and lethargic, could barely eat for days, and it took several days to feel normal again. I'm a breastfeeding mom to a 5-month-old and also have a 20-month-old, so being that sick was especially difficult. I nearly lost my milk supply because I could barely eat or drink, and I was so exhausted that I could barely help with my children. I called the restaurant Saturday afternoon to let the manager know what happened. Instead of asking if I was okay or expressing any concern, her first response was, "What roll did you eat?" When I told her which one I suspected, she said, "A lot of people ordered that," and offered to refund one roll. I explained how seriously sick I had been and how difficult it was to care for my children while feeling that way. I even asked her if she was a mother and how she would feel in my situation. Her response was, "Enough -- just stop already!" followed by "We work so hard." I understand restaurants work hard, I worked in restaurants for 10 years myself! but customers deserve compassion when they report becoming violently ill after eating their food. I wasn't looking for an argument--a little compassion would have gone a long way. She eventually refunded almost the entire order, but only after a very dismissive interaction. I would not have written this review if the owner had shown even a little compassion. She never followed up with me to see if I was ok. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will NEVER be returning to Roppongi Sushi, and it will probably be a very long time before I feel comfortable eating sushi again.

This location is down the street in Dublin and we were about an hour out from close. It was a slow weekday and they were able to serve us quick and easy! A $15 bowl of ramen, with great portion and great flavor (compared to other bigger cities who overcharge and give significantly less)? How can I not be happy? Albeit I am a vegetarian and I got the veggie ramen with tofu, mushrooms, corn, bean sprouts and a boiled egg on the side. I also opted for the creamy version of their veggie broth and loved it. Ramen noodles were great and cooked well too. I feel like I can go to ramen spots who disappoint me easily when it ventures too far out of the norm, and this was an easy meal that was quick, reliable, and hit the spot. I haven't tried their other options though I do know they offer other Hawaiian bbq staples (I saw a number of people ordering those to-go). Not sure how those are... but I'm happy to report their ramen does the job. Happy gals!
