I'm no fashionista but what I've learned from the wedding-planning process is that I am surprisingly very picky. When searching for my wedding gown, I went to 12 different bridal shops in 3 different cities. Eventually, I found a dress I LOVED at the Pronovias store on 5th Avenue in NYC. It was soft, romantic, and had great movement. However, because I spotted it at the flagship store in Manhattan, I felt it was likely overpriced (not to mention - I felt somewhat uncomfortable in that stuffy bridal shop.) After doing some Google searching, I contacted Rana Bridal in Englewood, NJ. Not only did Rana have the same dress at a better price - she was available that same day for me to come in and try it on. After taking the subway to a ferry to an Uber, I made it to Rana's shop. She was pleasant from the start and helped me decide on a few tweaks to the dress. I wasn't sure about a nude skirt lining, though I liked the detail in the nude bodice. She assured me she could swap out the lining. The original dress had a higher neck, but Rana told me she could tweak the lace to give me a lower cut. In short, that first afternoon with Rana was WELL worth the extra effort to get out to New Jersey and we ordered the Pronovias dress that week! In the months following I had several more fittings with Rana. Her shop was always clean and organized, our appointments always started on our time, and she was always very friendly and accommodating (she even picked me up at the ferry once or twice!). Above all, Rana's handiwork was simply perfection. She changed out the lining, trimmed the many, MANY layers of my skirt to the perfect length, and tweaked the bodice until we were both happy with the new design. She even helped me pick out a veil on Etsy and trimmed that to better suit my look. In the end, my dress fit like a glove and I could NOT have been happier. Rana is an absolute pleasure to work with. After having a few not so great bridal shop experiences I am so happy that I found Rana. Her showroom is absolutely beautiful and she has a very large selection of dresses. She only takes one appointment at a time so that you can walk through the showroom with her and look through everything without feeling rushed. Once Rana has an idea of what you like she'll help you comb through the masses of dresses, but you can also look through on your own which I think is huge. She is extremely patient and there is no limit to how many dresses you can try on. She is also not salesy and will not try to pressure you into buying anything. My mom and I had a bunch of questions for Rana and she answered everything with a smile and was extremely consultative. I never in a million years would have wanted a strapless dress, but after Rana convinced me to try one on I fell in love. She can also add on and customize whatever you want, so she is also going to turn this into a dress with straps for me which is a huge win. So many wedding dress shops have silly rules - no looking through dresses, no photos, no advance appointments, only trying on a certain amount of dresses each visit, hordes of people, aggressive sales people... During my dress search I seriously saw it all. At Rana there was non of that. Just a genuine small business owner who wants to make her customers happy and who also happens to have a beautiful shop and selection of dresses. A friend suggested to go to Rana Bridal after she had an amazing experience there for her wedding. Rana Bridal was the first (and last) bridal shop that I went to. The first time I walked in the front door the owner, Rana, welcomed both my mom and I with a welcome heart. I tried on several of the shops beautiful dresses and could not believe the reasonable prices that the store had to offer. I went with the third dress that I could not get out of my mind. Throughout the whole alterations process, Rana wanted to make sure everything fit perfect on me. She was not going to stop until I was happy with the way my dress looked on me. Other places give you only a max of 2 dress fittings, but with Rana I had 4. Going to a small bridal store like this one made my whole experience with picking out my dress incredible. She has been incredibly diligent and patient with me throughout the entire process of making a decent dress, become the dress of my dreams. She not only perfectly tailored the bottom of my dress to match my height, the back to fit my waist, etc but she also made every intricate detail of my Calla Blanche lace dress fit seamlessly together. You can also purchase a dress that you tried on elsewhere at her bridal store - which was my only regret that I did not do! Rana is a miracle worker! Although I purchased my dress elsewhere (I was looking for a very specific style, found it right away), I knew I had to find the perfect seamstress to make it look right. A few friends and people I know had recommended Rana in the past and I saw her work- I knew she was the right choice to go to. My dress needed to be altered from every angle (it was too long, too wide, and just too big even thought it was