First thing I have to say. Dr. Amin is a lifesaver. I came to his office desperately needing an implant on my front tooth. When I say desperate, I mean it because before coming to him, I had gone through 3 other dentists who overpromised and underdelivered, failure after failure. I found myself missing my front tooth and not knowing what to do or who could take me and fix the other dentist's mistakes. This caused me so much stress, money, and no solutions. I came across Dr. Amin through a friend who also had implant issues from a previous general dentist. The moment walked for my first consultation; I knew I was in the right place. Dr. Amin and his staff were very professional, caring, and very informative. They explained why previous implant attempts did not work and the best solution for my complex case. All I have to say is I wish I had known Dr. Amin sooner before letting my general dentist remove my front tooth, made the implant attempt and leaving me with a mess. Dr. Amin is the man to see if you need a dental implant. Unfortunately, I didn't learn about Dr. Amin until I went to see him about my 2 implants that failed in less than a year after my regular dentist put them in. After a thorough examination, Dr. Amin felt that I was not a good candidate for dental implants, due to the bone structure of my jaw. He recommended that I get a bridge instead, which is what I plan to do. If I had gone to see Dr. Amin before I had my dentist put in the two failed implants, I could have saved a lot of time, energy, pain and suffering, and of course the $6,000.00 I spent. I originally chose Dr. Amin as my dentist because he offered sedation (sleep dentistry). My fear of the dentist was out of control that I didn't want to be awake for any of it. The staff could tell I was nervous and everyone (from the front desk all the way to Dr. Amin) was super friendly and made me feel at ease. After I woke up from my procedure, I felt no pain or discomfort. The next time I went in for my teeth cleaning, once again friendly hygienist (she is the best!) and I left feeling no pain. I am super grateful to Dr. Amin and his staff, as they got rid of my fear of the dentist. Now, I get excited for my teeth cleanings and get happy to catch up with the staff. I'd like to preface this review by stating that I went to Dr. Amin because I was desperate for a dentist to help me so that I could continue my career. If you just want to read a few lines, he is simply the best. And if you are looking for implants, do yourself a favor and go see him. Here is my story if you want to read a little further... When I was 12 I was in an accident that involved me on a bike, my face, and a Jeep. It was a bad accident. When I woke up in the road, my shoulder was dislocated and I was missing some front teeth. It was a horrible accident and it's been an ongoing struggle even now at 39. I had various prosthetics until I was able to get implants at 18. The implants were lifesavers. I got them at UCLA Dentistry and they lasted pretty well up until just recently. When one of the implants chipped I was told that there was no way to really fix it and that I would need new implant crowns. This freaked me out because my job is playing trumpet, and I needed new crowns that matched identically to my previous crowns so that my career could continue without disruption, or at all! Now comes the difficult part. UCLA only kept my records for 7 years. It had been 20 years. So UCLA was only able to give us a vague idea of what my implants might have been. Since the implants were ancient (made in the 1980's), and basically extremely rare ones at that, it was very difficult to find out exactly what hardware was in my mouth. It took a few sessions of back and forth and trial and error to figure it out. Dr. Amin went above and beyond for me looking for that obscure part that was needed to replace my implant. He finally found it and made me exact replica crowns so that I could continue playing trumpet without a hitch. On top of being an extremely nice guy, he is also a fantastic doctor. His staff are also extremely nice and professional. At a time when I felt extremely vulnerable, he took such good care of me. I can't recommend him enough.
