First he was on time, he actually beat me to my own house and I'm very punctual. Once there he explained everything he was going to do before he got started. He thoroughly checked my HVAC unit and reported everything was in proper working condition. When he came inside to check the thermostat he noticed I had a wifi enabled thermostat. My home warranty wouldn't allow him to touch it (liability) but he was able to explain to me what I should look for to be the issue. We discussed the thermostat. Mr. Lyons explained that the thermostat I have is still under warranty and he suggested that I give them a call because they are a great company and stand behind their products and they are probably going to end up sending me a new one based on what we discussed to be the issue. I called them and was off and on the phone with them for 5hr. In the midst of me being on the phone with them I called Mr. Lyons back and explained to him what was going on. He told me to tell them the the system is working in proper condition and the blue wire is the main wire (paraphrased). Once I told the thermostat company that they ran multiple test to the point we blew the fuse troubleshooting. I had to run to Home Depot to get a new fuse!!! Once the thermostat company finally got my AC running they stated that my thermostat is faulty and because it's still under warranty they are sending me a brand new one (Just like Mr.Lyons said) and I can discard the current one once it comes in. If it wasn't for Mr. Lyon's I wouldn't have known my thermostat was still under warranty. I wouldn't have known what to say to them and I wouldn't be sitting in the AC right now. Bottom-line, PLEASE DO NOT let Dino anywhere near your home if you value your life and health. I called Dino to perform a regular maintenance service of my Tankless Water heating unit. Our initial conversation was cordial and I was impressed by his knowledge of the system and the opportunities to improve the work done by the previous installer. After he left, I began to smell natural gas in the utility room where the Tankless unit was installed. I called Dino and he came over to inspect and troubleshoot the problem. He ultimately indicated that the issue was a ramification of activating the recirculating pump on the heater and because the vent/exhaust was in close proximity to the fresh air intake, we were smelling gas more frequently (this had NOT been an issue in the past). He suggested that we run the vent pipe to a location away from the air intake (seemed reasonable) to resolve the issue. He also suggested that I rework the gas lines to the water heater. I informed him that I ONLY wanted to rerun the vent/exhaust as a priority to address the gas smell. I called Dino to inform him that my family and I continue to smell gas (even after following his suggestion to turn off the recirculating feature ). Additionally, several members of my family began falling sick with what we ultimately determined were symptoms of natural gas poisoning (headaches, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, etc). Several calls and texts to Dino went unreturned. I ultimately called a Professional Plumbing service who were able to identify and fix the source of the gas leak. Dino LIED to me and misrepresented the problem. The gas leak was NOT what he described. It was due to the fact that he dismantled the gas lines to the heater and in putting it back, broke one of the pipes. He left my house as a ticking time bomb, saved only by the fact that the furnace was off during the warmer spring weather. Had this occurred during the winter months, we would have had an explosion. His insistence in having me rework the gas line at my cost nonetheless, appears to be a cover-up for this problem he created. Additionally, after the fix, I was informed there was no need to rerun the exhaust line. The professional informed me that contrary to what Dino insisted was the problem, the exhaust vent pipes were fine. Dino tried to extort about $2000 worth of services from me that I didn't need. He is the OPPOSITE of everything he indicates on his website: "We take pride in our unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, going above and beyond to ensure that every client receives prompt, reliable, and personalized service." He's a liar, untrustworthy and uncaring in putting the wellbeing of my family at risk. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid having Dino anywhere near your property.
