After a thorough examination, Dr. Amin felt that I was not a good candidate for dental implants, due to the bone structure of my jaw. He recommended that I get a bridge instead, which is what I plan to do. If I had gone to see Dr. Amin before I had my dentist put in the two failed implants, I could have saved a lot of time, energy, pain and suffering, and of course the $6,000.00 I spent. I originally chose Dr. Amin as my dentist because he offered sedation (sleep dentistry). My fear of the dentist was out of control that I didn't want to be awake for any of it. The staff could tell I was nervous and everyone (from the front desk all the way to Dr. Amin) was super friendly and made me feel at ease. After I woke up from my procedure, I felt no pain or discomfort. The next time I went in for my teeth cleaning, once again friendly hygienist (she is the best!) and I left feeling no pain. I am super grateful to Dr. Amin and his staff, as they got rid of my fear of the dentist. Now, I get excited for my teeth cleanings and get happy to catch up with the staff. Everything about this doctor and his office is 5 star. The front desk is welcoming and helpful. The nurses and assistants are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and patient. And Dr. Amin is honestly the best of the best. He takes the time to talk to you, make jokes and helps you relax. He has been doing this for a long time and knows that his good quality work and knowledge speaks for itself so he does not push his patients to do unnecessary work. I'm someone who is very nervous about dental work but he administered my IV for sedation so painlessly, I practically didn't feel a thing. It was such a smooth process. Sitting here 9 hours later, I have practically zero swelling and I am up and about like any other day. His office is very modern and clean. He has the best of the best technology with about 4-5 different types of x-ray machines showing different angles. Some of them I had never seen before. His staff is very knowledgeable and kind and even though they do these types of procedures all day everyday, they know that for the patient, they don't. Yet they are still patient with any questions you have and reassurance for those who are very nervous. They treat you like a star patient. Everything about my experience was so great. Once you find a good doctor, you stick to them. Besides all the greatness I mentioned above and more that I know I have missed, the personal details are what makes Dr. Amin and his staff so amazing. After my first consultation, Dr. Amin sent a hand written thank you note for seeing him. And after my procedure, he made sure to personally follow up with me and make sure I was doing okay, even though he was on a flight out of state for work. I'd like to preface this review by stating that I went to Dr. Amin because I was desperate for a dentist to help me so that I could continue my career. If you just want to read a few lines, he is simply the best. And if you are looking for implants, do yourself a favor and go see him. Here is my story if you want to read a little further... When I was 12 I was in an accident that involved me on a bike, my face, and a Jeep. It was a bad accident. When I woke up in the road, my shoulder was dislocated and I was missing some front teeth. It was a horrible accident and it's been an ongoing struggle even now at 39. I had various prosthetics until I was able to get implants at 18. The implants were lifesavers. I got them at UCLA Dentistry and they lasted pretty well up until just recently. When one of the implants chipped I was told that there was no way to really fix it and that I would need new implant crowns. This freaked me out because my job is playing trumpet, and I needed new crowns that matched identically to my previous crowns so that my career could continue without disruption, or at all! Now comes the difficult part. UCLA only kept my records for 7 years. It had been 20 years. So UCLA was only able to give us a vague idea of what my implants might have been. Since the implants were ancient (made in the 1980's), and basically extremely rare ones at that, it was very difficult to find out exactly what hardware was in my mouth. It took a few sessions of back and forth and trial and error to figure it out. Dr. Amin went above and beyond for me looking for that obscure part that was needed to replace my implant. He finally found it and made me exact replica crowns so that I could continue playing trumpet without a hitch. On top of being an extremely nice guy, he is also a fantastic doctor. His staff are also extremely nice and professional. At a time when I felt extremely vulnerable, he took such good care of me. I can't recommend him enough.
