Had a rough time with Wayne Mazda who was not willing to budge on a car that matched my brother's build criteria - CX-90 Turbo S Premium Plus. They let us walk and I was good with that since I was put off by the fact they would not give us the price for a car that had a few less options than another car they positioned which had the white interior (we did not like white) and more options. I am visiting from CA and needed to get this transaction done and I remembered a referral by a lady we met months ago at Ramsey Mazda to get in touch with Willy, whom she bought a car from. We met Willy over the weekend and Willy was a gem of person and no nonsense. He found the tan interior we liked in his inventory book and even though we were keen on a red or blue exterior, Willy, opened our eyes to the Sonic Silver color. It was a great call as the color lends itself to the ambient lighting. Negotiations were easy and we were off by $500 so we agreed to meet halfway. Willy throughout was charming, knowledgeable, respectful and funny. We liked his style 100% and my brother and I agreed to go with Willy and Ramsey Mazda. We were paying cash and the price was right so win, win! Thank you Willy! Today was pick up day and Chris the Customer Experience representative went through the bells and whistles of the car including pairing the vehicle. It was a smooth transition to us and he was thorough and detailed in his approach. I was surprised to be handled in such a professional way near post sale. After Chris was done with us we went inside to sign documents with Donovan and go over warranties. He was detailed and explained the extended warranties meticulously and answered our myriad of questions fully in black and white terms. Since it is my brother's first car (I am a Jeep guy) we thought it would be best to get coverages for peace of mind on a $60k car. So we maxed out the warranties and Donovan put us at ease in regards to this investment and we were good with it. He really did a great job of positioning the warranties considering things that happen along your car's ownership journey. I have went through some of the mechanical and cosmetic concerns over the years so buying the mechanical and cosmetic warranties was a no brainer - I generally get warranties on my higher end cars. I forgot to bring my spare key, and Brandon said that was fine, it could be dropped off a different day. I picked up my car on a Saturday. They are closed Sunday. I had my partner drop off my key that Monday at about 3:30pm to Brandon directly. A few days later I received a $200 bill in the mail for a MISSING KEY. I called Brandon and was told that the car had already been inspected and there was nothing he could do about it. WHAT?! Luis spent a good amount of time with us helping us find the exact Mazda we wanted. The purchase was excellent. About a month after that purchase I ordered an MX-5 Miata from Luis and throughout the whole process Luis kept me informed of the status of my car. He is nothing short of a complete professional and extremely knowledgeable. I went on Ramsey Mazda's site and requested an appointment to see a car. That was confirmed last night and again at 8:45 this morning. At 2:49 this afternoon the appointment to see the car was reconfirmed and I was given the name of a salesperson Joe that I was to meet at 4PM. After driving for 40 minutes to within a mile of the dealership I received a call that the car I was interested in was just sold. This call came in at 3:56 an hour after they had confirmed the appointment and when they figured I'd be close enough to still come in to see whatever piece of crap car they wanted to sell me. Victor Jacobson and I had checked out the service department because that is very important to me before the car was purchased. and it turned out to be the best service department. My service advisor has been CHRIS AGLIALORO He is a shining Ramsey Mazda representative He is welcoming , caring, so efficient & he helps in every way from check-in to check out. He keeps me posted while I wait for my car to be serviced. And makes sure he's giving me the best price . The video that is made as my car is being serviced and sent by my service mechanic is just so helpful. It's terrific to see the underside & under the hood of your car and to be told exactly what's been done from the oil change , rotating tires and just doing a general diagnostic check up.. My skilled mechanic was Rebekah and she did a wonderful job. My cx5 car has a lot of get up and go with after she serviced it this week. No more squeaks and drives like a very expensive sports car To conclude, Chris has made it so easy- and it's the first time ever owning cars for the last 50 years... That I enjoy going to have my car serviced. And to be treated so fairly, and not ever taken advantage of as many service departments for other dealerships do. This is a great dealership Ramsey Mazda. With a great staff. It's so clean and then the waiting room is bright and cheery. Great coffee and I get a