already a size 0!). I added a sash which needed to be sewn on and made a last minute hem change (1 week before my wedding!) and Rana made it all happen and gladly! She genuinely cared about how my dress would on my big day. Andddd my dress came out PERFECT! I cannot thank her enough for accomplishing all that she did. Rana is amazing!! I came to Rana within 1 week of my wedding for alterations. She graciously fit me in right away, even though she was extremely busy. She did an amazing job with my dress and was very flexible to ensure I was perfectly happy with the fit. If you are a bride in search of your wedding dress, I cannot say enough good things about Rana! What I loved most about my experience with Rana, is that she does not pressure you to purchase anything! You can tell she is passionate about what she does, and offers honest advice as if you are her own daughter looking for your wedding gown. Rana's Bridal wasn't my first stop in my bridal journey, but it was my last! I went to Rana Bridal after going to 3 other Bridal shops. 2 being also local in NJ and 1 being out of state. When we got to Rana's and I put on the dress, the second I turned around my mother was crying. We all knew this was the one! Another reason I am so happy I've purchased my dress through Rana is because she is an extremely talented alternations specialist as well! She does all of the fittings and alterations herself, which I was very impressed by. It helped me feel very comfortable how involved she is throughout the whole process. My lace dress requires a lot of hand alternations, not to mention my custom hand-maid veil! For my 2nd fitting, my mother flew up again. Somehow I had the time of my fitting incorrect. But Rana knew my mother had come up especially for this, and fit me in right there no problem! I know she didn't have to do that, as it was my mistake, but I was so grateful and appreciative that she did. My dress is a Canadian designer, Calla Blanche. Wow. Rana is amazing. Seriously. I had tried on dresses at a few places before, and I am so happy I found Rana. One of the things I noticed off the bat was that, while other stores would tell me that I needed to buy ASAP, Rana actually looked up the order time and didn't apply undue pressure. But the best thing about Rana is that she's a true seamstress, so she sees the possibilities in a dress and can help you craft your dream since she's the one who will be doing the alterations. When I was trying on dresses, we found one that I really liked but was missing a few things I wanted, and Rana showed me what could be changed, added, etc. The result was my absolute dream-dress, and I'm not even the kind of person who believes in dream-dresses. I bought my dress at Rana bridal and had Rana alter my dress. I tried on dresses at Kleinfeld's and other well known stores in NYC, but the experience I had at Rana Bridal was superior. I booked an appointment with Rana, hoping that I would find my wedding dress. A good friend of mine had recently ordered her dress from Rana, and recommended her shop because the pricing for gowns was particularly competitive. However, I was disappointed with my visit, primarily due to the person who was "assisting" me, Olivia. To be frank, Olivia seemed a little "off." She greeted my friend and me when we entered the shop, and asked if I was with "Pia" (?). I told her that I was interested in an A-line dress, with a tulle skirt. This was the first red flag - she started showing me dress after dress, all tightly fitted (mermaid/trumpet styles). She clearly did not understand what "A-line" meant. I also told her that I was interested in a specific designer (which Rana carries), and asked if she could pull some dresses from that line. Her response was,"Oh, they're all over the place." Um...shouldn't you know where to find specific dresses in the store inventory? Once I finally found a few gowns to try, she put me in a dressing room and left me there to attempt to finagle my way into the gowns myself. Then she would randomly open the curtain (while I was in my bra and underwear) to "check" on me. Olivia also asked me my wedding date at least 4 times. The first time, I told her that it was in early December, and her response was that I had "plenty of time." By the fourth time, she told me that I "really needed to order now." So...do I have plenty of time or not enough?! Rana herself was very nice, and I appreciated that she was not pushy about ordering a dress. I think if you already know exactly what dress you want, and it's a designer that Rana carries, you would be okay with ordering your dress from her for a fair price. However, I wouldn't recommend coming here as one of your first stops in the wedding dress search, and I would steer clear of Olivia at all costs. read more

