We brought a Subaru Legacy, less than a week later the battery died, and we were told by Sean Abbott, Used Cars Mgr., OH WELL, you should have brought the extended warranty....Are you kidding me!?! They charged us $382!! Batteries don't cost that much, Unbelievable!!! This is the same guy that told us we have a 30 day warranty with the dealership, and "if anything goes wrong with it in 30 days, I'm gonna fix it, I'll feel bad. Besides I'm a used car salesman, not an @#$%!" When the car died, I reminded Sean of his comment. He denied ever saying it while in HIS mgr.'s office, Clayton Mantell, who called him in to ask him if he said that. Clayton also said, OH WELL, you should have brought the extended warranty I can't help you.....Wow really!?! We saw the car, less than a week later they had our check for the total amount, and this is how they treated us. I told Clayton I would like to speak to his boss, he named Josh (wouldn't even give me his last name) That was 6 weeks ago. Never got a call from "Josh", I'm sure he never got my message. We test-drove a bunch of vehicles along Route 17, and Parker was a breath of fresh air after some high-pressure/low-service nonsense at other dealerships. I was greeted by Mr. Adam Grant upon entering the dealer. This dealer had a great tranquil vibe after you enter the dealer as no tension exists between the salesman trying to play tug-of-war with the customers. They leave you enough time to take a look around the vehicle. Once we looked satisfied with the vehicle, they chime in to help you. Adam was very courteous and a pleasure to work with. Very transparent about the pricing which I must emphasize other dealers can be very shady about. The deal was made within reasonable amount of time. We all know that getting a new car is not a 3 min job. I believe his timing was reasonable for the request I was making. On the day of receiving the car, another gentleman went over the car functions within 30 min. Having a new infotainment system in the car, the help from the knowledgeable staff was a pleasure. He made mistake at one point, but he apologized and course corrected himself. That shows how genuine they can be rather than making excuses. A lot of people have bad experiences at the dealer. For me, this dealer did not have any negative connotation at all. Makes me think about going back again once the lease is up. read more

Everytime I bring in my car for an oil change or a scheduled maintenance, i ALWAYS get hit with another problem! It seems like every time! I stopped using them and went to a local pep boys who seemed to be honest, did the required work and didn't oversell me. I was going to be in The area so I decided to get my oil change here! Before the car hadbeen moved i was advised that my wheel Alignment was way off! Once the oil change was done the alignment suddenly improved but i was advised that one of my lug nuts was stripped and should be fixed($100.00). I was told it was unsafe. So, i am getting it fixed! Before signing anything, ask what your payments will be without any extra warranty or protection they try to sell you. Also, ask them to explain every line before signing anything.Finance department snuck in some extra warranty I wasn't aware of, the financial documents were stapled in the middle so I didn't get to see everything until I got home, I felt rushed. There's never any rush, to buy anything, so don't feel obligated to sign anything if you're not sure of it. read more

Had an excellent experience at this location, where we just completed a lease for a base model Impreza. Our old car was shot, and I was trying to work out a lease at Burlington Subaru in VT, but the car in question was sold right out from under me as we were getting to the finish line. As I was out of town, I went to the Ramsey Subaru on route 17 in NJ (I had bought a car there in the past, and the experience and deal we got were terrific) and it was a night-and-day experience. They offered me better rates and recommended that I avoid trading in my old car for $1,000 (what Burlington Subaru offered) and instead sell it to an individual or used car shop, as I could likely make a few thousand (ended up doing so and getting $3,000). They were professional, knowledgeable and we wrapped the whole thing up super quick: a monthly lease in the low 200s. Alex Petrushin was our point person and he was just excellent. I could not recommend this location highly enough. *If you love in VT, it might make sense to drive the 4+ hours over to get a car here. read more

They have 6 service manager, so they have a large trained technicians, able to give you an accurate quote as they're very knowledgeable. Their employees are helpful, and you can have a loaner car issued to you and when they're done with your car, they wash it for you! So if you're looking for a reliable repair shop, knowledgeable people, professional, I find this crew to be trustworthy. However, they're not cheap. Their prices, like everything else have increased as the technology are increasingly becomes the area of car repairs! read more

As you can imagine, once you've bought the car the dealer disappears off the radar. I bought my Outback over 3 weeks ago. Since then I haven't received any calls to see how I like the car, is everything going well etc. My temp plate was good till the 29th. Today is the 26th. Repeated phone calls to the salesman went unanswered. I then called and asked the receptionist if my salesperson was available. "Oh Charlie is out all week". No mention of that on his VM. The receptionist then asked for my information and said she would look into it & call me back. Crickets. I called the general manager and left a voicemail for him, and can you imagine, he has not called back. So again I called back and got the receptionist who then found the plates and asked me if I wanted to pay $15 for regular shipping or $25 for Express. This is after paying $30,000 for this car. Pretty low rent if you ask me! And of course now I'm supposed to fill out some form which I need to send back to them in order to get the plates sent to me. No mention of this was ever made. So I would not recommend Ramsey Subaru, I'd look elsewhere for dealer they might offer at least a modicum of service. read more