lot done. After leaving Wayne Mazda and refusing to take it up the butt I went to Ramsey and looked at a similar vehicle that was slightly higher priced. I received a payment $96 less per month, $1k more for my trade and GAP coverage was thrown in to my deal saving me about another $900 or another $25 per month. Very transparent. Their salesman, Eric Taylor, I would give a 4: he was pleasant, led us through a long test-drive (allowing both myself and my partner a long drive on both, residential streets and the highway) and listened to our concerns. The sales manager, Eric Valentin, I would give a 1: he was curt and, except for the etch fee, did not budge on their fees. He insisted that the fees are non-negotiable although we repeated multiple times that we are well aware that only tax and motor vehicle fees are fixed. In addition, they said the "non-taxes" was for motor vehicle (MV) fees which they "have no control over". When I specified that, as per MV website, the registration, title and plates should be ~$120, I asked for them to itemize it (as per law they should) and they did not. STAY AWAY..Brought my car in to get 1 USB port replaced, agreed to pay $175 (they make your sign ?? ) for 1 hour minimim labor fee to inspect the issue, was kinda surprised to hear this, i know the issue?! After an agreed price to fix 1 part, they charged almost $100 for a "courtesy safety inspection " a fancy video you get, about parts and tires I "supposedly" needed from the technician.. what?? You spent an hour for something that i didnt ask for or wasnt aware they were going to do this. an absolute charge tactic. My car has under 25k miles..I even questioned why they performed this when I got this almost 2 minute text video." Sir, we do this as a courtesy".. ok .. i finally get I the documented agreed price on my phone with the cost for the repair!! I agreed , was high ,but agreed..My wife went to pick up car, they proceeded to add this courtesy service!! EVEN AFTER HE SAID no charge its a courtesy!! I tried calling 4x to speak to the service manger after my wife informs me of the upcharge., Sorry, He's not in, hes with a customer, he doesnt have a voicemail, can I have him call you back.. all responses respectively. Terrible, unethical. Stay away, these other reviews are totally fake. I cannot be the only one. I contacted my credit card to dispute and even the representative was appalled by this. Ramsey Mazda should be investigated by this charge tactic. Places and deception tactics like RAMSEY MAZDA give the car business a bad wrap. Go elsewhere! So when I was looking at other dealers for this other car, I decided to take a look at the review for Ramsey Mazda. I was a bit surprised by the low score so I wanted to share my positive experience. We decided to get my kids a CX-30 without even test driving. So I called up Ramsey Mazda (without looking at reviews) and got assigned to Victor as my sales guy. We spoke and texted and came to what I think was a fair price. We set a time to pick up the car, everyone was on time, and we were done quickly and efficiently. The dealership is new, clean and comfortable. As nice as the luxury dealerships in the area. Fast forward a few months and I needed a regular service (which they provided complimentary). Service area is also clean and nice. I had an issue with a back seat that they also fixed and didn't charge for. I'd recommend this dealership. read more

Love my car, hate the experience... Had a great experience when I leased the car (thank you, Adonis). In fact, had such a good experience, that we came back from PA to purchase my wife's car (which is a different story, that experience was mediocre as well, and it turns out all 4 tires had dry rot at the time of purchase...lovely - though the service/sales teams did do the right thing when it came to that issue). Made an appointment to buy my lease out. We had moved out of state and drove from PA for the appointment. Got there 5-10 minutes early. Met with our salesperson Willy first. After about a half hour of sitting and chatting/doing basically nothing related to the purchase of the vehicle with Willy (now a half hour after our scheduled appointment time), we asked when we would be getting the financing done. Willy informed us that Donovan, the finance guy, had taken another customer ahead of us despite our scheduled appointment time, and so now it would "be a while." This is going on almost an hour over our appointment time. We asked Willy to get the manager, Mike, involved. 