I had a job to trim, thin out, 5 redwood trees and 3 Atlas Cedar trees. also to top off an over grown sycamore Tree; prune and shape a Pear Tree and pruning a Palm tree. The tree was last cut 4-5 years ago and is now getting too dense, too heavy and a bit dangerous on a windy day. I got the referral from a friend who had used One Two Tree Care last year. So I called for an appointment and a quote Their response was prompt and on time. I got a quote for ~35% less than a vendor I used previously and Eugene, the estimator and team leader of the crew, discussed with me on how I want to have them cut. He listen attentively, and offered his professional advise. We finalize on the job and set it for today hoping that the 4 raining days will stop. However, it is still raining in the morning, I called and asked if they want to postpone; but the crew said they are ready and can go ahead with it as the rain will stop in an hour or so. They started around 8:00 am and finished around 1 pm. All cutting were taken care of and hauled away for shredding, my drive way was blown clean of dust and debris, nothing was damaged and broken from the falling tree limbs. The trees, especially the Redwood and Cedars turned out looking great, as the way I had requested. The Sycamore, Plum and Palm all turned out the way I wanted also. The rain did stopped and the Sun is out now. I am very happy with their work and professional attitude. Fast, clean, good work, and very good value. They give me an impression that they will take instruction and do what the owner wants, but also offer their professional insight for consideration. They are very experienced and professional. My wife and I reside in an "established neighborhood". As such we have older trees on our property. As it occurs, trees require periodic trimming as part of maintenance and the trees health. We had One Two Tree Care remove 2 large Italian cypress trees and a birch tree that was sick and needed removal. The crew was very good: took all 3 trees out in about 2 1/2 hours, including cleanup. Robert came back afterwards to grind out the stumps, which was a great deal of work due to all the landscape rocks around the trees. We have a fairly large avocado tree and another tree that we let get a little out of control, so it was time for a big pruning, From my initial contact with Jon, things moved along professionally and friendly. I am so thankful I found Jon and his company, One Two Tree Care. On August 28th, my mature valley oak heritage tree dropped a huge branch across my backyard (most likely due to "sudden branch drop syndrome," brought on by the drought and the extreme heat of 100 degrees that day). I was very fortunate no one was in the backyard when it fell and that it didn't damage any fences or the garage. I quickly obtained many quotes for the tree's removal (or its significant pruning, although I just had the tree pruned 30 days prior - to the day - because I had noticed a much smaller branch had fallen onto my roof). Jon was extremely responsive and was able to provide me with an initial quote based on the photos I provided.  (Once he arrived in person, he needed to revise the quote as it was difficult to capture the full canopy of the tree based solely on the photos and the older Google map photo of my property.  Despite that, his revised quote was still very competitive). Once the city quickly determined that the tree needed to be removed (especially since it dropped another branch a few days later after the large limb failure), Jon let me know that we could move forward without obtaining an encroachment permit (as requested by the city), as his crew would not be blocking street traffic (or using a crane/bucket truck). He was very knowledgeable about the city's requirements for the removal of heritage trees (even responding over the Labor Day weekend). His expert crew worked very hard and did an outstanding job. It was amazing to watch them remove the limbs - using their expertise in selecting the branches, based on their size and weight, so that when they severed a limb, they could safely lower it to the ground.  Because it was such a large tree, the job took 4 days: 3 days to cut the tree down to a stump (as the large canopy extended over two other adjacent properties), and 1 day to break down and cart off the large trunk and remaining limbs. They left my place spotless, even leaf blowing my roof and porches, as well as the roof on my neighbor's shed and another neighbor's porch area.  Jon and his crew were such a pleasure to work with. I requested a quote from One Two Tree Care through yelp after getting a request from my HOA that my tree needed to be trimmed significantly within 30 days. I was worried about the timeline as we were approaching the holidays. I requested several quotes on Yelp. Jon was the first to respond with a very reasonable and competitive quote. I decided to take the tree down completely (requested to leave the stump) since the tree has been quite a nuisance dropping seeds pods all over my small patio. Last year they cut down two trees and were good-cashed my check immediately! Then I had them come back and do stump grinding and they broke my sprinkler in three places-I took off $$ what it cost to fix the pipes and they didn't cash my check for a month after I took off what the cost was to fix the pipes!! After a bunch of incompetent pruners (they'd claimed they knew what needs to be done to my hibiscus, bougainvilleas, jasmin, lemon tree,... and they made a mess), and after a few flaky contractors from Yelp (one didn't show up two days in a row!! don't they know there's such thing as the possibility of 'bad reviews' on Yelp?), communication and efficiency with Jon was almost hard to believe. Jon sent out Robert to assess the situation. Robert was very knowledgeable and besides what I wanted done on the above mentioned shrubs and trees, Robert also suggested work on the avocado tree, which was wayyyyyy overdue, but I was scared to hear the price... but Robert provided a very reasonable price, and I decided to go for it. The crew arrived this morning to do the work. They came, they did a terrific job, and left a super clean area. I wanted to help with the cleanup, as I need some kind of workout (this pandemic ugh... working from home and no enough exercise), but they were too quick themselves, and left me with nothing to do. I finally have a competent team to handle my shrubs and trees!!! I have plenty of time to do pruning, but I know I don't do it correctly. They trimmed 3 fruit trees, wisteria, lilac and removed 3 trees. The trees which needed removal were very close to the terrace and stone wall. The team arrived on time and were professional and efficient. They did an excellent job and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The original crew didn't feel that the grinding of the small stumps after the tree removals would be safe to complete which I understood due to their location. Now to the specifics Stage 1 : I have decided to prune 3 Trees in my property 2 of them were reasonably complex one to tackle. I used homeguide.com to get quotes from few Tree care companies and I found the quote from "onetwotreecare.com" reasonable. The most amazing part was Jon give a quote without even looking at the job complexity himself. Stage 2 : Change of mind, We decided to trim 2 trees and completely remove one tree. Again As usual Jon gave me a Reasonable Quote for the same without any hesitation unlike other Tree Companies. Stage 3: Crew came on time. Did a fantastic job in no time. cleaned up the whole area, including the old mess. But, Since I was away I couldn't pay them. Jon said as if I'm his well known friend, Pay me Later ..
