Restaurant was really clean, although the bathroom garbage cans were overflowing onto the floor, which is kind of annoying The food was good. Chicken was super crispy always flavorful. Generous helping of the radishes so I was happy about that. The sausage and rice cake app we ordered was very interesting. I think if you eat one piece of each together it pairs well. The cheese balls were really sweet so again if you take a whole bite and get some of the melted cheese with the sweet exterior, I think it paired well. No complaints read more

I want to just say, Bonchon was the very first restaurant I ever tried for Korean fried chicken (KFC). Long long time ago, the first location I ever went to was in Sunnyvale. Loved it. The soy garlic and the spicy were my go-to with a side of rice and pickles. I was usually not a boneless chicken girl but Bonchon changed my mind. I was feeling nostalgic so I went here. Now, I do not know if maybe everyone does their stuff a little differently, but the chicken we got here was pretty disappointing. It almost felt like chewing into a chicken meat ball. I bit to it and each piece had some air space in the middle. Almost like the ball was formed and not a whole piece of chicken. The sauce was very uneven, some pieces didnt even have the sauce on it. We came here after visiting family and they were packed! It was after 8pm and a lot of tables were taken. Thankfully we were seated right away. Our server was great so this rating doesn't reflect his customer service. It was the switching of service where this other female server came, at least 3 different people came to our table. The female server was cleaning the table next to us. She appeared to already be in a grumpy mood, no smile when she greeted customers and sat them, just going about hurriedly with tasks. She dropped the cups of drinks onto the floor hitting our feet. My husband's side and shoes were soaked; thankfully it was just water. She chuckled and apologized, it looked as though she was just trying to get through the night and we understand the busyness of the establishment. But overall, the service and ambiance didn't hit standards. So I give this visit a 3.5 rating for the quality of the food. Went here and only ordered one serving of medium wings to go and the server said that it would only be a 15 minute wait. Me and friend proceeded to wait for an additional 30 minutes. We watched as parties who got here after us recieve their check and left the restaurant. I have never had to wait this long for to go food before and the restaurant wasn't even busy, only having to serve a few parties during dinnertime. Not sure if they were just understaffed but I don't think you can excuse a near HOUR wait for one order of wings. Bulgogi is a food that I just get random cravings for. I was in the area because I had a go-to place nearby that closed down, so I took a little browse on our trusty Yelp app and found Bonchon across the parking lot. I got the bulgogi that comes with white rice ($22), and my husband got the fried rice with bulgogi ($18). Bummed I didn't get the japchae with bulgogi, but definitely a reason I need to return. The food had great flavors, and the texture of the beef was soft. The only downside I would say is the amount of food for the price is a little ehh. These drumsticks are freaking HUGE! like almost the size of a turkey leg (I'm exaggerating) but compared to the Stockton location, the drumsticks looks like a deflated chicken wing thing. Haven't had bonchon in a while and decided to come by yesterday for lunch. The wings were tasty and crunchy, just like how I remembered! The yangyum was super flavorful! Sweet and has a kick to it. The soy garlic is a staple and was delicious! I find that the wings have more flavor but the drums are crunchier and have more meat to it. I like the chewiness of the rice cakes in the tteokbokki, paired with the ooey gooey cheese when you pull it. We were very hungry after the outlets and decided to check out this place next door, Bonchon. On first looks I wasn't very keen. This place feels and looks very clinical, low quality chain fast food like. The staff were all over the place and off the bat happen to forget one of our waters. They didn't even bring us waters when we sat and we had to request it along with the menus? Also felt like they were short staffed. When ordering, as a pescetarian I looked at the menu and there was basically nothing without meat. For those of dietary restrictions, there are no options. After scouring the menu a few times, finally settled upon the shrimp fried rice. It came as a very small portion, probably the size of my hand, for a whopping $17!? It was greasy and over seasoned. Barely any shrimp, don't how how they can even advertise it as a shrimp fried rice when I can count the number of shrimp on my hand. Bunches of rice clumped together and some undercooked. Bonchon for dinner and we got the sampler that was a good appetizer to share-- generous amount of bulgogi fries and soy garlic wings were the favorite of all the flavored wings. We recently visited Bonchon while in the area. Although the food was decent, the service left much to be desired and left a bad taste in our mouths. We had two groups ordering, total of about 6 of us and in total we spent about $100. It was such a nice day that we decided to order To Go as the server taking our order