I came here originally because I tried on a dress at Kleinfeld Bridal that I absolutely loved but was out of my budget. I read on other review websites that other brides who specifically wanted August Jones dresses came to Rana's because she is the nearest boutique to NYC that carries her dresses and her prices were better than Kleinfeld... That was all wrong. Rana's bridal was wrong from the moment I walked in. I booked an appointment a week earlier, drove all the way from Queens to come to this half-ass shop. I told Rana I wanted a specific Augusta jones dress. Granted I should have asked if she had it before I made this trip out, I didn't...and of course Rana didn't have it. I was so gutted... I then showed her pictures of other dresses I wanted. She then told me to get up, find my own dresses and bring them back to the fitting room myself? Excuse me? You want me to sort through all your racks? Isn't that what I made an appointment for. I looked through her selection of HORRIBLE gowns and I gave up after 10 min. She didn't even offer to help me. Before I left I asked her what the price of the gown was that I originally wanted, she came back and quoted me a price that was way above Kleinfelds! AND she wanted alterations on top of that!! She then has the audacity to say "look around" and I said "I already did, and I don't like anything, I thought you were going to help me" and all Rana could say was "oooooooooooh" OHHHHH?! I have been getting my alterations done at Rana now for over 2 years. I would not go to anyone else, because no one else can do the job like Rana. 2 years ago I was in few of my friends wedding and Rana worked on all my dresses. I read other reviews about this store that were quite positive, so I decided to give it a shot since I saw some designers on their website that I like. We arrived, walked in, and there was no one there to greet us or tell us where to go or what to do. We stood there awkwardly for a few minutes just looking at racks of bridesmaids dresses, when one of us poked deeper into the salon at about 2:10, and finally someone asked if we were the 2 o'clock. There were two people working the store, the owner and an assistant. The girl and the owner snipped at one another right in front of us because she ran over her last appointment. I understand waiting a little, but didn't think it was professional to see them gripe in front of us. The assistant was nice enough and I know she meant well. I showed her a bunch of pictures of gowns I like (ballgowns), and what details I preferred. She pulled two gowns, which, sadly, she could hardly help me into. She's a small girl, and she complained that each one was really heavy. Luckily, I'm used to putting on elaborate costumes, and I had no trouble with the gowns, and we worked out a system to get me into the dresses. When I asked for corseted dresses, she told me that they only have one or two, which seemed odd. Then I realized that their selection is quite lacking. She brought me one corsetted gown, which was pretty nice. But after that, she was out of ideas and asked us to look at the racks ourselves. We found a bunch more corseted dresses to try (at least 5), and found a couple winners. However, the store didn't carry anything under $1500. Averaging around 2.5k it seemed. Also, 1/3 of the sample dresses wouldn't keep closed enough to leave the dressing room (just a curtain, not a room), or would not fit over my hips, which I admit are child-baring size. If you're size 14 or up, or a curvy girl, you might have trouble trying on a decent percent of their selection, which is already limited. I'm not sure if this is standard or their fault, but I'm just giving a heads up. If you're going to spend 1.5k+ on a dress, go to Kleinfelds, because even though that's on the lower end of what they carry, they'll STILL have more selection and give you much better service. By the end of it, the owner was helpful, giving me info about a particular dress I liked. So at the very least she was informative, and gave me instructions about what to do next if I wanted the dress. However I don't think I'll be going back, the whole experience was so lack-luster, it's not worth the trip for me, even though I'm just a few miles away. read more

Thank you... dearly. After several tearful moments of signing a contract with a dress I didn't love, my aunt suggested Rana Bridal where my cousin got her dress. With nothing to lose, we drove the 2 hours to see Rana, and yes. I ended up with a sample gown that fit so effortlessly, minimal alterations, with an unbelievable budget. She honors referrals - that is, if a friend/family told you about her store, then she will give a discount on your dress. Ask the person to call ahead and give her a heads up. The exterior of the store doesn't look like much, but inside, there are plenty of gorgeous gowns, with decent prices. I needed a sample given my time restriction, but she allowed me to pull from the racks to try on different styles. Let it be known that even her sample dresses are pristine and maintains the structure/color/quality as a new dress. She didn't pressure me to buy, but she immediately recognized my face when I knew this was the one. My mother wanted me to try on other bling dresses, which Rana was generous enough to let me extend the time, but I knew it