2 hours later Donovan was ready for us but was not ready to apologize for the wait. He had an extremely poor attitude. I could not believe the way we were treated - definitely not customer service at its finest, and not what I expected from this dealership we had previously had a good experience with. But the disappointment doesn't stop there. Both Willy and Mike were very understanding on the day of purchase and tried to help. Mike generously offered complimentary all weather floor mats and tires at cost for the trouble. Floor mats arrived, every follow up I have made with Mike regarding the tires have gone unanswered and unacknowledged. If you can't honor the offer, fine no problem (though, seriously? why offer then?), but an acknowledgement of my follow up would be nice. Additionally, I confirmed with Willy that I would not need a PA license (as I did not have one yet) for the registration. He said yes, no problem, NJ license is fine. Guess what? I needed a PA license. Title and registration was delayed because of COVID-19 (ok no problem, not their fault). Title department called me - further delays because I did not have a PA license. Have to give a shout out to Nabel in the title department - she was great to work with, very understanding of my frustration, and as soon as I got a PA license and she had everything she needed, I received plates/registration overnight in the mail. On another review somewhere else on the interwebs, the dealership commented that the GM would be in touch - one week & counting, no reach out from the GM James Sabini, who I actually CC'd on a follow up e-mail to Mike A. Not super relevant and a moot point anyway, but if the car market wasn't what it was right now, I would have walked out and taken my money elsewhere. Can you blame me? read more

My problem is they sold me a car with a broken camera. Yes they wlsaid they will diagnose my car and replace it while also providing a loaner vehicle. This is the problem they want me to give deposit to reserve the loaner car. What it's their fault they sold the camera messed up and it was reported the day that I took the car out of the lot same purchase date. They told me no worries call for an appointment and we will fix it replacing it in other words. Right?? The service team at this dealership is simply "outstanding!"- We purchased our 2016 Mazda CX-3 through another dealership, unfortunately. The service manager (who I believe is no longer there) at that OTHER dealership gave us false information about our front headlights having condensation on them. As our warranty was running out we again questioned this problem, only to be told we must have caused the problem. That was never true. We even called Mazda Headquarters about this issue. We decided to give it a go again with Ramsey. Rob, the service manager heard our story and stepped up to solve the problem. They took care and replaced the front lights at no charge!! AND, they cleaned our car inside and out!! Krystal, our service advisor was wonderful as well! There is NO doubt we will be servicing our car here AND be buying our next Mazda here too! We purchased 2 cars here last week, but called multiple times for finance/pick up dates with no return call. Finally got a return call from a pushy finance manager saying we couldn't pick up today because it was "last minute" but we'd left multiple messages to confirm this date over the past 4 days. If we didn't have insurance settled we would have cancelled the transactions. I would never purchase a vehicle here ever again. If I could leave no stars I would. An absolute hot mess over there. They sold us a car that had been sitting on the lot for quite awhile, and never checked over. The paperwork they gave us "showed" they had, BUT the car had a cracked windshield, the air filter was not changed, the tire rim was dented. We had to take the vehicle back to get these items handled, and now 2 months later....... We're still waiting on the title (we paid cash) and the license plates. Came for high pitched noise that went around 65mph+ and confirmed it through test drive. Second dealer I went to about it. They had my car for a week, but I suspect that all they did was open the door, reset the electronics, closed it and left it there for a few days. Promised a loaner but instead they returned my car to me and said they'd call corporate about my issue. Never received a call or anything, no follow up, got ghosted. I guess it wasn't worth their time. I'm done with Mazda forever, thanks todd or tony, whoever that manager or whatever was for making sure I will never buy a freaking mazda again and have to deal with Mazda dealership games and bs. Letter I wrote to Mazda Corporate....after dealing with this dump My daughter has recently been test driving Mazda pre- owned cars (Mazda 6 grand touring). She's been to the Toms River NJ and Wayne NJ. dealership. My wife and I were with her for most test drives and she loves the car. Today, she saw online a 2016 grand black grand touring 6 at Ramsey Mazda NJ. She asked me to go see it with her. Arriving at the dealership we located the car and was told to test drive it by the salesman. He asked my daughter for her license. I asked him if he needed mine,he said no. I asked him if he needed to come with us, again the answer was no. He gave my daughter the keys and we headed onto RT 17 N. This is when things got really weird. As she was driving about for a mile, I told her to change lanes so as to make a u-turn and go back to the dealership, when a car