Called a few times and finally had someone call me back. I was thrilled. Then another delay...and…read moreanother delay...and another delay in getting someone out to the house to discuss my landscaping needs. Oops, the guy that came out only cuts lawns...yes, I want that too but want to re-landscape the entire yard. By now I've wasted two weeks. Okay, so now I'm waiting on Sean to call me back. He does, but he's going out of town for a long weekend. Have a great time. I never heard back from him. I'm not going to beg you to take my money although I sure did give them plenty of chances. Ran across another landscaper on my way home. $10,000 later and I'm LOVING my new front yard and side yards. Ready to tackle the backyard now. DUDE...you missed out! As a side note...I posted this review and the owner contacted me and suggested I have the wrong company. Made me feel bad so I told him I'd pull the review but also said that I was pretty sure it was his company and gave him the reasons why. Never heard from him again to assure me or explain why he was sure it wasn't his company. And I'm positive I have the right company, so I'm posting the review again.

He did not fulfill a promise to return to power wash some cemented areas. I decided to reach out to Eli to resolve this issue, along with some other issues I had with his craftsmanship. He did offer to pay the $50 to get the power washing done, but made sure I knew he never said the power washing would be free. But he also never said upfront about it costing extra money. Aside from the power washing, please look at the photos to see that there are gaps in the fence work and two of the fence pickets he used are not up to standard - they don't even reach the base board! The picket closest to the side of the house is not even a full piece of wood! This is disappointing bc I am not an unkind person and do believe in giving grace, especially during this pandemic. However, it is NEVER okay as a business owner to ignore clients. He left me on "read" via text and only responded when I told him I no longer needed him to come fix HIS SLOPPY WORK. All he had to say was, "OK". Very different guy from before I paid him.

It was a relief not to deal with the extra hidden fees you get with big companies. Watching him work, you can tell he's a total professional and knows exactly what he's doing. Great job. Next we had a tree in the front that had been hit and split by lightning about 20 years ago. It was becoming a hazard, so we decided to take it down before it fell on our home. I called Lance again. He was ready to work and while he was trimming the trees on the side of the house, he discovered they were rotten from carpenter ants. So they had to come down. He wanted to plant magnolia trees, but I am not a flower kind of girl. So we planted red maples. He redid our plant beds in the front and planted some boxwood bushes. Then they mulched and put flagstones all around. He had a subcontractor come out to grind the stumps. The house looks naked without the huge trees, but it is for the best. We are very happy. Wasn't cheap, but now we won't have trees fall on our house, fence, or power lines. He was reasonably priced.

But seriously, we have hired John and his team numerous times over the past few years and they have always done exactly what they promised in an efficient and uber-friendly manner. This company has done everything from hauling away old appliances to constructing a rock driveway for us. They are experts at trimming up trees, removing dead trees, landscaping, flood mitigation and pretty much anything else you throw their way. Most recently, John and his team helped prepare our rental property for sale. -- There have been a couple of times that we've called John about projects that weren't his specialty, including a couple of projects that would have paid significantly, and he responded accordingly. How cool is that when a company declines a job that's beyond their scope but gives you a couple of recommendations?!? Bottom line: John and his crew have the keys to our homes and our complete trust that they will perform quality work. I have John on speed dial, and I suspect that I'm not the only one.