didn't matter. It occurred to me that I had experienced the moment when brides say "you just know." It was a hilarious moment for me, and stress-relieving, already... and then the budget with alterations was not one I could turn down. Sorry other dress, but I'll have to sell you or something. Came back for my first fitting last week, and she spent two hours on my dress. She told us she usually asks the customer to visit a few times, but since we were from far away, she wanted to get it done as quickly and accurately as possible. I didn't mind standing in my wedding heels for two hours staring at myself, but I felt bad for Rana on the floor while she was working on the layers to hem. Horrible service.. i step in bc i made 11am appointment for bridesmaid dress. The lady (i dont even know her name) comes out slowly. No greetings. I put the dress on. No pinning. Had to ask her to do it. I tried taking pictures myself, she won't offer to help. So i asked her. She does it carelessly. Then i said i wanted to try on other dresses. She doesnt even show me where i can find other dresses. She tells me the other bridesmaid came in yesterday and tried on like 10 dresses. She disappears for 10-15 minutes without any words. I went and grabbed dresses myself. I put it on without pin. Stood there texting my friend about the horrible service.. The lady comes in and say do u need to try on other dresses? I already grabbed few dresses and she says you should ask the bride about the choice of fabric and takes out the one i chose saying this wont work, that wont work. I ask the bride thru text and she says try on anything and she will come see it herself in a few days. So i try it on, ask her to pin the dress again and then she does it. I tried them on. Im texting my friend, and while im still standing there, she starts taking back the dresses to the show room. While im standing texting, she took the pin off of my dress!! like im some kind of object standing there??? I change to back to my clothes, i didnt even put down the item number of the dresses i tried on. I ask her. Oh. I need to write down the item number of the dresses. She says, you look up the tag and take a picture yourself. I go to the showroom hanger, cannot find where she put it. I had to tell her again. Well.. i cant find the dress.. so i finally told her.. 'you dont put down the numbers yourself? Bc the bride said she will come in and take a look at the choices i made.' She says, 'oh ill remember which ones they are' yea... sure she will. Oh then i also realized she didnt even bring me shoes to wear with the dress fitting. I had a medium heel sandal and im pretty tall so didnt even realize the need for shoes. I saw the dress shoe sitting in the next changing room unused. No. There was no one else in the shop besides me and her. It was a small shop. No other guests. It was not busy at all. *Warning the following review may be over-dramatic, but unfortunately true. Please proceed with caution* I had visited Rana Bridal this weekend in hopes to find a dress for my friend who is getting married in 2014. Our previous appointment ran a little late so I called the salon to let them know that we would be a few minutes late for our 3:00 appointment. Clearly that did not matter because when we showed up around 3:05 we were not seen until 3:20. I completely understand that things happen and appointments go over, and I probably would have let it go if the rest of our appointment didn't go as badly as it did. I think the owner finally came up to us and started asking my friend what she was looking for. We gave her all of the details we were looking for, sweetheart neckline, mermaid and trumpet style dress, no ball gowns or anything with tulle or crinoline. She then asked when the wedding was, and we told her it was this upcoming April. She scoffed and then asked why we waited so long. Uhm Ma'am, none of your business to judge why we waited a little longer than usual to get a dress. But we politely answered her question, and the reason being is that my friend was finishing up nursing school and that was her top priority. She then told us to pick dresses we liked and showed up where the dressing room was. I was a little beyond myself because after we told her what we liked she didn't give us any type of direction to go in to find what we were looking for. We were completely lost and didn't have a clue what we were picking because everything we so smushed together we couldn't differentiate what was what, and of course our owner pal had disappeared during this entire process. So after breaking our arms while reaching for these extremely heavy garments, owner chick found us and brought us over to the fitting room. I sat on the couch and waited for the first dress to be revealed. She pulled back the curtain and I was staring at my unhappy friend in a puffy tulle ball gown. Immediate no, the next dress, same thing but in satin. After the 3rd dress that was completely wrong I asked if she is going to try on any of the trumpet or mermaid dresses. Her response to me was "No, she doesn't look good in them. too tight, no point" I was beside myself. I was done. What a rude bitchy thing to say. Now, my friend looks gorgeous in that style dress as I just saw her try on 30 dresses in that style in the place before. I told her we were done here, and didn't want to see anymore and we left. I'm not quite sure what kind of place you're running here Rana, but I don't think clients like to be insulted before buying a 3,000.00 item. Oh and the best part of this catastrophe was when we were done my friend was just curious about the price of one of the dresses, and Rana said it was 3,000.00 but she would give her 50% off. I didn't realize we were shopping on Canal street, but by the looks of it, clearly we were. *Bonus* there is a bar next door, so should you decide to make the terrible decision to visit this underprivileged, awful excuse of a business you can have a cocktail after wards to wash away the poor judgment. read more

Rana is the best! I found my perfect dress here - the first one I tried on. It was a bit out of my budget but Rana worked with me to find the pricing that worked best for both of us. Although there was a slight hiccup (I actually ordered the same exact preowned wedding dress online for cheaper after trying the dress on at Rana, but it didn't fit nicely and had stains so didn't work out), Rana was very patient with me and still gave me the original pricing we had worked out. You can tell that she really handpicks the dresses that she has because the quality of them are on a different level (this is why you should never try on dresses you cannot afford by the way). Found Rana through a friend as she had gotten her wedding gown from her store. The store is well kept and has very beautiful decor. There is also plenty of parking in the back. Would suggest making an appointment so that she can give you her full undivided attention. Before I came to Rana, I had gone to Pronovias (flagship store in NYC), Kleinfelds, and RK Bridal. I must say that Rana has the most competitive prices (dress and alterations). She also has a wide selection of dresses and lets you sort through the rack (but also offers help if you prefer to have dresses selected out for you). What I appreciated was that she was also very realistic - if there is a dress you are envisioning and she doesn't carry it she will let you know so you don't waste time. I ultimately chose a pronovias gown from Rana (had also eyed it at the pronovias store and RK bridal) but chose to pull the trigger at this store as I had heard amazing things about her alterations and also she gave me the best price! After looking/struggling all over the New Jersey/New York City area for the perfect wedding dress, I decided on the Pronovias Princia at Rana Bridal. Unlike all the boutiques and stores in New York City that I visited, I never felt pressured or rushed at Rana Bridal. Rana was patient and helpful but most importantly, the price of the dress and alterations were more than reasonable. Due to the delicateness of the dress I chose, the alteration process took a lot longer than we anticipated, but I was more than than thrilled by the way the dress turned out! Rana really took the time to make sure my dress was as close to perfect as possible. I received so many compliments on how beautiful I looked on my wedding day and Rana deserves all the credit! I find it so strange that all these girls are having all this problem at this place. I checked out projectweddings.com and the reviews were amazing there. I'm not sure if the girls that reviewed on yelp were just too picky or what not, but sometimes when sales ppl at Kleinfields run out of ideas (since you don't like anything they pulled for you) they tell you to look through the racks too. So I don't see the difference. The owner Rana was super nice, looked through everything for me and found amazing dresses for me to try on. They were decently priced and the selection was great. They helped me on with the dress and even helped with matching jewelry, headpiece, and veil. I would definitely recommend coming here. Make sure to call beforehand just to see if they are running behind. That's what I do with every appointment I have with anyone. They are honest here and don't rush you to buy. No one is following you around the store so you can just browse at your own leisure. Ask for Sarah, she's the assistant and does an amazing job with making you feel comfortable. Several years ago when I got married I found a dress in a magazine and Rana Bridal carried it. I made an appointment and all went well, I liked the dress and ordered it. Rana was really nice, congenial and inviting. The salon was cozy and nice. The problem for me had more to do with language issues and I found she brushed off important things I wanted. When the dress arrived it wasn't sized properly. Rana told me she was going to add fabric which would've changed the style and not to mention I was paying over 2k for a dress and didn't want substitutions at that point. She made good and ordered a new dress which came a day before the wedding. She rushed me out of the store and wasn't as nice when I went to pick up. I was disappointed in the way she treated me. I feel she could've made a bad situation good, I would've sent people to her. Maybe if she was more through with details or took the time she would be better. read more