whizzed past us on the right causing her to flinch. She then continued into the slow lane when the same car slowed down to get behind us then to our left. That's when we realized it was the salesman. He was annoyed and waving and trying to run us off the road to pull over. We pulled into a fast food parking lot, letting the salesman pull along side. At this point he's yelling at her,"get out of the car!" Shocked, we had know idea what he was talking about. We pulled into a parking space. He started screaming, really annoyed. I looked at my daughter and said "what happened?' she answered, I don't know. I get out of the passenger seat and he's yelling at us to get in the back seat of his car. I said "what is the matter?" He said 'Where are you going? baffled I said "what are you talking about?" He said "I told you to wait and follow me." Neither one of us heard him say that, at any time So now he makes us get in the back seat of his car, leaving the car in the fast food parking lot and drives away annoyed as hell. Saying to my daughter," where were you going driving that fast?" She was driving with traffic,besides he past us on the right! So now were in back of his car and he's screaming at us like we were stealing the car. At this point I had enough of his bullshit and told him to shut the fuck up. My daughter was getting upset. That's when he threatened to throw us out of the car. I said ' Yeah try it" Incredibly, this moron pulls over onto the shoulder of rt 17 S in traffic! and stops the car!! That's when I realized ,this guy is nuts. Now my 20 year old daughter is in tears scared, I dialed 911. The Ramsey NJ police department have the police report and the 911 record. The cops couldn't arrest him on any charge and tried to make the excuse that the salesman said he had a mask on and that's why we didn't hear him, which is total bullshit, because he didn't have a mask on at the dealership and didn't have one on when he picked us up, plus he made us get in the car with him with no mask. "I'm a 66 year old retiree. worked 40 years for the same company. My Daughter is a front line registered nurse at Morristown Hospital. I must have bought 15 cars in my life! Don't ever remember a salesman acting like this. I don't appreciate the way that lowlife treated my daughter or me. I'm forwarding this letter to the local better business bureau, The department of consumer affairs and possibly local and national news outlets plus every social media company. My salesman Willy Elkammary was amazing! He made sure he got all the details of what i wanted and basically it was just up to finance. Thats where it all went downhill. Joe Ruggiero in finance was unhelpful in all ways. First, he doesn't return any calls unless you call numerous times. Second, he doesn't work to make a deal which essentially hurts the salesman on the deal. Joe Ruggiero wants the consumer to be at his beck and call and wants the customer to basically beg him to do any work on the deal. After going to a few Mazda dealerships, Ramsey was the one for me. We had an AWESOME sales guy named Rocky who helped me lease my brand new 2015 Mazda 3 in white (the color I wanted) for three years. This definitely couldn't have happened without the help of a guy named Jim who I believe was a manager of some sort. He's the one who fought with banks in order for me to be approved. Recently leased a CX-5 with my partner. The salesman we worked with, Eric Taylor was top notch. Very easy to work with, very accommodating, worked with us on price, and wasn't pushy when we wanted to take a day to think over our options after the initial test drive. Kudos to you Eric, we enjoyed working with you, and were happy to give you our business! However, our interactions with the finance manager upon signing the final paperwork were unpleasant. We understood going in, that part of his job is to sell additional protection and insurances on our lease. We listened to his pitch and declined as we had planned on. However, where I take issue is his methods of doing so. He tried to instill fear in our minds that we needed $50+ extra per month in these coverages. He asked two very offsetting personal questions- 1) he asked who between the two of us would be making the car payments, to isolate who the decision maker was between the two of us, as if the other one of us was wasting his time and hindering his sale (when very clearly this entire time the two of us were making the decision together), and 2) asked if we had enough money out of pocket to pay for the particular damages of the car he was trying to sell us protection for (as if collision insurance was non-existent). Again, as a formal salesperson myself, and someone who negotiates million dollar advertising campaign prices for a living and deals with sales people every day, I understand this is part of his job. However, it came across very aggressive and violating, and that he was trying to take advantage of a young couple in their mid twenties leasing a car for the very first time.