We were on am extended visit to NJ from out of state and needed serving for our Outback. Ramsey did a great job while we waited. It appears to be a very efficient, professionally run operation. They also washed & thoroughly vacuumed the car! It was the best service ever, and we've been driving Subarus for many years in several different states. We just purchased in December 2022 a brand new 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Sport from Ramsey Subaru. We are repeat customers having purchased back in 2019 a Subaru Impreza Premium sedan from the same dealership. We will not be purchasing anymore vehicles from them. No discount was given off the Crosstrek Sport's M.S.R.P. even though we were repeat customers. The Crosstrek Sport that we settled on had far fewer options than the one we had thought we were getting due to a printout of that same vehicle's window sticker being "altered" by the Ramsey Subaru salesman to show the options we had originally wanted. The V.I.N. window sticker of the Crosstrek Sport shown to us ended up being a vehicle that was already being advertised on Ramsey Subaru's website, and actually contained far fewer options. When we were called by Deven, the Ramsey Subaru salesman that the vehicle had arrived, he made no mention that the majority of options we had wanted were not installed. We were willing to wait for the correct and properly optioned Subaru Crosstrek Sport but were told by Clayton, the General Sales Manager that there was only a 70% chance that it would arrive the way we wanted it. Subaru happens to make great vehicles, and we will not hesitate in purchasing another one, just not at Ramsey Subaru. On a "positive" note, my wife does like her brand new 2023 Crosstrek Sport. That is where the 3-STAR rating comes from for Ramsey Subaru. UPDATE- I have revised this review to 3-STARS after receiving a detailed e-mail addressing my complaints, and explaining the situation from Clayton, the General Sales Manager at Ramsey Subaru. The salesman who handled this business transaction was absolutely wrong in not immediately contacting us about the majority of options missing in the Crosstrek Sport we eventually ended up purchasing. I will shop around in the near future for our next Subaru vehicle, so that there are no "screw-ups" like what we just went through. We had a great experience at Ramsey Subaru and let me tell you why. Back in late spring of 2015, the mister and I were in the market for a new Forester. We built one online and sent the link to several different dealerships in the area. Alex Petrushin was one of the first people we heard back from. Over the next few days the mister tried to negotiate the number down but Alex wasn't budging, telling him this was the best deal we were going to find. As the other dealerships came back with their offers we realized that Alex was right, he did have the best deal. Excellent. In to the dealership we went and picked out our car. We had all the preliminary paperwork signed and were supposed to return on the following Tuesday to finalize the deal and pick up the car. That Friday I got laid off from my job. Goodbye new car :( I was devastated. My mister immediately called Alex and explained the circumstances and after a talk with him and with the manager, they agreed to let us out of the deal. We assured them that we really wanted the car but because of my new circumstances, we would not be able to afford it. Alex told us not to worry; to come back to him when we were ready. Well, over a year later, we were back on the hunt for a new Forester again and we didn't even bother to shop around. We went straight to Alex. He remembered us and we proceeded to sign the lease for a 2017 Forester 2.5i Premium with a few add-ons. It took us almost two weeks but we finally got our car. It's beautiful. When we went to pick it up, Chris in the delivery department sat with me for over 30 mins going over every single feature of the car. From the wipers to the multimedia features. He was very thorough. Throughout the experience everyone we encountered at Ramsey was professional and friendly. Alex is great to work with. He's honest and no bullshit. He's going to give you his best number so you avoid all sorts of haggling that only wastes everybody's time and just pisses people off. I've had the car for three days so far and I love it. I was looking forward to getting an out-the-door price before I drove an hour to get there. I have negotiated the price from a distance before, and it worked well. Anyway, they did not give me a price as promised on the website, only an email telling me to schedule a visit. I emailed them back for the eprice, but only received a voice mail from Meghan again asking for me to set up an appointment. I came here as a guest for someone who was buying a car. Our salesman was Max. Max was nice and seemed honest about what could and couldn't be done. There was no hassle to make a decision or not, which was nice. I'll admit that when we came to this giant of a dealership, I expected to get bad service or the typical hassling that salesmen do. Max was different in that there was absolutely no hassling. He was able to show us the car despite it not being fully detailed yet. Max promised that when we came back the car would be in pristine condition with everything taken care of. On the day of pick up, it looked great! I felt as if there was a lack of detail in the whole process. In my experience, salesmen usually go over everything in detail such as where the packet needs to be sent, who the check needs to be made out to etc... This seemed to be missing from the process. Our salesman did not discuss going rates for financing and whether or not there was any specials going on. It was a bit of a shocker when we came to pick up the car and realized the rate for financing was much higher than anticipated. Although I was not the one purchasing the vehicle, I thought the experience was OK. Decent experience for a larger sized dealership. read more

