me and my friend went to paint pottery on February 14th and they told us come in 2 weeks and you should receive a text. I never received a text. then I called them in March and she told me to come in whenever today so I came as soon as I could I called around 5 and got there at 5:55 I live 30 minutes away. online it says that they are open until 9 expect Sundays they close at 5. so i drove 30 minutes for nothing all because they wouldn't update their website info. still haven't gotten my pottery hopefully soon. read more

If you are looking to have a fun time, DO NOT GO HERE!! If I could give zero stars to this place, I would. I have never had such a horrible experience, and I've gone to many pottery painting studios. We came as a family and picked out a large piece to work on together and even though we were all paying a studio fee, the paint was getting rationed to us, and they got annoyed when we ran out and asked for more. SO stingy and unpleasant. Grace hovered over us the whole time, interfering and telling us how much paint to use (she didn't want us to use too much even though I knew from past experience that it needs 2-3 coats of paint or else it looks streaky) It was just so unpleasant. There are no prices on the pieces, and they only allow three paint colors - the whole thing had a dishonest and stingy feel. The owner was mad and huffy because we were working on a large piece together as a family instead of individual pieces. An expensive piece mind you! One of the benches was shaky which made it hard to paint and when we asked to switch for a chair that no one was using we were told we were making too many requests and we should leave! I have NEVER - in any other painting studio - had my paint colors restricted or rationed or told how many coats I can put on the piece or how many people can work together THIS WAS RIDICULOUS!!!! There are so many other local pottery places - find somewhere more kind, family oriented and friendly if you want to have a good time. I wish I would have read the other one star reviews before I came here because what they describe was exactly my experience. read more

My daughter and I sat down on a Sunday to re-create the Christmas tree that my mother and grandmother made some 50+ years ago. We wanted to create a new heirloom for our family. The owner, Grace, was very welcoming, and the the studio was very clean and homey. Masks were optional (except for Grace who kept hers on the entire time). There were private rooms available and all the main studio tables were spaced apart appropriately. I chose to paint a cup with many flower details and stayed for 3+ hours. Grace was very patient and willing to let me stay that long to finish my cup! Would definitely come back to paint again! read more

My friend and I came here yesterday for a relaxing couple of hours of pottery painting. We had the best time. Grace the owner was so kind and helpful plus there are endless amounts of pottery to choose from. You also can't beat the prices and it includes the firing. My friends and I visited this place for a second time. We've had excellent experiences both times. The first time we went, we brought our friend's daughter and she also had a great time. (Very kid-friendly!) The place is clean and tidy. They always have Disney music in the background, which is a plus! They also have private rooms for group parties as well as a common area for smaller groups or pairs to come and just paint. My friends painted the cups in an ombré style and the owner, Grace, was very helpful in teaching us how to paint the items. I chose to paint the bowl, which took quite some time to cover all the surface area, but it was so relaxing and therapeutic. Grace gave very clear and easy-to-follow instructions before we began and gave us helpful tips on how to go about painting the items. Grace checked in on us several times throughout the whole time we were there and made sure we had everything we needed. When we had difficulties with some techniques, she was very kind in instructing and helping us throughout the whole experience! Not sure why the word cafe is in the name of this place as they don't have any food or drinks. They only let you pick 3 colors (as other posters said) per item you paint despite giving you a tray with at least 7 places for various colors. Prices for the pottery are not posted. The seating fee was reasonable ($6) and I believe at par with other places however the cost of the pieces are not posted and it was hard to get clear answers from the people working there on cost. The pieces itself were very expensive. The two people who work there (who I assume are the owners) hover over you the whole time. read more

