Misael came by to provide a quote on the same day and came back two days later, on Saturday, to remove two fallen trees. Misael and his crew did a fine job cutting and removing the trees, and cleaned the site very well. They worked very fast and were done in less than couple hours. This is the second time I have used Misael and his crew. I highly recommend them for saving my home and my neighbor's home from the danger of a rotting, weak and aging 60-ft tall palm tree which they cut on the spot. They were originally there for a simple trim of three palm trees, but discovered a gaping hole in one trunk with water damage inside which made the tree weak and ready to snap any day. The first time I used their service, they got rid of two of the gigantic 40-year old juniper shrubs that looked like they were about to swallow the front facade of my house. Wonderful experience working with Misael! He was the first to respond with tips and then came over and helped trim it. My problem was I moved into a home with a lemon tree-but I know nothing of gardening. I literally can kill a cactus. Our landscapers have been cutting the tree like a bush and our tree just wasn't fruiting. I was even contemplating uprooting it and replacing it. As soon as Misael came over, he told me that his brother in law has the same kind of lemon tree and bears really good fruit. He offered to trim it and was able to cut it so I could pick the fruit once it bears fruit. He gave a lot of great advice and tips to get it to fruit and to care for it! He was able to come by that afternoon to look at my tree and he gave me a very reasonable quote. We really wanted to be able to give these guys 5 stars. They have a bunch of other great reviews and worked hard all day and into the night at our house trimming two huge palm trees. But there were several things that happened that I believe are worth sharing as part of a fair review. These guys broke several things at our property during their work day. One thing here or there as an accident is understandable. A palm frond fell onto our sprinkler system and busted a pipe, gushing water everywhere. We then had to spend time turning off the water to the house and were without water for several hours. But we're willing to call that a reasonable issue that sometimes pops up. However, they opted to fix the issue themselves and did such a bad job that the pipe burst again several days later and gushed water all night. We woke up at 6:30am to low water pressure and once we figured out what happened, we called them to rectify the issue. We asked at that point that they send an actual plumber to complete the job. Misael, the owner of the company, was vague on committing to sending a plumber or when it would happen. Still we gave him the benefit of doubt and waited for an update from him. By 11:30am--5 hours later--we still hadn't heard anything, so we called back. When we called back and requested that he send a certified plumber, he refused to do so and said that if we wanted a certified plumber to fix the issue then we would have to pay for it ourselves. This is something their insurance should have covered, but it seems they didn't want to use it (or maybe don't have any?) The job we were asking for a plumber to do was probably an easy fix, but given that these guys had messed it up already, I wasn't comfortable with them doing it again and I explained to him that because they caused the problem, they needed to eat the cost to fix it. Unfortunately, that's just the way it goes sometimes and that's how a good business handles things. Misael then hung up on me. That was the main issue that happened, but as I mentioned, there were several others that just were not professional either: 1. We requested and confirmed several times that the trimming of the palm trees would include trimming of the seed branches as well since the seeds make a huge mess. They assured us several times that they would do that. However, they did not do it with either tree until we brought it up again. They finally trimmed the seeds on one of the trees and left them on the other. 2. They broke several fence panels with falling palm fronds. They did put them all back up, but two of them are split and will likely need additional repair. 3. They didn't do a great clean up job and now we'll need to spend additional time cleaning up. Our neighbor had to do the same. 4. They left some of their garbage in our backyard from throughout the day. Not a huge deal, but on top of all the other things, it just left a sense of unprofessionalism. All in all, other than the trees, they left our place worse than they found it, and they offered no concessions for work they did not do (seeds) or the damages (broken pipe and broken fence). I'm sure many others will have fine experiences if hiring this company, but if a bunch of things go wrong, this is the type of response (or lack of response) you might get. read more
