Yummy Detroit style pizza! I got a whole pie of the 4 because it had ricotta on it - this pizza had a kick of spice! The ricotta was sooo good. The shop itself is located in a shredded building with a brewery and there's tons of seating inside and outside. Workers were friendly. Ordered over the phone and picked it up in 20 min. Can't wait to come back!
Ranch Pizza. I've had it a couple of times at work functions but never been to their restaurant. Today, I decided to bring my husband here to surprise him. Guess who ended up getting surprised? Me. That's right--me. I was expecting a small, stand-alone shop with a little walk-up counter and pizza behind the glass. Nope. This place is huge, shared with a brewery. Nice. I walked up to the counter and asked if they sell by the slice. The guy said yes, they're called "quarters." Wait, what? It's literally 1/4 of a pizza. Genius. We ordered a Hawaiian quarter for $9.50 and asked if it came with ranch dip. Yup, hook me up. They gave us a number, and we went to find a seat. After about 20 minutes, our pizza arrived. Thank goodness they cut it in half so we could share--otherwise, I wouldn't have known how to handle that square. Now, it's a triangle slice for each of us, and I can dip the corners in the ranch! Sweet. Dip, dip, bam. Deliciousness. It's not your typical pineapple pizza- it's got a bunch of other things on there as well like jalapeno, bacon and red onion, besides the pineapple. Yummy. Husband approved. That was basically dinner at 6:20 p.m. I love the vibe there--the young and old, all coming together, enjoying their beers (water for the young ones, haha) and pizza, the weather, and having a good time. Very Portland. Yes, I'll definitely be back to this location for more pizza. Later, Ranch Pizza. Parking is free--street parking. Credit card, cash or tap - okay!
Really yummy pizza! We came here for dinner as they closed pretty late. I shared the veggie whole pie and man, let me tell you, this pie is massive! Definitely enough to share with several people. It was just my friend and I, so we had plenty of leftovers. I appreciated that it comes with ranch on the side. Really good ranch too. The crispyness of the pizza paired with the flavor of vegetables on it were great. The only issue I had were the Kalamata olives were extra salty for some reason. I typically like kalamata olives on pizza but I found myself picking all of these off.
This is hands down the pest pizza I've had in Portland and I'd lose all faith in you as an food person if you tried to tell me different. Detroit pizza is where it's at and here is no different! The service was friendly and the outdoor seating made for the perfect vibe. We each got a quarter of a pizza, Hawaii for her and #4 for me, and an order of bread sticks. Every bite is a pizza revelation! It doesn't need ranch, but use it anyway because it's not cool to take shots of ranch, and you're going to down it once you taste it!
My new favorite pizza place in Portland! If you love a good deep dish pizza, you must check out any of the Ranch Pizza locations. I've tried the Pepperoni, Hawaiian, and the #4. But my favorite was Hawaiian by far (pineapples belong on pizza lol). I like how they use bacon that is thick cut and crispy instead of the traditional Canadian ham. The pizza itself is soft and fluffy while the crust outside is extra crispy. I'm kind of picky about my pizza crust, but I'll always finish Ranch's. Pair it with their ranch for the best experience :)
The pizza is absolutely incredible. $8.50 for a slice of crispy fantastic and flavorful pizza. The ranch that comes with the slice I could basically just drink it's that good-- yum! The service was nice, the atmosphere was so cute. Absolutely will be back, 3 mile walk turned into a lovely little lunch break. If you're in PDX don't skip this place. 10/10
I've never had Detroit style pizza before and I'm a MAJOR fan now since coming to Ranch PDX. First off the place is huge with multiple levels so you can easily fit large parties here. It was easy to walk up the bar area to order food/drinks for the table. I started off with the pomegranate cider which was delicious! Some of my friends ordered a beer too that's apprently imported directly from Japan to Portland which looked amazing and something I have to try next time. The whole cheese pizza (pictured) was perfection. I would've given this place 5 stars for that however I got the Chicago-style hot dog and while it was tasty I think it had too much onion and too little hot dog pieces.
This location was in a big brewery that had space for large groups. I didn't try the beer I came for the pizza. It was nice that you can do each half a different style, 1 I got the Hawaiian and it had thick cut bacon, jalapeños & good size chunks of pineapple, the other side was pepperoni. The dough is thick light and airy, the crust has a good crisp at the edge.