Been wanting to do some pottery painting and I'm so happy that pottery paint cafe was my first experience. Spent a good Saturday afternoon and no time was wasted. Grace, the owner, is absolutely the best! She took the time to explain everything and give advices on how to make our pottery come out the best. This place is so cute!! I was pleasantly surprised at how modern and clean the studio is. I brought my niece to do some pottery painting and we both had a blast. There are a ton of pieces you can choose from at different price points. You pay a base charge (adult or child) and then you pay for the pottery of your choice. You have to wait 1-2 weeks for them to fire the painted pieces and you can pick it up when it's done. The staff (including the owner) are all very gracious and added plenty to the experience. The studio is a large open space which is cute with cute tables chairs and decor. There is a fair amount of options for painting pottery. There is also cool other options like glass art and other things with classes available. Appears clean. The owner took the time to teach us a couple of cool techniques. I've been to quite a few of these types of places in 3 different states. The prices are high, as most of the places are. Almost none of the options are labeled with prices or are behind a price that is not for that item, so you have to ask. There is a $6 sitting fee, which would be fine ... except, you can only use 3 colors. 3 colors? It doesn't matter how big or complex your piece is... 3 colors. We were told our group should coordinate so that we could use each other's colors? Well that is... weird. Okay we did that. But then, each color you only get one spot filled in the painter's palette... literally one... okay? Did I mention we had huge pieces. So you have this large piece you're paying $60 on top of a $6 sitting fee and you have 3 small dips in a painter's palette filled with paint. So every few minutes we had to find Grace and ask her to refill them. That would have been fine... except after the second refill she started only half filling the single space and making comments like, "well you're almost done." How do you know? Also, we were supposed to be able to share with each other. We weren't able to do this in the way she limited our paint. I have been to places that let you fill your paints yourself and I have been to places that fill for you, but I have NEVER felt limited in the amount of paint I was allowed to use, until here. She told me not to waste paint painting the inside... but you can see the inside, why wouldn't I paint it ? Also she discouraged painting a second coat on my item ... anyone who has done ceramics knows the difference between 1, 2, or 3 coats and for a solid coat, 1 is never enough, but I suppose when you're trying to ration paint ? The hours here were what we needed and the finished items came out okay but we eventually gave up as the time wasted finding her to get the paints refilled was frustrating and annoying and it just didn't feel worth it anymore. For kids who do not care about the final product, it's a fun expensive time, but for adults who are interested in utilizing pieces in their decor, probably best to go elsewhere. read more

I came here to have a nice time with my niece and the lady was very meticulous about what paint brushes my niece could and could not use because she wasn't "gentle." I came from NY a week later to pick up the pottery we painted, I got here at 6:55pm and they are closed. According to yelp and the sign on their door they are open until 9pm. I call her and she tells me pick up is only until 6pm and they are closed and hangs up on me. I am so upset with this place for her comments towards my niece and her dismissiveness towards us being here, especially since I already paid. Even my 8 year old niece said "how can they put up flyers that say something else, people are going to get confused." read more

I was here to attend a birthday party for my friends daughter. Place is immaculately clean and the owner grace is very friendly and welcomes everybody. This is such a plus in the service and entertainment industry. We had a large group of kids and yet they seemed to manage everything so beautifully. They even have complimentary coffee which was my husbands favorite hangout station. The kids were given really cute options to paint. They had enough time to finish their projects and they obviously let their creativity run wild. I am definitely going to book this place for my daughters birthday. Had our niece's birthday party here and the staff were so accommodating I returned for a girls night out to give it another try. The staff provided great service once again and we had the best time getting some art therapy while pottery painting. There is a fee of 9$ that covers brushes and paint along with a friendly tutorial or assistance with whatever it is you are making. My conversation was with the owner at the front desk. No one else was there. You can try all you want to turn this into a playing the victim routine but the bottom line is the owner was rude, made the birthday guests eat on a dirty table by the owner after being told by an employee it was okay to use a clean table for the birthday cake and the owner also promised to instruct the children but instead she went off to paint pottery and left a first day employee in charge. read more

Came here a few weeks ago with some girlfriends and had a fabulous time!! The space is beautiful, clean, organized, and wonderfully decorated, with a number of rooms even available for private events! They have plenty of pottery jars to choose from to paint, and noticed they offer many other services, like canvas painting.