We went to Ramsey Subaru and met Larry, a pleasant salesman. He was interested to see if we would like a Subaru, since we never had one. He thought we should take a ride. While we were getting ready to go, a recent customer said hi to Larry and told us that we had the best salesman. Being a bit suspicious, I wondered if she was a plant. I have had terrible luck with buying cars. The car wasn't the issue, it was always the people selling it to me. You name the car salesman cliche and I have dealt with them. I mention this because I am cynical of any salesperson. When I decided it was time to act on my dream car, the 2018 Crosstrek XV in Sunshine Orange, I did my due diligence. I did the Build & Price on the website until I knew exactly what I wanted and what it should cost. I shopped around at every Subaru dealer in the area (even one across the country). I decided upon Ramsey for a reason. When I stopped in "just looking" I was treated with respect and my questions were answered without any pressure at all. Then when I went back, wanting to see the colors, one salesman drove me over to the inventory lot, even though it was past quitting time. His name is Joseph. When I set up the appointment, they didn't have the car I wanted. They did have an Orange 18 Crosstrek but it had options that I had no intention of buying. Joseph offered to order the car but asked me if he could see what he could do with the price of the one in stock. Joseph is a wizard. He included the option I wanted (speaker upgrade) and lowered the cost of the options already installed (moonroof/all weather). When he was done, I paid the price I intended to pay when I started shopping for a car I wanted ed and received a car with MORE than I was looking for!!! When does THAT ever happen? Now, I am driving the car of my dreams, for exactly the money I wanted to pay for it. Throughout the experience I was treated honestly and fairly. Most of all, Joseph made me feel like I mattered for more than a sale. He wanted to make me happy. He did! Corey, the finance guy, was the clearest, most direct, least pushy finance person I have ever worked with. He was upfront with every option and answered my questions without smoke and mirrors. He and I were able to work out the terms and payments that made the most sense for me. All in all, I am happy I bought my Crosstrek from Ramsey Subaru. read more

Brought in my car that I purchased brand new in 2017 for transmission work in November of 2018 that was covered under warranty. Car still has the SAME persisting problem which they claimed to take care of. When I try to bring my car back in to get it looked at, they tell me earliest availability is a month away. There's a notion that comes with purchasing a car from a dealership that they will make it seem as if they care about you and your buying experience, even when in actuality they're just trying to rip you off. At Ramsey Subaru, you won't even get that luxury. I recently went to this Subaru dealership in the hopes of buying my first car. On their website, they listed a desirable pre-owned vehicle for an attractive price. Buyer be warned however, you'll pay nothing lower than that price, but rather much, much more. Completely unaware of this, I went to see the car in person, took a meager test drive (five turns on a few residential roads does not a good taste drive make), and brought it over to a nearby third-party auto repair shop for a thorough inspection before I would consider purchasing it. The only hesitations I had at this point in my experience was that the price tag on the car was $2000 more than what it was listed for online. The auto repair shop's inspection revealed fairly critical issues with the car's engine that were detrimental enough to result in knocking off a couple dollars off of the initial advertised sales price. Our sales associate wasn't too keen on that idea. Instead, he gave us an unpleasant attitude and tried everything in his power to actually deter us from buying the car. When I say this guy couldn't sell a life raft to somebody stranded in the middle of the ocean, I mean it. Not only did he completely ignore our various reasons for a cost deduction, he threw on the added disappointment of mentioning their price-increasing "convenience" services that would be tacked on to the once-attractive sales price. He wouldn't even call another Subaru dealership the car had been serviced at in the past to see if the timing belt had been changed. Long story short, don't waste you time, money, or effort here. You won't find your new Subaru, but you'll instead find terrible service and arrogant attitudes. read more

My experience at this dealership was terrible. I was considering a couple of other dealerships to purchase my new Forester, but decided on this one because of convenience to my employer. I found the Brian - the salesman pushy and acting as though I owed him something. In fact, when it came time for me to do a review of the dealership for Subaru, Brian called me up and asked me if he could fill it out for me because he needed a good review. I payed off my car a couple of months after purchasing it, they didn't send me the title as I had been instructed they would. My phone inquiry was handled in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner by the woman that handles the titles (she never gave her name). She told me that I had to go get the title from the DMV. When I told her I had paid a $195.00 fee to them so they could handle the title and wanted a refund since they weren't going to provide the service, she repeated what she told me the first time and then continued to repeat herself as if I was too dense to understand what she was saying. I would never subject anyone to the kind of unprofessional and just plain bad customer service they have in abundance at this dealership. They have lost me as a return customer and I will now go onto every website I can find to share my story so others don't have to put up with their incompetence. read more
