This transmission shop also goes by the names of: YS&D Transmission (917) 376-1273 and RK Transmission (718) 856-5566. I live in NJ and found them online. Here is my experience with my 2004 Saturn Ion CVT transmission. The rebuilt transmission they sold me failed within 4 months of purchase. However, they did honor their warranty and even went beyond what was required. In the warranty way down in the fine print, there was an exception which stated that the transmission chain of CVT transmission are except from the parts warranty. While this it just plain stupid (what else would fail?) they at least fixed it without trying to charge me to fix it. Furthermore, they covered the shipping charges to and from their facility ($270). I only had to pay my local transmission shop several hundred dollars in labor to remove and reinstall it. After they repaired it, I drove the car for two days and the chain broke again. This time I sent the entire car to Brooklyn (which cost me more $$$). Rami agreed to do all the labor of removing the transmission, fixing it, testing it, etc. I have lost thousands of dollars and have been frustrated to no end. I've been without a car for perhaps 2 of the last 6 months dealing with this issue. But I honestly don't know who to blame. Rami or Saturn for making a horrible transmission. All I know is that as soon as I get the car back, I'm selling it and leaving this nightmare behind me. Rami has lost as much money on this transaction as I have. Rami is a scammer, I had a very disappointing experience with him, I brought my Mercedes to him for what seemed like a simple transmission issue, but the repairs took far longer than expected. I was told the car would be ready in few days, but it ended up taking over two weeks with no communication from their side. I had to keep calling to get updates, and each time, I was given a different excuse. When I finally got my car back, the transmission problem wasn't even fully resolved, After spending a significant amount of money, I still had the same problem, I went back to him again after 8 months and he took everything apart and charge me again the same amount and he was so nasty to me it's unbelievable. he's a scam bag big time. All he did was change the valve body 3 times which did not fix the issue! He is smooth talker and I blatant caught him in LIES! He refused to give me a refund and Is NOT upfront! I had to drive back and forth on a car with issues and Lost time from work and had to rent a car, and then started doing my own research with other transmission people as I came across giving him the info they were telling me to get the proper work done from him on my car, the work that he shoud've done from the beginning.. I also had 4 people calling him to get the work done from what I already paid him for in cash! My car had NO IMPROVEMENT AT ALL with my check engine light still on for almost 4 months and then when when he finally did the transmission work after begging and pleading him for months by me and then 3 other people I had calling him, for him to do the right transmission work he was already paid for.. he finished it and parked my car on the street knowing that my inspection and registration had expired in Sept due to his negligence and he still parked my car on the street knowing this and I got aTICKET AND had the NERVE to try and charge me an additional $1,200 on top the $950 I already gave him when he finally completed the work that he was trying to deny needed to be done!? by going into the transmission and replacing worn parts which is what I had been begging him to do for months! Then he got so mad when we tried to make the final payment by credit card and then threatened to take out all the work he did and put the car on the street because he didnt want to risk a stop payment, so had to run to the bank to pay CaSH ONLY for 2nd time for the final unexpected payment that was not bought up in advance of the work! Bought a "rebuilt" 2003 Acura MDX Transmission from Amir off Ebay in late 2022. We went around Ebay protocol on his suggestions so he could save sellers fees. When I went to install ita few months later I discovered that the ATF cooler return line had most of the screw threads stripped out. Hence I could not screw the line in and finish the install. Cost me $265 additional labor from my trans shop to remove Amir's "rebuilt" trans from my car to reinstall my old one. Once I personally repaired the thread defect got their trans installed I got paperwork from his wife Frany and sent my old transmission to them with the carrier they had chosen. Now 10 months later I never got my $400 core refund nor the extra $265 that Amir promised to cover for my extra mechanic fees because of his transmission thread damage. Unfortunately I learned that Amir has died from cancer in early 2023. So his dad Rami is handling whatever business they run that is still operational. I doubt he'll ever refund my $665. He's messaged me thru Ebay but never replied once I sent him email copies of the core transportation tracking or my email copies that Amir sent promising to make good with me. I think Amir meant well, but their quality was not what they advertised it to be. My present trans shop now has the car after only 1500 miles as it is acting up. Thy told it it does not appear to be a quality rebuild, only a superficial make-to-appear new mock up. As to Amir's 3 year transmission warranty that I was promised? I think that died and followed him to the grave as well. People please find a real Company to handle your trans work. Rami and his departed son did sub standard work and are not worth your time. Scam Artists. Ordered a transmission from them for a vehicle. Saw there listing on ebay. Called them and they asked me to pay over the phone instead and save the fees. Installed transmission and it lasted two months. They made me buy a $400 part that didnt work. Fought with them for 4 months trying to return the transmission and finally they sent me a shipping label and picked it up. I call everyday and get the run around. Still have not got my money back. they have their transmission and $1400 of my money not including my labor. Don't trust them. Very happy with the transmission I got sent from Rami in New York to Calfornia for my 2004 Honda hybrid. It would have been 5 stars if it had shipped out a little faster than it did. I only spoke with Rami and receptionist by phone and they were able to send out the hard