Today with the entire family (11) we visited Ramona's Cafe, which is just a few blocks away from our house, we never noticed it because it is tucked in behind the Clarksville Inn. We found what we were looking for. A cozy place, with great food, very amicable service. From the time we walked in, we felt that we knew Pat and Ramona for years! They made us feel at home. Incredible food, service, and hospitality. My buddies and I stopped into Ramona's Café on our way up to Harriman State Park for a weekend camping trip. Upon arrival the chef immediately walked out with water and bacon treats for our two dogs. We ordered the avocado toast, beef sliders, turkey and Swiss wrap, fruit bowl, and a side of bacon. Found this charming little place on Yelp and I am glad I did. Very small and very friendly staff. My only issue was that the hash browns which was supposed to be crispy really wasn't. It wouldn't cause me not to come back but next time I know to mention that I would like them crispy. The food and service were good. read more

Amazing experience with Ramona's! The atmosphere was warm and the people friendly. We found this place on yelp and decided to check it out. SOOOO GLAD WE DID!!! The food was fabulous, the presentation fantastic and the service impeccable! Family owned and run, very nice people and service. The space itself is so quaint, clean & bright! Great cup of coffee, the yogurt parfait was delicious- whipped yogurt, yummy granola and scrumptious honey. The avocado toast with over easy eggs- sensational! I loved the atmosphere, and the food was pretty good (In line with normal breakfast food), but we waited an hour for our food... And it wasn't busy... And we ordered breakfast food! That's just a ridiculous wait for omelets and pancakes. Even after an hour, the food came out in a piecemeal fashion... Pancakes came out but not the bacon that comes with them. Omelets didn't come out until 5 to 10 min later and one entree at a time. It was simply too long to wait for the food we received. They need to do some streamlining in their kitchen. read more

We were excited to try this place since it has 5 stars on yelp. Unfortunately, it did not live up to its reputation. Prices are not bad and the owner is very nice. My boyfriend tried to order the pizza fritta, and we were informed that they ran out. He ordered something else and we waited for our food. I ordered the French grilled cheese. After 20 minutes of waiting for our food, the waitress comes out to tell me they are out of brie... She asked if I wanted a different cheese or to look at the menu. I ended up changing to a different cheese. Two of the four meals we ordered came out quite a bit earlier. I expected mine to take longer, but the waffles ended up coming out much later than everyone else's meals. The "Vermont maple syrup" was Aunt Jemima. When I did get my grilled cheese, it also didn't even have the apricot spread on it and they took it back to add it. Like I said, the owner was very nice and they did end up comping my grilled cheese. He also listened graciously when I let him know that the people we can see in the kitchen were all supposed to be wearing hats or hair nets according to NYS health codes. Service was slow but the food was very good and well worth the wait .we came here for breakfast I had 2 eggs and bacon the eggs were delicious and the bacon was crispy my wife had the poached eggs with avocado the avocado was just ripe and nice and sweet the coffee although over priced was fresh and flavorful read more

We have eaten here five times now. Each time has been better than the last. The menu is very unique. The "two eggs in a nest" is my new favorite breakfast. The flavor and textures are amazing. My family and I went for a drive up to West Nyack and stopped for a bite at this charming Cafe. I had the Omelet filled with cheddar, onions, spinach and crab. It was fluffy and delicious. My husband had the Cuban sandwich which he said was perfectly marinated throughout and the baguette is a great combination. My son had the Turkey chili with the works, a delicious combo of sour cream, onions and cheddar. The service was friendly and attentive. And the prices were phenomenal! This morning my wife and I found a cafe in a quaint stand-alone building tucked behind the historic Clarksville Inn in West Nyack, NY. When we walked through the door we were immediately greeted by a smiling, friendly waitress who ushered us to a table near a window. The table had a white linen covering it and a single white rose in a glass sitting in the middle of the table which added to the charming atmosphere. We found the venue to be inviting and warm as was the food. My wife ordered eggs, bacon and hashed brown potatoes; she commented that everything was fresh and delicious. I ordered the Pretty French Toast(they name the various dishes with clever descriptions) along with fresh fruit. It was prepared from challah bread and it was fresh and light. We look forward to returning soon and will highly recommend this not-for-long secret in Rockland County to other friends. read more