Inside is a combination tap room (Baerlic Brewing) with Ranch Pizza on the otherside. Long space with lots of seating both in and out. The pizza itself is on the doughy side - Detroit style - but flavors are good, with a robust sauce profile. A side of ranch comes with. Overall a positive experience, from ordering to pickup.
I used to come here back when it was Ladd's Taphouse, and they've really done some great things to change the space! It feels much more inviting, as well as plenty of space for people to sit/mingle/whatever. The pizza... . This is the best pizza in Portland, in my opinion. It's thick, it's crunchy, it's savory, and absolutely delicious. If you like pepperoni pizza, then THIS is where you want to get it from. I'm literally salivating just THINKING about it. When I went, the service was fast and friendly, and I spent a few minutes chatting with the bartender. I didn't have to wait too long, and they threw a few containers of ranch just cause! I will absolutely come back here... and soon!
This Ranch Pizza is "the pie hall" within Baerlic Brewing. The place is actually huge, with two sides of table seating, one long booth seating area, as well as an outdoor patio. Parking can be tough on 11th but go a few blocks west, and there's plenty of free spots. There is also a 30 minute spot right across the street, which is perfect for pick up which is what I did. I got two pizzas: the veggie whole pie and the "honey I shrunk the pickle" whole pie. They are $31.50 each, which is not cheap. These are thick square slices however, so they are quite filling. One or two slices are totally sufficient for adults in most cases, unlike thinner slices where you might need more if you're hungry. They do also sell quarter or half pies. I also got the house salad, which I would probably skip next time, but it's nice to have some vegetables. They also sell gelato pints from Pronto which I didn't get this time but it's a nice option. Order was ready mostly on time, staff was on it. They replied quickly and helpfully to an email about the order. I also learned that ranch comes with every order! I'll definitely be back, and keep Ranch Pizza as a go-to when I need to feed a group something slightly nicer. read more

Located inside Baerlic brewery !!!! What an awesome space to grab pizza and a beer . Being a pickle lover I had to get Honey I shrunk the pickle - pepperoni, dill pickle, ricotta, mozzarella and topped with hot honey . The whole pie fed 3 people and we were full !! The only thing is they ran out of breadsticks on a Saturday night . read more

Really enjoyed this place. I ordered the special which was hot honey, ricotta, pepperoni, and pickles. Loved it! They give you a complimentary side of ranch too which is a must. Lots of seating, indoor & outdoor. I will come back! read more

This Detroit style pizza was good - I ordered the veg - a few too many olives and not enough cheese - next time I'll review the menu a bit more carefully. Crust was thick, chewy, and was similar to focaccia. Ordering is handled at a counter first and is next to the bar - staff I interacted with was friendly and professional. The space is huge, had a good vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. I'll definitely be back. read more

This is a big barn of a place where you order your pizza at the counter, they give you a table number and bring it out to you. The pizza was amazing, wonderful, delicious! I had a quarter pie of the BBL Glizzy, hot dog pizza! It was super good! We sat at the outdoor seating, it's pleasant and comfortable. There's a huge beer bar, but I wasn't drinking. They have canned soda and water. The pizza was superb, and we'll be back for absolute certain. read more

This has to be one of the best pizzas we've ever had! This pizza is the perfect mix of fresh, dough, crunch and with the jalapeños we added - kick! Everything was super fresh ingredient wise and it's just a must try! This specific location is pretty big and also has a brewery they share space it's so it's the best of both worlds pizza & beer. We also really loved their ranch. Not watery. The service was friendly and the person who took our order did a great job explaining the pizza options as it was our first time. Whenever we're back in town we will definitely stop by again! read more
This place is HUGE! Seriously an ideal space to take a group. The pizza is divine. A crunchy yet soft flavorful explosion in pizza form. The person we ordered from took their time to help us and we really appreciate that. Such amazing options to choose from but the sausage and ricotta combo is just so dang good. It's great to enjoy an amazing beverage with equally amazing pizza. Looking forward to returning and (maybe) branching out to try the other flavors to be had! read more

