Usually a good experience but it could be better. This place hires young kids and training is limited. One girl at the front, the one without the nose ring, asks a customer, 'Dp you want your change?' How about, 'Sir, here's your change '. Young man who took our order was Gage. The lane for the drive thru is short in length and cars vehicles are often blocking the entrance to the parking lot. I went out of my way to park in the next business parking lot. I wanted a milkshake, which I got rather quickly but they forgot the shake part as all the flavoring was in the middle. Dinning area really needs a makeover. It was toasty warm inside and could feel the heat coming from the kitchen. the employee helping me was perspiring noticeably. I can only imagine how the others were. All the employees looked uncomfortable and did not notice anyone wearing a hair net. Maybe that's not a requirement? I won't be going back. read more

We tried this place for the first time. It's right down the street from the library and the aquatic center. We ordered the fish and chips and it came with fries and buttered toast. We also ordered onion rings and ranch. The kids ordered a small chicken strips basket that came with fries and buttered toast. The kids loved the chicken strips and ranch. I loved the onion rings. They were nicely breaded. The ranch was not my favorite but it was still good. I also liked the fried fish. The fries were not my favorite but they were still tasty. Next time I think we wanna try the pot roast sandwich and their shakes. The lady taking our order was really nice. The guy handing us our order at the window was not very personable. I get it. It's a summer job. We will definitely be back to get something else. read more

Your typical drive-in type of place. Classic American food and ok service. My food was good, no complaints. I got a bacon cheeseburger & fries and a PB shake (the shake was actually delicious). The line to get through to the drive-thru kinda sucks and you'll likely be waiting in the roadway. It's incredibly slow moving, so not a good place if you're in a rush. From arrival, ordering, and getting my food it probably took over 15 mins. I saw a few people give up and leave the line. Overall, cool place and I'd go again if I'm not in a hurry. read more

I ordered $53 worth of food and received no ketchup or hot sauce for the burritos. then called the manager to let them know and he said did they ask if you wanted sauces I said nope, and his response was you should have told them when you placed your order. no customer service! won't be going back! I don't eat fast food but the one time I did it was pilchuk drive thru right in the neighborhood where I live. I had food poisoning for days and I don't know if it was the meat but I was not well. I have been going to the Pilchuck drive in since the 1960's. It was one of my favorite drive ins in the state. I think it changed owners during the COVID crisis, not sure. But the hamburgers have gone way down in quality. Why? Too dry! They have hardly any relish or mayo or whatever. McDonald's has been my alternative. I pulled up to the sign and waited my order was never taken. never was spoken to and told to wait like most places would when they're busy. Okay, first off I've been eating at Pilchuck my whole life, over 50 years. It's always been one of my favorites but when the most recent family member of Jim's took over (maybe 10 years ago or so) service went way down and continued to get worse and worse. It got so bad that I would only eat there once a year just to see if by chance it had gotten any better. It used to be so filthy in the dining area and on other separate visits I had a hair in a burger, I had an almost completely raw hamburger patty, an almost completely raw chicken strip, I actually had soured ice cream, and the customer service was non-existent as the young kids barely ever spoke a word to you. Well, tonight was my yearly "let's be brave and give it another try" visit. Wow! The customer service was amazing because he greeted me at the drive through, asked how my day was, confirmed my order, and even thanked me for my order. Though I didn't go in, I peeked in the dining area as I slowly rolled to the drive-thru window and it looked very clean and all the tacky lights and non-matching decor was replaced with what should have been there when they last remodeled several years ago and it was hideous. The food was delicious, like it used to be many years ago. It's the best it's been since I can remember. The burgers and chicken strips were all cooked and the chicken strips seemed a much better quality, I might almost guess they were hand dipped in batter right there! We were so impressed we thought we should go back and try the swirl cones since it had been about 5 years since the soured cones we had last. I asked this time through if ownership had changed and while the nice young man (another nice one since the earlier order) said no, he did say the owner stepped back and the manager has taken over. BEST DECISION EVER!!!!! I told him how pleased we were with our meal and he seemed genuinely thankful for the feedback. So please keep on doing what you're doing! It's working! Typical drive in restaurant with a decent menu. I'd come in a few weeks ago and my sister got a burger and I got an ice cream which was okay. I came back to get my own burger and onion rings which were pretty good. The tartar sauce was a bit weird seemed almost like Mayo. In the 30 minutes I've been here so far, 2 cars have got their food from the pickup window with a line 4 cars long. We went in thinking it might be quicker. Wrong. Edit after getting home and eating. The burgers are trash. No better than McDonald's at best. Low grade beef and over cooked, under fried fries (soggy), just generally bad quality all around. This place was hopping when I went today. The drive-through was constantly full, and the 8 tables inside remained mostly full for our whole dine-in experience. The restaurant had a bit of a retro feel, with a framed poster from its five year anniversary hanging on the wall, as well as old malt machines and various other old decor. It was fairly clean, and the bathrooms were decent. The girl who took our order was pleasant and professional, and our order was correct. Everything was priced fairly inexpensively. There were many menu options, including burgers, fries, sandwiches, hot dogs, milkshakes, and ice cream. The best thing was that there were a variety of sizes of burgers, from junior burgers all the way up to .5 lb. patties. The burger I had was ok- thin patty, but a bit on the salty side. The fries were decent. The best part of the meal was the peanut butter milkshake I had. This is a good place for people of all ages looking for a relatively inexpensive meal. read more

