Got all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Mizin. From the start, the ladies in the front office are SO rude. This office charges so much, no one has ever charged me like this place did. For someone reason I had a $400 copay and after still got billed $40. When I asked for a price break down, the front desk lady just said "it's a copay." Not helpful at all. Anyways, fast forward to my procedure day, Dr. Mizin couldn't find my vein and dug into my arm, shrugged, and just said oh let me try again. It was a cold response. He did not warn me that he would cut the muscles in my mouth. I found out two weeks after at my post op. I couldn't open my mouth bigger then 1/2 inch. He put his fingers in my mouth to force it open. I said it was painful and to stop. A month later and I can now open my mouth normally, but have excruciating headaches. My long term dentist has been "saving" a back lower tooth for years. It finally had to come out and he highly recommended Dr. Radack. I was in at 8:15 AM yesterday and out the door before 9:00 AM. I went in for a lower, impacted wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Gannady Landa was the one to perform the surgery. It was quick and painless. Everyone was nice and helpful. I can be pretty paranoid about things going wrong, but they were very patient in answering all of my questions. Only downside was they charged me approx. $150.00 for panoramic x-rays that I'd already had taken about a month prior. If I had known this was needed, I would have requested them from my dentist, and saved myself some money. read more

My mother recently had a few teeth extracted by Dr. Mizin. She takes a few strong medications that can have dangerous interactions. She gave the person at the front desk a complete list of her medications before the surgery . After the surgery, she was prescribed Percocet for the pain. She was very groggy from the anesthesia and couldn't discuss the prescription, but my sister knew Dr. Mizin's office had reviewed the med list and trusted he was prescribing responsibly. My mother is very cautious and she called her doctor, just to confirm that the Percocet wouldn't have any adverse interactions with her regular pill regimen. Her doctor warned her that if she had taken just one Percocet, she would have definitely stopped breathing. read more

Jennifer at the front desk was remarkably kind and patient helping me to manage a challenging schedule when I was in pain and juggling many variables. Dr. Marachek, the on-call surgeon I reached after hours about a pain management question was also extremely kind and helpful. I had my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Radack. He did a great job. He said that I would be in a lot of pain and that one of my teeth was very difficult to remove. Actually I had very little pain and healed very quickly. Why one star you ask? Well, that's because of the people in charge of billing. They told me that my insurance would pay for about 60% of the cost. It turns out that they didn't check with my insurance company and my insurance company wasn't contracted ... so they only paid 20%. There's nothing like paying $500 for a procedure, being totally happy with the result, then getting a bill for another $500. read more

Summary: Doctor needs better bed-side manners Staff was kind enough, but you're there to see the doctor. Without going into too much detail, I will say that I was kept waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time, despite having arrived early to handle paperwork and co-pay. Before visiting with me, he was yelling at someone (assuming a staff member?) none too kindly. Your patient should not have to hear you berate someone through the door. My total exam time was less than 2 minutes - he didn't greet me, didn't even bother explaining to me what my dentist had sent me to consult with him for. At the end of my brief "exam", I couldn't believe he was asking ME to call my own dentist to report back on the issue. This guy totally rubbed me the wrong way. For all of my trouble, I ended up paying close to $100 for nothing more than a waste of time. There are plenty of other doctors out there more worthy of your business. read more