After seeing someone on TV eating a thick crust pizza I had a total hankering for some. I was on a mission to get really good Detroit style pizza delivered. Now I know of some places nearby that have the goods, but they don't do delivery. Crazy right? So I happened upon this place and it looked like a really good option. So now I'm banking on this. Thank goodness they delivered the perfect pizzas! Thick crispy crust with plenty of flavorful toppings. Plenty of rich sauce and every piece was honestly perfect. And yeah, I like squares for a change. Will definitely be coming back every time I want Detroit style. So good! read more

Despite shape, it was damn delicious and they put it on focaccia bread, which makes it even more soft and chewy but in a good way, not chewy like oh man this is taking forever to swallow... The flavors were booming in my mouth and I got the pepperoni and that's obviously my favorite But all of their styles of pizza were extremely delicious and very fresh. I love white sauce and I love that spicy chili sauce but the white sauce definitely goes better with the pizza. The mushroom pizza or the white cheese pizza you can really taste the fungi. great quality and staff. Highly recommend trying this place. read more
Ranch on SE 11th is part of the Baerlic Brew Hall, offering a selection of classic Detroit style pizzas. Patrons order at the counter for dine in and are given a number to place on their table. When their order is ready, Ranch brings it out to you. It's certainly not rhetorical best Detroit style pizza I've ever had, but it hits the spot when you're craving a taste of the the mid west! The vibe is laid back and cozy inside with a hearth and plenty of table space! Absolutely perfect for a night out with friends - bring your games, grab a table and some pints and lay down the strategy to win! read more

Ranch serves pizza the way I like it -- Siciilian style, what Portland pizza parlors like to call Detroit style. True Sicilian style pizza is called sfincione and has a fluffy bread base beneath a meatless sauce made of tomatoes, onions, herbs, and anchovies covered with bread crumbs and an optional grating of hard cheese, in my experience pecorino. The American version of sfincione is thick and square-cut, ending up with a crunchy, fried bottom layer of crust and slightly burnt sides, with each square overflowing with delicious melted cheese and splashes of tasty, slightly spicy sauce. Meat and other toppings are options. Ranch delivers on most of the above. Nice dough, crunchy, fried bottom layer, crispy edges, impressive spread of pepperoni, but quite light on the cheese and the sauce. Still, good pizza. read more
The love I have for Ranch pizza will never die. First off, the house-made ranch is out of this world. It's herby, but not too herby, its tangy and refreshing. It's thicccccc and clings to your piece of pizza like magic shell on ice cream. It's an 11/10 on it's own. Now, the zaaaaaaa. Always crispy on the corners and soft and pillowy under that delicious sauce. I can never stray from the pepperoni because it is TOP TIER. It's got a little kick without being too much, it's always crispy and just a touch greasy. It forms cups that are perfect for ranch, which is always my favorite. The #4 is my partner's favorite and I absolutely know why. It's outstanding. The Calabrian chilis are perfection with the mix of ricotta. The sausage is always perfectly cooked so it's never dry (that's my biggest pet peeve about sausage normally) and that for me is a win in itself. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the depth of flavor that everything has. One of our unexpected favorites from Ranch is their corn nuts. Thrown them on with your order & I promise you won't be disappointed. They are SO crunchy and flavorful!! They are seasoned with homemade ranch seasoning and the perfect little appetizer for any pizza. If I gotta tell you anything, it's that this square loooooooooves square pizza read more

It's 9:30pm and we already had dinner but everyone ordered pizza and it looked so delicious, crispy, and thick so of course we ordered The #4, 1/4th and it comes in 2 slices! 5/5 pizza with sausage, ricotta, chiles make sure to spread out the ricotta and chiles so every bite has some! Every pizza order comes with ranch! Don't forget to clean up after yourself! read more
I had family in town and I had to take them to the best pizza place in Portland! They loved it (no surprise). Once again the flavors were spot on, we had a whole cheese pizza as our main dish, it was superb. The service was pretty quick, the ranch was amazing, and there was plenty of seating too. read more