I just bought my wedding dress here this weekend, after a LONG search that brought me to a bunch of wedding stores in NJ and to Kleinfelds. I left a salon in a neighboring town this Saturday with my mother, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, frustrated that once again I wasn't able to find a dress that captured exactly what I wanted. On a whim my mother-in-law suggested we try a new store, and after googling "Bridal Salon" Rana popped up. I called and asked if we could come in, and she asked if we could give her a half hour. I thought this was very reasonable given I called in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. When I walked in I honestly didn't expect much - the salon is small, and they don't carry nearly as many gowns as, say, Kleinfeld. But the manager who helped me was so easy to work with - no pressure, very calm, and patient with my very opinionated family. She graciously let us look through the racks and pull whatever we wanted, and helped me into 8+ gowns that my Mother in Law picked out. Even knowing that I really didn't like those gowns, and was only trying them to appease my mother-in-law, the manager was patient and helpful. I've worked with plenty of other bridal store consultants who would have been nasty or at least disinterested with my Mother-in-Law's picks, but this woman acted like we had all the time in the world, and she had no problem at all letting me try every gown in the store. I can't possibly overemphasize how unusual and wonderful that was. After trying them all on, she asked me if she could pick one out for me. I'm SO GLAD I said sure, why not, because despite the lowest of expectations (after just trying on a series of gowns that I hated), as soon as she put that gown on me and I looked in the mirror, I melted. It was my dress! Finally! At that point I had tried on dozens of gowns, at 4 other stores, and worked with 7 consultants at other stores. The FIRST dress that the manager chose for me was PERFECT. She didn't rush me at all (unlike Kleinfelds - truly awful how much pressure they put on brides to "Say yes!") so I walked around in the dress, keeping my thoughts to myself and looking in the mirror, for a good 10 minutes. When I finally said yes I want this one, I was so comfortable with the decision because it was mine - not the result of caving into pressure from the salesperson, but my own suggestion. The sales transaction was easy, as was the measuring. After I had paid and gotten my receipt, she even let us sit there and hang out for a little bit while I processed what had just happened. No rush, no pressure, no attitude. I haven't picked up the dress yet, obviously, so I can't speak to the rest of the experience. I am by no means a bridezilla, but my dress was one piece that had to feel perfect. I moved from NYC to STL about 3 months after my engagement and went to 13 dress shops around the area with no luck. I initially wanted a mermaid dress, but after trying on so many styles, I fell in love with ballgown. Each shop I went into MAYBE had 3 ballgowns in the style I liked (tiered handkerchief bottom). I was getting tired of making appointments and was starting to think I should probably settle. When my then fiance and I visited his family in New Jersey, his mom booked 3 appointments, one of which was Rana Bridal. The second we walked in to Rana's boutique, she greeted us with a smile and asked for the style I was interested in. I explained what I was looking for and she placed 5 dresses in the dressing room and assisted me in trying them on. Each one I tried on was better than the last, any of them could have easily been the dress. They did not compare to anything I tried on at the previous 13 shops in STL. The last dress I put on ended up being the dress I wore on my wedding day. With a nice heel, I did not need any adjustments other than the bustle. The designer was Aire Barcelona and Rana is one of two shops in the whole state that has that designer. While I did go over my budget, I got the dress at a very competitive price thanks to Rana. She was very patient and communicated regularly months after ordering to ensure that it was shipped to me in time. I could not be more pleased with Rana Bridal and recommend her shop to anyone that is looking for a dress! read more