We came into Snohomish to visit some friends .We have always drive past Pilchuck Drive in and decided we would check it out. Well we sure were glad we did. Friendly service and awesome food! When we got to drive thru window , the cashier noticed our dog and offered him a few strips of bacon and he sure was happy . We each had a bacon cheeseburger and oink rings . I even had a corn dog . Been coming here since I was a a kid, still 10/10, fries, burger, onion rings, and shake were all up to par! The shake is incredible has strawberry pieces in it, my favorite!! The cheeseburger is so good too, cooked perfectly, veggies taste fresh, sauce is perfect, it's one of the best burgers around. Staple to snohomish for sure! Service was great and quick too. So, when we moved back to the area, I knew I wanted to take my family. It's small inside, with a few tables to sit at. While a little run down, it isn't dirty. The staff is kind and helpful, the food comes out hot and delicious, and the prices are pretty good! I always get the fish and chips and I'm never disappointed! I went to pilchuck today because I was going to go to dicks drive in but this was closer. When we got there there was a line of about 6 cars not moving at all, so we thought it would be quicker and easier to go inside. We went inside and the worker were so unprofessional and rude were talking shit about the people they were serving whispering about people when they were eating, pointing at people, and full on death glaring people. Pretty much just stood around while there was a line of about 5 people inside and nobody was getting helped 0 stars would not recommend never going again read more

We are transplants to the area so the origins of this place are a mystery to us. Every time we drove by we were always so impressed with how long the line was and how busy it appeared to be. Finally a few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to be able to go and pick up dinner here. Well, the line is long because the service is sooooo slow. The prices have been significantly increased from several posted pictures of the menu, which is understandable due to a variety of factors; however, even if the price of food was at its original, I'd still feel I over paid. This food was terrible. The chicken tenders had a metallic taste to them which made them get thrown away. The fries were slightly still frozen and soggy. The grilled cheese was on hard bread that couldn't be chewed through. And lastly, the cheeseburger was also soggy. I'd like to say the interactions with the workers were pleasant, and unfortunately they weren't great. Both young adults (possibly teenagers?) didn't smile, engage in any niceties, and acted as if this was the worst thing they could be doing at that moment. I get that to some extent- I had a first job that wasn't my dream, and also I understood that I was public facing and approached it differently than they did. I really wish this spot had been a gem- something that's an amazing, sought after, delicious place where we'd want to keep giving back to and eat at. It's not. It's not even cheap for bad food. I've been coming to the Pilchuck Drive In since the late 70's. Always had fantastic burgers with some of the best french fries in the area. I stopped by today. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries with fry sauce. They've changed their french fries. Much to my dismay. Actually threw them into the garbage, they were that bad. Stale and absolutely bland. Please reconsider and bring back the original french fries that you were famous for. read more
