Food is great and the operator, Ron, is hands on but gives you all the space you want. We stayed there for a long weekend while out for a wedding. I had not been in Woodland Park ever... closest I had been was CO Springs a few years prior. We researched locations in Woodland Park hard a few months before. Most of the alternatives seemed kind of cheap while we researched. The reality was true ... when we passed and saw most of the alternatives they were in fact misleading in their descriptions. The place recommended for guests at the wedding were clearly not going to work for me. Everyone was kicking themselves when they dropped in to visit us at PPP to check it out. Pikes Peak Paradise is hands down the best option around. I highly recommend.

I was thankful for how kind and welcoming the owners are. They made lovely breakfast and they've lived in the area for decades so they are able to give recommendations for local sites, restaurants, and travel routes. They were friendly and happy to chat but also happy to give me space and alone time. My room had a queen bed and an attached bathroom. There was no TV in my room but there is free WiFi. It was a very cold winter weekend but they had extra blankets. They also have a hot tub out back and they're surrounded by pretty woods.

So here's my honest advice: Book one night in the big suite, don't interact with management or the events team, eat somewhere else, and leave. You'll actually enjoy yourself. Here's the reality: It's gorgeous on the outside. But in my experience, there's no soul or integrity behind the facade. The service culture feels stuck in a bygone era - and not in a charming way. The locker rooms are cramped, poorly maintained, and frankly, they smell. The food is forgettable. The spa feels pretentious and operates on what I can only describe as a 1987 business model. I was told I'd need to order a nail job just to access the steam room. Make it make sense. The concierge was genuinely lovely - but it felt like her hands were tied by management's outdated approach. She seemed to want to help more than the system would allow. The events department was, in my experience, a major disappointment. Communication felt disorganized and unresponsive. When I asked for a simple proposal, I was told they "couldn't possibly do that for every inquiry" - in 2025, when AI tools can generate a polished, customized proposal in minutes. I tested it myself using Canva and Claude with their own metrics. Took me four minutes. The resistance to modernizing felt deliberate. Outside of the top-tier suites - which are reasonably priced by Colorado standards ---this felt like a mediocre hotel calling itself a resort. It is not The Broadmoor. It is not a Four Seasons. Those places deliver hospitality with humanity. This felt more like a zombie party with a great view. My honest opinion? It feels like ownership is either disengaged, burnt out, or simply no longer pursuing excellence. That said - if you're a Colorado local, the 10% room discount is a nice touch. Choose your room wisely, skip on-site dining, and check out 503W nearby for great prices and actual atmosphere. For corporate events? I'd look elsewhere.

One queen size the other with a Twin over full bunk bed. The beds were super comfy. There was also a full kitchen and a couch that laid down into a full-size bed. We stayed for two nights before leaving Colorado. It was very quiet. We enjoyed spending the evening on the front porch playing cards. We were welcomed when checking in and also made breakfast every morning in an adorable lodge at the front of the resort. The lady (sorry bad with names) who checked us in was also at the breakfast bar every morning to make the best waffles we have ever had. No exaggeration...MUST try the waffles. We would definitely stay when in the area again. Way more fun and better value then a boring hotel room.

You have TV and DVD (there are some movies to chose from), wireless, coffee and tea along with creamer and sweeteners, eating utensils, a dorm fridge/freezer--basically everything a hotel would give you, only a little more and of nicer quality. We had our own private hot tub off the back of the caboose Lynda, the owner, was fabulous, and helped us out with dining suggestions, even keeping us apprised of weather and potential flash flooding warnings. We followed her recommendations and weren't disappointed. I highly recommend the breakfast as well. We were greeted at our door in the morning to mimosas, then bacon and eggs, and a delicious type of fresh fruit tart/pancake. I'm already dreaming up reasons to come back in the winter as I'm certain it'll be even more cosy.