Rana is the best!! First off, her salon is very cute and nicely laid out. She has many options at various price points. I told her my budget and she made sure I stayed within it (which I can't say was the same for other salons in the area). She was very patient with me since I wasn't sure what I wanted. She pulled dresses of all different styles and let me pick as many as I wanted as well. I ended up saying "yes" to the first dress she pulled. She has an amazing eye!! This was of course after I tried it on 3 times at my first appointment. Went to other salons and came back to try it on again a few times. Throughout the process I was never pressured into buying the dress. Rana did all the alterations on my dress. Each fitting was a fun and easy experience. She also altered my flower girls' dresses that we borrowed from a friend. She was very kind and gentle with my 2 year old niece when I took her for her fitting. Her dress was 1 size too big and Rana did a perfect job fixing it and at a great price! She also, switched the sashes that were on the dress and sewed new ones on. She truly saved the day when I brought in my veil (which I borrowed from my sister) to a fitting and we realized that there was some rust on the comb. This happened from the cleaners I brought it to for it to be pressed. Rana tried to clean it then had the brilliant idea of covering it with white fabric and tulle. Rana is AMAZING and I cannot sing enough praises about her. No, seriously, she is a-ma-zing. The entire wedding process can be very stressful, but she helps to make it stress-free and is definitely someone you can trust! She has an unmatched ability to bring your your wedding dress visions to reality. Truth be told, I went to three other salons before I ended up at Rana Bridal (Kleinfeld's, Jaehee Bridal, RK Bridal). Many brides think they know the style/type of dress they want, come in with a clear vision (or in some cases, not), and often times are disappointed when what they think they want doesn't quite match up with what it looks like in reality - I was definitely one of those brides. Despite seeing numerous dresses at a number of different price points, I just couldn't find THE dress, until my florist recommended Rana (who she had used for her own wedding). I walked into Rana's with a portfolio in hand (Type A bride, I know) and explained to a very attentive Rana what it exactly was that I was looking for. She looked through my photos, looked me up and down, and then disappeared into the racks of dresses and picked out four dresses. Except I didn't need 4 (though I still tried them on haha). The very first one she picked out for me was EXACTLY the kind of dress I had been looking for! Up until then, I had tried on about 20+ other dresses. While some were okay, some pretty, and some really nice, nothing had that WOW factor I wanted and none felt like MY dress. I actually didn't believe other brides when they talked about that moment when you find your dress - I thought it was all BS... that is, until Rana helped me find mine and I had my own moment! She helped me combine everything I liked about a number of different dresses and helped me find the perfect dress, veil, and belt. I actually lost about 30 pounds throughout the entire wedding prep process and Rana was more than accommodating to the weight loss. She is so meticulous and is definitely a perfectionist herself - she will give you nothing short of everything you want (but let's be reasonable...). She was able to adjust my dress GORGEOUSLY - even last minute alterations up to the week before my wedding! I am SO thankful to have found her and HIGHLY RECOMMEND her to anyone who is as picky as I am. Chances are, she's even pickier than you! She brought to life my wedding day visions and if I could do it all over again, I would not change a thing! She helped me pull together the entire look in an exquisite way, helping to achieve balance and always giving me really great tips along the way. I'm not sure how accurate this, but based on my observations, her bridal salon does have a certain "style" - it's feminine, sophisticated, and pretty, and less princess/poofy or glamorous/sexy. It holds both the classics and current trends, and a lot of dresses inbetween too. I will say that in the beginning she was a bit stand offish, which may come off as rude, but that is definitely NOT her intention and she warms up to you really quick! Also, even if you go with a group (including bridesmaids, family, in laws, etc.), she makes sure she listens to YOUR voice and not anyone else's. I am super grateful to her for dealing with my Type A bridezilla-ness in such a professional manner. I can tell that she takes great pride in her work. She doesn't pressure you to order everything else through her either (bridesmaids dresses, accessories, etc.). But I did end up buying my flower girl's dress on her clearance rack for $20! She has years of experience and sophistication, so when in doubt, definitely defer to her years of wisdom and taste. WOW!!!! I can not say enough about this positive experience. I felt like at Rana's they truly wanted me to find THE dress and not just say i look great in anything to take my money, at no point i felt rushed to buy anything or to leave. It was a personal experience being helped during each fitting. Even when i felt like i needed more time to decide and said i would still look around she offered to write the details of what i tried there to help my search elsewhere.