Came here for a preliminary consultation to get my wisdom teeth removed. During my first consultation it took more time than expected to get seated with the dentist, roughly 20 min before I met with the dentist. When I finally reached the dentist for my consultation, I was only with Dr. Radack for roughly 5 min, then redirected for a scheduled appointment a month afterwards. The actual procedure a month afterwards was pretty good, put under with general anesthesia and it went smoothly since my bottom two wisdom teeth that were removed were already pretty much out. Will come here again for the removal for my top two, but other than that paid a decent amount through my insurance for a standard wisdom teeth removal. I had a really unfortunate random thing happen to one of my teeth - despite flossing twice a day might I add... needless to say, my excellent dentist Dr Farless had to send me to get an extraction along with a dental implant. Major bummer. The dentist was going to send me to a periodontist, but because I am a total freak about dental pain, he sent me to Dr. Radack, oral surgeon so I can be totally put out for all this... Dr Radack's office was nice, especially Jennifer at the front desk and the nurses were very sympathetic to my situation. Once seeing the dr, he was also very sympathetic to my situation and not only explained everything to me, but scheduled time to discuss my particular case with my dentist, before performing surgery. Day of surgery, Dr Radack was awesome- bedside manner was very nice and when I came to he explained everything, as well as kept checking on me. I even got a phone call the next day from his office making sure I was feeling ok. Well I tell you. I was so nervous about this extraction with roots like claws. I had no need at all...I looked up oral surgeons on yelp, came up with Dr Radack. Then I know a neighbor who works for a dentist in Burbank. She said Dr Radack. Then a friend goes to another Dentist in the area, called them they said Dr Radack. Dr. Radack had one of his partners remove my 21 y/o son's 4 wisdom teeth. 2 of them were sideways impacted! Dr. Radack said it was possibly the worst impacted wisdom teeth he'd ever seen in his many years of practice. He felt Dr. Mizin would have the strength necessary in this case. I tried to talk to him with cotton in my mouth, while he moved 10feet away, about my crown. I wanted to have it, but he said he is not supposed to. Dr. Radack was wonderful. I have a severe panic disorder and have never had any sort of operation or general anesthesia in my LIFE, and I was absolutely terrified. Dr. Radack explained everything to me and talked to me throughout the process of finding a vein so that I wouldn't over-think it too much. He administered a very safe series of sedatives, and all four of my impacted wisdom teeth were removed within 30 minutes. Our experience with Dr. Radack was horrible. My son was getting his wisdom teeth out--fairly routine, right? The morning started with Dr. Rdack having an argument (right in front of my son and me) with one of the nurses. it was uncomfortable and unprofessional. He then proceeded to begin the anesthesia process and had no luck in finding a vein. My son, who was already anxious about having the surgery to begin with, was now a complete wreck. Dr. Radack was pushing general anesthesia at a later date. Imagine--his wisdom teeth extraction could not commence because Dr. Radack could not find a vein!! The entire process was so crazy, we couldn't wait to get out of there--it was a weird vibe.. DONT BRING YOUR CHILD HERE!!! Terrible experience!! And overpriced! My 10 year old needed 4 teeth extracted. He's had teeth extracted when he was 8 to make room for permanent teeth. I was always permitted to be in the room and hold my sons hand. I was very helpful in calming him down and I am not squeemish. Neither the dr nor the nurse took even a moment to explain anything about the procedure to either me or my son. My son was told to lay down and I was ushered out. When I tried to argue, both the dr and nurse were very forceful. Dr radack would not even allow me in the room while he was giving him anasthesia. I asked if I could stay until he fell asleep and was again told NO. I guess you can't really know if he's doing things right or making mistakes if you don't allow the parents in the room. So there's no one to complain. They even made me wait at the opposite end of the building. So I couldn't even hear if my son was screaming. Later my son told me he was screaming and wanted me in the room. I paid $1100 for 4 teeth! I've never paid so much before especially for such terrible service. He made me feel instantly comfortable with his charismatic personality, professional manner and helpful explanations regarding my 3 extractions. The surgery went very well with minimal pain and speedy recovery time. My BIGGEST issue with this office was the staff. While a few assistants were helpful, the ladies working the phones/front desk are absolutely unprofessional and snarky. I always loathed scheduling appointments, as I knew I'd have to endure the inevitable rudeness of reception. To add an extra bonus, they somehow "lost" my insurance reimbursement check, for which they have owed me for a MONTH. They took zero responsibility for this and told me to stop sounding so "pissed." Came here because my dentist referred me to get one of my wisdom teeth removed. Waited awhile after my appointment time for them to tell me it was going to cost me 1300 to get all 4 removed. I only really needed one removed but they were so insistent on taking out all 4. That made me feel uncomfortable because I felt like I was being forced to pay. I couldn't believe I had to pay that much so I asked how much for one they said 300 but again insisted on all 4. The dentist that referred me assured me I wouldn't even have to pay since my insurance covers so I felt pressured into making an appointment for the one tooth. My appointment date came and I was out of town for an emergency and figured I'd call when I come back to see if I can go in. Well today when I came back I had a letter in the mail from this office charging me 125 for missing an appointment. Honestly these people just seem money hungry and I would recommend you go spend less money somewhere else. Definitely not going to pay that bill 125 is absurd for missing an appointment. When I asked for advice on what to do with the pain they couldn't even help me, they seemed more upset about losing in on money than actually helping. read more

