Crab Cake Benny and a Mimosa
    Bryan L.

Ramona's Kitchen has perhaps Toronto's widest variety of Eggs Benedicts. The best part is that the two we tasted, the Schnitzel Benny and Crab Cake Benny were exceptional. Will be back to taste the other 9 bennys. The breakfast bowl was also a pleaser with 3 poached eggs, smoked salmon and greens. Beyond the bennys the menu for brunch and lunch is very enticing. Definitely will need to come back for Chicken waffles, Challah French Toast and double chocolate pancakes. Service was good, restaurant small but very clean and comfortable, portions generous and prices while on the higher side not unreasonable. coffee was better priced than some of the other places recently visited. Ramona's may become our go to brunch spot.

Dad's Breakfast with turkey bacon, Peabody Bacon, Sourdough toast, Strawberry French toast, homefries and mixed greens

This place is amazing! We ordered the Dad's Breakfast (which I had Peameal Bacon, turkey bacon, sourdough toast, scrambled eggs and strawberry French toast), Greek Omelette, Fish Sandwich, Fish & Chips, and Banana bread French toast. The two breakfast plates came with Home fries and mixed greens. The crisp homefries melted in my mouth! I didn't know what to expect with the Peameal Bacon (first time trying). It was a mix between ham and a thinly sliced pork chop.... Absolutely delicious!!! Even the coffee was amazing. The server was friendly and our food came out quickly. The restaurant was clean with nice ambiance.

Ramona's is always consistently good! We checked out their Leaside location this time, and we all ended up ordering the eggs Benny. My favourite is always the crab cake eggs Benny. Service was friendly and efficient, even on a busy Saturday morning. The restaurant is cozy and bright, and makes for a great spot to catch up with friends.

Don't go after 6pm my pancakes were burned at the bottom not fluffy. My daughter had poutine she loved said it was the best. Servicecwas good quick we were the only ones there. That's why I was shocked my pancakes were dry and over cooked had to ask for double syrup couldn't finish them.

There's nothing I like more than a good brunch spot, and this restaurant delivers a hearty punch. I ordered the poached eggs, with avocado and side salad, along with a latte. Everything was very tasty, service was fast and the restaurant has a nice aesthetic. There are a few locations. This one is promising.

Incredible food! I ate here once and ordered to go three times. All times the food was 10/10. I ate with a large group of 12 people plus 4 kids. All of us very were pleased with our meals. We were greeted very well and were very happy with the service overall. It's not easy to please that many people with very different tastes and preferences. My favorite was the Salmon plate and the Blue Lavender Macha Latte.

Looking for a quick lunch stop on Bayview and tried this place. Small interior restaurant space. Menu offers brunch, breakfast and lunch items. They don't do substitutions for side items. We tried the salmon plate no mashed potatoes with kale salad, turkey burger, vanilla milkshake. Tumeric latte was interesting. Salmon plate was nicely done. Kale salad was wholesome and had good fruit mix. Turkey burger was a healthy option. Portions are smallish but worked for us. Overall great place for a quick bite.

Love how they poached (soft) the eggs

On Family Day, we decided to go a bit far for our brunch. Searched in Yelp and we picked this tiny restaurant. We always love that neighborhood. There were so many new brunch locations added into the mix in the last couple of years, of course, some went out of business. We ordered Crab cake Benny and Avocado omelet. Both were of big portion. Surprised that the potatoes were of different types. Baked but not overcooked. The other impressed side was the mixed green. The vinaigrette was so delicious. The Avocado omelet was very good. The Crab cake was a bit mushy inside but that good size shrimp was another surprise. The hollandaise sauce was good too. Staff were friendly but a bit pushed to collect our empty plates when the restaurant had no lineup when we finished our food.

    Nutella latte.

The food is good and well priced meals. A very cozy atmosphere and in a great neighbourhood. I especially loved the Nutella drink, delicious.

Chicken & Waffles and Crab Cake Benny

Was excited to find Ramona's in the Bayview and Eglinton area! It has been one of my top uptown brunch spots for a while. Had the Schnitzel Chicken and Waffles and the chicken was crispy and waffle was so soft and fluffy. The crab cake benny has always been a favourite and tasted great again. However, kind of disappointed they didn't have any nice latte art. Service was quick and restaurant was cozy.

Thanks to Ramona's Kitchen for this experience and the team working in the place.

From the hostess to the waitstaff. All very polite and welcoming. We observed them with other guests and they seemed very patient with the loud kids...and adults to be fair. LOL We had the big skillet both days as well as the breakfast sandwich. While there were some variances, we enjoyed both experiences. The first visit was better in my opinion - the potatoes were tender and not overcooked and my fruit cup didn't have a lot of cantaloupe. I have shared pictures of the menu as well. We had sparkling water and diet cola both times. Our beverages never ran dry. There is an upstairs that overlooks the first floor dining area. We wondered if anyone had ever spilled a beverage that landed on guests below. We could definitely see the possibility of that happening. They also had a nice patio, however, on the hotter days, not sure how enjoyable the city smell would be while trying to eat. Interesting - they only had one bathroom. So we observed a line. And there are tables right next to the door. I would avoid those seats if possible. A little too close to the restroom in my opinion. If we are in the area again, we would definitely eat here again, although they may be at the new location if we visit in the future. I look forward to seeing the upgraded features at the new location.