said there was seating available outside by 85 Degrees. While waiting for our food I went outside to check out the space she told us about. It was not seating with tables and chairs, basically patio sofas and low coffee table. With that said, we decided to eat in the restaurant. While waiting for our food our other group had gotten their food and were seated at a table where we all were all seated waiting for our food. They decided to eat indoors with us as well. As they were eating one of the servers told them they couldn't eat inside because we ordered our food to go. I thought I misunderstood so I let her know the seating outdoors did not have chairs and tables. She continued to repeat herself saying because we ordered To Go we had to eat elsewhere. It wasn't like they were packed, and had no tables available and they didn't have people in line waiting to order, it was 2:30pm, well past the lunch hour. I said we would like to change our order for dine in. She said we couldn't do that and again said we had to take our food and eat elsewhere. At his point, I'm super confused and explain to her between our two groups we spent over $100 and wanted to eat indoors. Again, she said we had to eat elsewhere because we ordered "To Go". WTH?! If she gave me a good reason on why we had to eat elsewhere, it wasn't communicated. I'm not sure what I was missing, but was so annoyed that we waited for our food, which took another 10 minutes. In that time our other group had already opened their bags and started eating, but when we got our "To Go" bag we all left. Even more frustrating, is the fact that we had already tipped them for our To Go order. While I don't mind giving this food chain another chance, it definitely won't be at this location. Been here several times and I've always been pleased with their chicken here. But today I ordered the boneless and for $35, it looks like 10 bucks worth of chicken nuggets from McDonald's. I guess that's a tough lesson to learn for me. The boneless is absolute garbage and waste of money. Still in shock really. How do I feel my family now?!? We love the food at Bonchon's and we always try to get there early b/c they get busy later in the afternoon & evening . They will seat you & then take your order . The servers here are nice & efficient. The restaurant is kind of small 16 tables & a bar top but I rarely see anyone ever sit there. We've brought our friends here & they love it as much as we do . We usually order the KFC soy garlic & Korean spicy bbq , bulgogi & Japchae & bulgogi fries , Soju & Terra , the Korean donuts are all made fresh . We've tried most of their menu & you won't go wrong with anything you order it's delicious . They have a young team of servers & always the 2 women who are there the majority of the time . Try not to go at lunch time , every time we've gone at that time it's packed & week days probably the best time. We ordered the Bulgogi Fries, Bao Buns, Half and Half Chicken (soy garlic and Korean bbq). Bulgogi Fries: Meh - Visually amazing but the flavor was slightly underwhelming. This dish does not hold its heat well so if you're planning to take bonchon togo, I would suggest a different dish. Bao Buns: Meh - I got the pork belly meat option. If you love fried chicken, this place is your jam! I found this place by accident and its pretty good! I like the Korean fusion twist and if you ask for spicy it actually lives up to the name. I ordered the boneless with half and half Spicy and soy garlic (delicious) with a side of rice and kimchi. I also got an order of Korean tacos just to ensure that I could try as much as possible. I haven't been to Bonchon in awhile so I figured let's go there for dinner. It wasn't packed at all on a weekday evening. It's located in the Stoneridge plaza across from the outlets. There are various restaurants (mostly Asian) and lots to choose from! Anyway, we were ready for some Korean fried chicken. Seated right away waiter came by with menus. Decided to try the fried rice plain (didn't add any meat to it) it was quite pleasant with lots of flavor. Size was kind of small but that's okay. Also ordered a 10 piece wings soy garlic. I thought it was too saucy but other than that, it was good. I noticed other tables were ordering the bao buns and tacos. Might have to try that next time. I feel like I always get the chicken wings but I definitely want to branch out to their other items. Nicely lit dining room with Kpop playing and the service was excellent. It packs a good flavor and makes me want to come back for more. The tteokbokki here is solid and they give two crispy potstickers and mozzarella with it too. The service here was alright. They don't provide exceptional service but they get you what you need without being rude. My family and I came across this restaurant after a long day at CarMax which was across the street. After a tiring day we sat down just to rest for less than 5minutes while one of us was ordering food. We placed our order TO GO and was NOT planning on eating at the restaurant because we wanted to hit the road and head home. The lady behind the counter was very rude and automatically insisted we tipped and add 18% gratuity for sitting down! The food was subpar compared to the others I visited; nothing like what I had expected. From the sauce to the rice and ingredients, it wasn't as good as the others I've been to.