to find parts that my local guy couldn't get. Great Warantee too! We waited four weeks for our CD4E transmission to show up after we purchased it on Ebay. It did not work. Not even for a millisecond. Rami incoherently blamed our certified ASE shop that installed the transmission for the preliminary failure. Next, he sent another transmission to our shop at no expense. (Three weeks later) This one worked. I asked him to pay for the install of the first malfunctioning transmission. He wouldn't. 90 days without a working vehicle and two installs at my expense... In hindsight, it was a terrible experience and would not recommend Rami Transmission to anyone ever. There are other posts on the web that have had similar experiences as well. Rami has built 4 Transmissions for me and doing the 5th for me to Pick up TODAY. The first Transmission was a 4R100 and there was an issue with it upon installation but this was quickly resolved. The NEW Solenoid Pack was defective, this is not something he would have control over. He has also done a 4L60E, 4L80E, and a E4OD with Zero issues... Today, he is building a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid (CVT Transmission). Rami is one of the very few who can rebuild a Hybrid CVT Transmission in the Country. He is very knowledgeable and stands behind his work. One of the things that people do is shop for Price and he is Very Very Reasonable. One of the drawbacks is the time and distance issues. New Parts fail, this is not something he can control. I am 200 miles away and I drive to drop off and he has rebuilt on the spot for an Immediate need. ASE Master certified Honda Technician for 19 years here. I ordered and installed a transmission from Amir and his Dad after getting a great promise of warranty coverage from Amir. He promised they "all get dyno-tested and new upgraded torque converters and external coolers. It came with no cooler, the gaskets from the absent solenoids and sensors weren't even cleaned off, and the torque converter looks exactly the same as the one we removed from the original transmission. Later Amir told me that "not every transmission gets tested." The transmission we put in the 04 Pilot was DOA. No third gear. We double and triple checked our work then let them know we had a problem. We called and they wanted us to "try" some things first. We did those with no change in third gear. Spent a couple of hours, after 2 days waiting to get answers from them, trying to diagnosed the bad transmission as they requested. They finally agreed to ship another one and "take care" of the labor we already had invested. The transmission never showed up or even shipped out. After multiple phone calls and messages, Amir, and his father stopped answering and never sent the replacement transmission. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company to get anything done. Amir changed his story and the "facts" about the products and policies several time over the many conversations we had until he stopped answering. Still waiting for an answer from Amir at RK Transmission a.k.a. Rami Transmission a.k.a. bestdealtransmissionsandparts on eBay, to tell me why they couldn't provide a working transmission or even answer the phone. Buyer beware!! read more

Do not do it! I cannot express my feelings enough! Just do not allow Rami Transmissions or YS&D Engine to suppy you with a remanufactured (suposedly) transmission. If you live within walking distance of the shop them perhaps you have a chance in hell of receiving satisfaction. Unfortunately If you are using them via the internet to provide you with a replacement transmission then prepare to be ripped off! The deceit and dishonesty runs throughout this FAMILY operation. I call shipper! Oh yeah we have pick up scheduled, But we do not even deliver to California! WTF! This is over a period of a week where they dodge your phone number. I am now only getting thru by using friends cell phones from out of state numbers!! OMG then the numerous hang ups on me and the promisses to call back. I have no idea what people's complaints are about....I found them on ebay and drove 2hrs to brooklyn to purchase a trans. They were friendly, family orientated, and open. When I returned back to my shop and installed trans it didnt work. Rk transmissions was immediately responsive and more than helpful. I brought them the transmission and they opened it in front of me. I am a mechanical person and didnt need to be told, I saw that we had incorrectly installed the torque converter upon installation. At no fault to rk transmision they still warranteed it. Repaired it immediately AT NO CHARGE. I AM NOT A FAMILY MEMBER I DO NOT KNOW THEM PERSONALLY. If I could give a lower rating I would. I purchased an Audi CVT transmission in January. As soon as it was installed by the Audi Certified Shop, it was apparent that the unit was faulty. Long story and several Thousand dollars later, I still do not have a replacement transmission!!. I have been given the run around, outright lied to by Rami,Amir,Adam and Franny. They have gone so far as to give me a fake bill of lading and stopped taking my calls. Do not use them!!!. I went to them to replace and O2 Sensor on my Toyota so that my car could pass inspection. Needless to say, I returned approx. 4 times to rectify the problem (I wasted time & money). He altered an O2 Sensor and placed it in my car and charged me alot of money--I wouldn't have know that it was altered if I didnt take it to a different mechanic and he told me to take it back. My car even broke down on the Highway, because the onboard computer couldn't read the add'l problem due to the O2 sensor engine light (computer couldn't reset)..He even had the nerve to ask for additional $$ to rectify the problem. I purchased a transmission from them for my Honda accord. I arranged to get it put in the car and had the car towed to the garage. It was installed and when I first drove the care the transmission was slipping. I called and I was told to change the transmission oil so I did. There was no change. The transmission kept slipping. SO I found a used transmission and again had it installed. It took a while to get the trucking company to pick up the transmission but it was returned. I received no call or email. They will not respond to my request for refund. These people do not Honor their warranty They will not refund your money. These people will take your money and deliver a poor product.
