This is arguably the best tomato pie around. Nite through cooked crust and a sweeter pizza sauce. Most pie has a softer crust. This is great stuff. Tomato Pie

Can you believe that I lived in upstate NY for about 3/4 of my life and I had never experienced "tomato pie?" I know. Me neither. They keep it super simple: dough (nice subtle crunch), tomato sauce (on the sweeter side) & a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. I ate it cold. and then later had a slice warmed up. Both were great. Next road trip through Utica- best believe I'm stopping by for another pie.

When visiting family in Utica. It is always a treat to get some tomato pie. First time having it from here and it blew me away. Very flavorful definitely would come back.

if you love stale dry day old semi frozen tomato pie and bread this is your kind of place. I would rather get Little Caesar's.

Fresh tomato pie was worth the 400 mile detour. That crunchy crust and sweet sauce is wow.

Pizza dough is amazing. Freezes well. Definitely going to stock up for the winter. Worth the trip from Rome.

The delight of a tomato pie is obviously it's simplicity (a square pie with basil, shaked parm, and marinara.

Love this location as it is larger and is the main bakery and they tend to have more of a selection. However, I got there early this morning and was shocked to see lot crowded with lots of out of state cars. Realized it was the Boilermaker weekend which brings in a large number of people. Can't complain as I got the loaf of bread I came in for. Love their italian bread.

Over the…read morefollowing weeks, I contacted the bakery multiple times and was repeatedly told the order had been made and shipped. Despite those assurances, I never received any shipping confirmation or tracking information--and the order never arrived. Because of this, we had to scramble at the last minute to replace the items for our event, which was both stressful and avoidable. The most concerning part of this experience was not just the failure to deliver, but the repeated claims that the order had shipped when it clearly had not, combined with a lack of ownership throughout the process. Multiple messages and calls went unanswered or unresolved, and no one proactively followed up. I also reached out directly to ownership and received no response. After nearly a month, a refund was finally issued--but only after continued persistence on my end. Polite interactions aside, the overall experience showed a serious breakdown in communication, accountability, and basic customer service. I would strongly encourage others to proceed with caution.

The café is located right next to Nancy Ford Photography. It can be a bit difficult to spot due to limited visibility, but parking itself is not an issue. There are shared slanted parking spots in front with neighboring businesses, as well as additional parking available behind the restaurant, which is convenient once you know it is there. The interior is hip, bright, and welcoming. Seating is somewhat limited, but despite that, we were always able to find a place to sit without having to wait. The space feels modern and casual, suitable for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. The food was good overall and service was fast. We ordered the Pancake Board, Spin Art, and a veggie omelette. The Spin Art was my favorite. It was soft, flavorful, and melted in the mouth. The Pancake Board was extremely well executed and fun to share, and the veggie omelette was solid. Coffee, however, was not their strongest item. One nice touch is that water is free and self-serve, which is always appreciated. It can get crowded inside on Saturdays, and since there is no outdoor seating, the moderate ambient noise from other customers makes it less ideal for long conversations or quiet chats. Doug, the owner, was friendly and genuinely eager to help when I had an issue using my $5 off "cupcake points." Although he was not able to resolve it immediately, he did eventually figure it out, so I will be using the coupon on my next visit. Overall, this is a solid local spot with good food, efficient service, and a welcoming vibe. Recommended, especially if you plan ahead for peak weekend hours. Keep up the good work, Knead to Eat Bakery & Cafe.
