I love, love, love Ranch! I am a huge burger fan, and Ranch has that old fashioned, can't be beat burger. Not sure I get this place... It's like Bothell's version of Dick's... but expensive? I was like ok, 6 bucks for a cheeseburger and fries, that's twice as much as Dick's but then it didn't come with fries, that pushed it to 9. Can't say it was significantly better either. I do agree with the other reviews, its pricey, but the food is good. For a burger, fries, and a drink, it was around $12. For that price, you could go to Red Robins, and get unlimited drinks & fries, and also for that price you could go to Five Guys and get a huge portion of their regular order of fries. I'd say to be competitive in today's market, they should do what Dicks Drive in is doing, and lower their price, then it would be the place in Bothell. read more

The double bacon ranch burger is delicious! Pretty disappointed in the crinkle cut fries though they seem like they were frozen.

The prices at the Ranch have ballooned along with Bothell's recent development. The staff is still largely local high school students, as have been the case for the last 30 years. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich tonight, but what I got was a grilled chicken sandwich. Not a big mistake, but is typical of what happens every time I go there. I don't understand why this place has such great reviews. Maybe if you grew up with it and it's nostalgic? Burgers are super thin and 2 of our 3 were badly burned. My mushroom Swiss burger used a bad tasting processed Swiss-like cheese. Fries, onion rings, chicken and fish are all bagged frozen products. Ice cream comes from a powder mix. My burger was over $7 and fries have to be purchased separately. Much too high of a cost compared to the food quality. read more

This place used to be a lot better before the owners kid took over. He obviously doesn't care about keeping a good reputation. The burger patties are paper thin and you get more bun than anything else. You can't tell if you will get burnt fries or soggy fries. No telling how the food will turn out on any given day. When going to a restaurant, you're usually interested in 2 things: good tasting food and reasonable price. Food taste: inconsistent. Once, the milk shake was great but the crinkle fries limp and greasy. Another visit, both fries and shake were good. Last visit, crinkle fries were great, milk shake looked and tasted like ice milk. When queried, clerk said shake machine was not working and they had to make the shakes a different way. I requested a refund of half the cost of the shake and they agreed. Price: large shake and small fries with tax = $6.50. Pretty expensive for what you get. I wouldn't mind so much if their food was consistently great! read more

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I decided to try Ranch Drive-In for the first time. We dined in, and while we waited for a our food at a table, two boys walked up to the order window and start heckling their friend that worked inside. They even called him "fat ass". Needless to say, that is completely inappropriate and one does not need to listen to that kind of rude behavior while trying to enjoy a meal. Their service has always been good, and they hire students in the area which I think is great to help them develop work ethic and also save for cars, college or life after high school. Good burgers but the service needs some work. I asked for a Special Burger with cheese and was brought out two specials no cheese. When I asked about the cheese I was told that the specials don't come with cheese. No where on the menu does it say that. In fact underneath the Special burgers, there's an option to add cheese. When asked why I can not have cheese just placed on them, I was told the following, " I dunno, it's store policy, I just serve the food." And he walked off. read more

I just don't understand why this place has a banana split on the menu but never has bananas. Take it off the menu if you aren't able to serve it. First excuse was "we don't buy bananas in the winter because they don't sell enough and they draw bugs." Well what about today, middle of June and 80 degrees out, still no bananas. Put them in the fridge! Skin may brown but the fruit stays fresh. I'm tired of being disappointed. Time to find another ice cream joint. read more

My friend strongly insisted that I had to have their chocolate shake with the burger, but I just couldn't- how can you eat something so greasy like a burger and then wash it down with shake?