I was referred to Dr. Radack by my dentist of 10 years and I'm so incredibly grateful. About a month ago, I went to an "in network" oral surgeon that I chose from my dental plan, and to make a long story short, they quoted me nearly $3,000 out of pocket. I knew something was fishy, so I came to Dr. Radack and was charged less than a third of that. And he's not even in my dental network! He was honest and upfront about the work I NEEDED and didn't need. Big difference between the two when you don't want to break your bank or be scammed. Do not, whatsoever, get serviced by them without them confirming your eligibility because they'll desperately chase you after 2 years. The staff gave me an itemized invoice to sign and I paid in cash before getting serviced. I pay a premium for my insurance, and I paid my co-insurance/my patient responsibility out of pocket before I was seen per their policy. I was also a referral so shouldn't they have seen all my information before I was seen? They did not once call me back nor send me a (extra) bill, because from what I was told I was good to go, and now they're collecting on me for some $100 fee I didn't pay. The biller is at fault and the fee, especially after almost 2 years!, should've been written off. If my insurance didn't want to pay, submit a dispute for resolution. If that gets denied, submit an appeal. Be competent and do your job. You're wasting even more time and money. I'm a medical biller myself, and I don't let my accounts receiveable go beyond 60 days. And we accept our responsibility when we're at fault. read more

WARNING!!!!! WARNING!!!!! The positive reviews were most likely written by this dentist. From start to finish the worst all around experience I've ever had in my entire life!!!! The doctor neglected to put gauze on one of the extraction sites and I got a dry socket. Dry sockets are accompanied by horrible pain, the worst pain I've ever had. I called the office on the Monday after my Friday extraction and was told by JEN that the extreme pain was normal for a "difficult extraction", and I should rinse with hydrogen peroxide...Jen said I had food caught in there and I would be fine in a few days - I told her I was in too much pain to eat, and there is no way I had food caught anywhere in my mouth....still, she did not want me to come in to the office to be checked. A few days later that pain was worse so I convince the rude Jen that I needed to see the doctor - I waited in the waiting room for over an hour only to be told by Dr. RaDICK that I must have a low pain tolerance!...I heard him say that to the patient in the room next to me who I knew from the waiting room was also having complications!!! Radack gave me some topical cream and said it looked "great" to him. What?? I went to my regular dentist who said it does appear to be a dry socket and he couldn't understand what was wrong with Dr. Radack, but also said he had had 4-5 complaints about Radack recently, and he was going to discontinue referring patients to him. My dentist sent me to another oral surgeon who treated the dry socket properly, but it took over 2 months to heal. Two other things happened that should have been red flags for me: 1. I told Jen, (who is so rude she must be married to the dentist or a family member or something)...anyway, I told her three times I was allergic to penicillin and I was given a prescription for ampicillin?, I said, I think that's penicillin! Radack wrote me another Rx for an antibiotic and when I took it to the Pharmacy the Pharmacist said I couldn't take it as it was another kind of Penicillin!!! The Pharmacist called him a yelled at him for being negligent. 2. Radack's office did not bill my insurance for part of the procedure that they said insurance doesn't cover. I called my insurance company and asked them and it turns out that they do cover the procedure, it is just that Radack was under contract to charge only a certain amount for the procedure, and he overcharged me for it by $300 and then lied about it!!!! read more

I love Dr. Radack! He's really fantastic. I've had a cyst removed there, and yesterday I had another cyst as well as all four wisdom teeth removed. I'm not in any pain, just a little tender, and I've only taken Advil (although I admit that's classic me), and very minimal swelling. His staff is very nice, calling to check up on me later that day and the next day, and he treats it all like a game and a challenge. I don't want a pessimistic doctor--he's truly fascinated by what he sees and knows he can handle anything, which I really like. I've never witnessed him being rude and while I've had to wait a bit for appointments (as is always the case with doctors), I didn't have to wait long at all for my surgery. My brother also had his wisdom teeth removed there and it went really well. I highly recommend Dr. Radack. He knows what he's doing, he's damn good at it, he'll listen to any restrictions you have, and he definitely cares--even going so far as to discount when we've had money troubles (but I certainly can't guarantee that). read more

Procedure was very quick, I hardly even talked to the doctor at all. Got in the room, they had difficulty finding my vein. After about 5 minutes they switched arms, he could tell i was nervous and he tried to make me feel better. Fell asleep, woke up and was done in about 20 minutes (only had the lowers removed).
