Very friendly staff. Beautiful location with views of mountains on both sides of the nearby road. They leave a lot of good items in the rooms so you can save some money when you go grocery shopping. Things like dish soap, silverware/dishes, ice, laundry detergent and a few other things were available for us. If you do late check in they will leave a map out for you to find your room which was great for my extremely delayed flight arrival (some cabins don't have room numbers marked so it would be impossible without their maps). We were looking for a quiet getaway, and we found it. From a babbling river and rustling wind and the bugling from the Elk, nature's sounds took over. Our patio looked out over the river and a nice grassy area, where the elk came to eat and rest, providing an amazing photoshoot. Turkey running on the property was another nice surprise. Cherokee (the owner) was pleasant and very friendly, answering all our questions. The area was clean and well-maintained. We have already recommended Riverview Pines to friends and are planning a return visit. If you are looking for a quiet getaway still near the downtown area, I recommend staying here. Excellent location - beautiful river flowing in front of you.. 15 mins walk to the downtown with restaurants and other shops ..famous cinnamon bakery is 5 min walk.. Rocky Mountain national park entrance 3 miles away.. play area for kids to play badminton, volleyball, darts ... sit around the fire pit or fish in the river (fishing poles available at the property for free !! ) barbecue or just read a book on the chair by the river ! I recently stayed in a cabin for three nights and wished I could have stayed longer! Beautiful area that is well maintained both around the property and inside the cabin. Before seeing the property my girlfriend and I thought we would grab dinner/drinks in the town each night, but after seeing the property and amenities we stayed in and grilled. We live in Denver and will certainly stay at Riverview Pines again next time in Estes Park! read more

Don't be deceived by the pictures on the web site. My wife and I wanted to spend a special night in Estes and booked a room on this property. Unit number 25. The pictures looked fantastic and we did not think we could have gone wrong. The room ended up being in an old 12 unit concrete block building that I would consider low income housing. The second you opened the door there was an old musty smell and the interior finish was old and sloppy at best. The bathroom and shower not nice at all. Painted concrete block like the potty at the park. We are very disappointed and would not recommend or return to the property. read more

This is a small family owned property. We were looking for last minute accommodations due to the heavy bear activity in Moraine Park, and almost everything was booked. We happened to call here and they had a riverside room available! The price was cheap, a little below the listed price, and in line with a typical hotel room. The river was really running which made for some pleasant background noise and a great view. The room was super clean, and well laid out. Two comfortable queen beds, a pair of recliners, and dining table and chairs inside. There was a picnic table and several patio chairs outside as well as a grill and well placed benches near the river. My only regret is that we only had one night to stay here. This is just outside of Estes Park, and close to one of the RMNP entrances. There is even a hottub, playground equipment, and fire pit. Fast, free WiFi is also available. read more

Great large room, extremely convenient location just a mile or so to Rocky Mountain National Park entrance or the town of Estes Park, wonderful stream off the deck, great views. The owners and front desk receptionist were very nice and helpful. Extremely clean and the gas fireplace between the front rooms and bedroom provided was awesome! Awesome stay at Riverview! We stayed in one of the rooms not the cabins. It looked over the Fall River! Owner very helpful when asking things to do etc. Plus another experience....there was a bear print on out car when we left one morning. We booked for 3 nights and would definitely go back! read more

Great cabins right on the river and close to the park AND they take pets! My husband and I stay in EP frequently and have stayed at many of the cabins on the river and this is one of the better ones. The cabins are VERY spacious with beautiful linens and comfy mattresses. They have decks with a grill outside and a full kitchen. My only complaint is that they state that they have hot tubs, when in actuality, it's a jetted bathtub in your room. There is a difference. They should advertise that they are jetted bathtubs and not "hot tubs or Jacuzzis." The Manager is awesome and super accommodating. We checked into our cabin, then late that night, the people in the cabin next to us came in and turned on their porch light (which shone right into our bedroom window along with a free-standing courtyard light. The next day, we asked our neighbors nicely if they would turn off their porch light at night as it was like Fort Knox in our room. They refused (weird) saying they liked having a night light and for the record, they never turned off the light the entire time we were there which was the first week in March. I'm not sure what they were afraid of, but whatever. So, I told the Manager about the situation and told her I was willing to go get some tin foil and duck tape and put it on the windows if necessary. She offered to move us to another cabin which was great. Some cabins have the courtyard lights next to the bedroom windows, so if light bothers you, you might want to avoid those cabins, or if you have crazy people in the cabin next to you who refuse to turn off their porch light at night (probably city dwellers). My suggestion to the owner is to put light-blocking blinds on the bedroom windows as they are not expensive. You can buy them at Walmart. They allow pets in certain cabins. read more

We never got the chance to experience the rooms because the very rude staff prevented us from wanting to ever step foot on their property. We had a room reserved but the day of, we discovered that the area was under a flash flood warning for the entire duration of our stay (the weather reports claiming the river would be 5 feet above flood level). Remember that the cabins are right on the river side. Not only that, but there was also a weather warning for severe thunderstorms with hail, damaging winds and a tornado watch. Not wanting to risk our safety just to be stuck in a cabin for 2 days straight, we tried to get a rain check. The woman on the phone was very rude and unhelpful. She told us we'd just have to make the best of it because they have a 30 day cancellation policy. We said we were willing to take a refund or reschedule for whatever date they might have available. She told us they don't offer refunds unless it's 30 days prior, and told us the next available date was in October (4 months away). We said we were willing to take the October date if a refund wasn't possible. I assume she was bluffing with the October date because she put us on hold for "the owner" but came back on herself and said they would just give us the refund because there was nothing they could do to accommodate us. We were even willing to pay extra if we could extend our reservation out so far, but instead we had absolutely zero customer service or help. I will never stay here or recommend it to anyone else. There are plenty of other facilities and hotels that can make you feel welcome. Trying to make this work out was like pulling teeth. read more