Pierina guided us via phone and even came outside of the restaurant and waved as we approached. That was awesome Customer service as well as kindness. Ambiance was chill inside. Especially liked the artwork and table with their name on it. I had the Nutella latte, Nutella and strawberry waffle, and a side of sausage. Didn't like the sausage at all (tasted a bit gamey) but that's probably because ein the states there are nitrates, etc that make it taste better. No biggie! She switched it out for bacon, and that was fine and appreciated. My sister had the breakfast tacos that looked delicious and she really enjoyed. All in all this was a great pick and I would return when im Canada ever again and I'm in the area. Keep up the great work, Pierina. Her welcoming attitude attentiveness and knowledge of the menu was stellar and warrants recognition. Thank you!!!

The almond croissant, when you're lucky enough to claim one before nine, delivers a genuinely impressive balance of shattering, buttery layers and a filling laced generously with almond cream, more Parisian in spirit than most bakeries attempting the same feat across this city. Even the raspberry version, when available, carries the same confident hand in the kitchen. The coffee program deserves equal praise. A well pulled latte and a properly balanced cappuccino suggest a team that treats espresso with the same seriousness as their pastry case, and it shows in the cup. Where the experience finds room to grow is in the choreography of the space itself. The room is petite, charming in its cobalt blue framed way, but the flow between ordering and pickup can feel cramped during a rush, and seating fills quickly. The patio, however, is a genuine reward, a shaded perch worth claiming on a slow afternoon. This is a cafe operating with real ambition and skill, let down only occasionally by its own popularity. Arrive early, claim a croissant while you still can, and settle onto the patio; you'll leave understanding exactly why regulars keep coming back.

The line moved quick, even though it wrapped around, we waited for about 20 minutes only. The menu has some cool items, a few fusion dishes and trendy items. Awesome presentation and definitely Instagram worthy. I got the huevos rancheros, it was more like an egg burrito with beans, sauce and potatoes on top. The potatoes were probably my favourite out of everything. It was good but not the traditional you would expect. My friends sadly did not like their eggs benedict. The coffee was also average, not very strong or fragrant. Service was absolutely terrible. Our sever took so long to come, we see him just chatting in the corner. It was hard to flag him down for anything. It was not a nice experience. The menu does have some other cool items I do want to try (pancakes and french toast)... so maybe I will give it another shot if I am in the area one day.

Very friendly service (server was Crystal). Sat outside and still was attended to attentively - typically worried that patio seating gets less attention but that wasn't the case here. The menu excited me as brunch usually is a choice between sweet or savoury, but they have various options with both. Got the Indecisive with the eggs poached medium ( would recommend soft for future or sunny side up). The pistachio latte was yummy but with the matcha pancakes it became too sugary of a meal. Overall a casual yet put together vibe. Great for friends, dates, solo, or family. Washrooms not the cleanest, but the dining area was good. Did notice a few more birds than typical patios (tried to eat our scraps as we were waiting for the bill).

Food (3.5/5) - the menu is a combination of small and large plates ideal for sharing. A cosmopolitan menu of diverse items from many different cuisines. - Baja Caesar Salad - baby romaine, corn, caesar dressing, agave bacon, croutons, grana padano, chili spice. This was pretty good, romaine was fresh and sauce not too overpowering with a slight kick to it. - Coconut Shrimp with mango salsa, lime, chipotle aioli. Also pretty good... shrimp was cooked fine and the garnishes worked with it. - Tuna Ceviche with avocado, cilantro, corn, red onions, leche de tigre, cancha, plantain. This one was average. The sashimi chunks were pretty average and the overall mix seemed to lack flavour and moistness. - Hamachi Crudo with avocado, elderflower, pickled strawberry, jalapeño, pistachio, basil, olive oil. This was one pretty bad... some of the worst hamachi I have ever had! Overly fishy and off-colour. Service (4/5) - server and assistants were friendly and generally attentive. Some lapses in check ins from time to time. Rooftop is first come, first serve so a reservation does not mean you will be seated quickly and may have to hang out in the interior bar or tables until ready. Atmosphere (4.75/5) - you really cannot top the view from Kost. It has multiple look out areas besides the patio dining area by the infinity pool. They have a raised photo pedestal which is ideal to take pictures with the Tower, Rogers Centre and lake in the background. They also have some trendy couches and sitting areas as well. The interior dining area is also pretty good with window views outside and a California vibe to it. Overall (4/5) - Yes, the food is on the average side for the price. However, it really is a great atmosphere for dining, even if sitting inside. It is a bucket list destination at a minimum and worth a repeat imo.
